She knew that there was a shark on her okole!! But it’s a matter of staying calm and not getting nervous to the point where you lose your balance and fall in the water. Bcuz that’s the last thing in the world you’d want to do when your heart rate is at 130bpm. It’s so EZ to breathe wrong, thus fall into the H20, and who knows what’ll happen when you fall in. Hammerheads will bite first, then ask questions later. They were telling her from the word go to calmly come to the 🚤 bc of the 🦈 hence the universal hand on head.
Something similar to this happened to my lil brother one time when we were all out on our family boat knee-boarding. We just saw a big fin come up and stay up swimming right behind him while he was on the knee board. My step reacted by calmly raising the speed and telling us to be quiet. Eventually we were going to do fast that my brother started yelling at us and asking why we were pulling him so fast. Once we finally saw the fin disappear (it trails him even after we sped up for a good way) we immediately stopped the boat and told hil not to let go of the rope and we all pulled him in fast as we could. He still don't know what was going on. We told him after he was safe. That element I believe was very important because he was inexperienced and panic would of caused him to fall to soon.
😆😆😆 I was thinking the same thing! Umm Dave, don’t panic there’s a shark circling you…see how I’m off my board now! They whispering and ish talkin bout it’s circling him…

They can attack, but they’re definitely very low on the shark bite list. I think I read there have been 16 recorded hammerhead attacks on humans… ever, none of them fatal.
A lot of these animals can just be curious and you should come inside but if someone can't get to a boat it seems if you don't strike first that they won't bite. The fact that they have a hand signal is adorable b/c my friends would've pushed me in the water lol
Sharks kill like 4 people per average per year. You're way more likely to get killed by your neighbours dog. Seriously, nothing will happen. Sharks are way more intelligent as you think (they have insane senses) and except for great whites, bull or tiger sharks, they almost all eat fish. They're curious about you at best. This woman wasn't at all in danger, hammerheads are big, but even attacks are rare. It was just checking her out. These encounters happen way more often. And if there wasn't any spectators, the shark would have been unnoticed, just like most of them.
Gabe is chilling with his legs hanging in the water! LMAO! I like how they rescued her and then tell Gabe to just stay there WITH HIS JUICY LEGS in the water! Chivalry at its best!

Good for you guys staying calm and talking her to saftey without alarming her. ❤️
you do realize that she was aware a shark was right there, right? if anyone should get the credit for her not being alarmed is herself. they did however do an awesome job at staying calm and not exacerbate the situation.
@@beardedforlife3740she was meaning how they kept her calm. Duh

Kudos for your fund raiser.... My niece had CF had a double lung transplant. We lost her 15 years ago. The have made so much progress in this horrible diease. Wished she was still here. Miss her dearly
❤️❤️ I am so sorry for your loss. 🌷🌈✨
Sorry to hear that. I too have cf. I am 27 now, it didn’t look like I was gonna get this old 5-6 years ago. But I was lucky, I lived long enough to get the new medication that came out in the last years, now im pretty stable. I still only have 40% lung capacity and that’s not gonna improve anymore but it’s not getting worse.

Ohhh Man. I like how their friends didn't make the boarders get nervous. Big Ups. 👏👏
I'd have told Gabe that it was a shark though😂. Tell him to stay there Umm. Not the same thing....
@@alexanderapollo2177 She did tell him. She was making the hand gesture and you could hear her say ‘shark’ in a whisper like she was more mouthing it so he understood.
“You’re doing good” that lil bit of encouragement in that situation must’ve felt so relieving
I've had some of the best interactions with hammerhead sharks than you might imagine.
Do tell!
Look at how calm they are this is unbelievable
Yelling and making noise, makes a shark more aggressive.
It’s not like a shark would attack a human without a reason, it’s probably just cruising and being nosy
@BoxHillAbo not all sharks are great white 😂😂😂😂 they are more likely to be scared of us
@@zaroshybrid9203sharks don’t commonly attack humans but when they do it’s most often surfers/paddle boarders etc.
This is perfect. Her friends did not panic her by telling her about the shark until she was in the boat. Well done.
She knew right away. You can hear right at the start she asks "Shark?" and then "a big one?". Although she definitely did awesome not panicking and her friends helped with that
You can tell she knew what was going on.
lmaooo not gabe. poor gabe
But they took her inexperienced butt out there to begin with. Yeah real smart.
God bless you!
Versus? Fall too late?
I'm so jumping in your boat Sir😂😂 still hooked to the board
Good thinking! Using hand-signs to tell Gabe about the shark because you wouldn’t want the shark to hear you yelling *”SHARK!”*
Lol, don't ya know as soon as you say shark out loud they attack!?
@@shaeparker-yf7xd I stand corrected.
@@dawnconnors8205 😂
😆😆😆 I was thinking the same thing! Umm Dave, don’t panic there’s a shark circling you…see how I’m off my board now! They whispering and ish talkin bout it’s circling him…
Well you know that Gabe may also be a person with hearing disability? Like bad hearing? Plus it's quite loud and sound can be swallowed quite easily in places like this. So, best to assure he knows even if he by any chance struggles to hear correctly what ppl are mewling about over there!
I've seen some comments about them not being in danger because there have been no fatal attacks from Hammerhead sharks. Yes, hammerheads are not very aggressive, but they can still do serious damage. A woman lost her leg in one of the more recent attacks.
Anyone saying there's no danger hasnt been near a shark before. Ine exploratory bite is life changing at minimum
I’ve seen dozens of videos of giant hammerheads eating 5 feet long blacktip reef sharks in one bite.

Bruh what?
😅😅😅😅😅😅 that what I been saying
lol then after the lady gets in the boat she screams “Gabe a huge shark is under you!!!!!” 😂
Thankyou for being calm, dealing with the situation like a boss and respecting the sharks!
She was incredible. Didnt panic or freak out and just focused.on getting to the boat quickly and without falling. 👏🏼 to her. Now Gabe on the other hand....😅 hope he was okay!
I don’t think there’s a boat… I think they’re on a whole bunch of paddle boards in a group together just to look bigger

And a bigger boat.😊

At least a solid kayak. I have paddled for years and love this view of our oceans. You see all kinds of things. It's a whole different world. Sea Otters are among my favorites. So ya, I can agree on sharks...scary brutal.
Someone shoulda been strapped.
@@katiesimpson8517I live in an area where I can ride my kayak amongst alligators and sharks just 20 miles away from each other.

I saw a hammerhead when scuba diving could not have been happier to see that distinctive head. You're safe guys
I think people see a shark and assume they're all dangerous. 😢
If you act wrong they definitely can be though, it's their house so they make the rules.
They can attack, but they’re definitely very low on the shark bite list. I think I read there have been 16 recorded hammerhead attacks on humans… ever, none of them fatal.
Old Hitler is the Harbor Master
Probably couldn't tell the exact species until it got closer though. Just knew that it was a shark at first.
“Yep. That’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”
- Gabe
haha Gabe's handsome and will stay that way. Hammerheads have only attacked humans unprovoked in recorded statistics since 1580 16 times.
A lot of these animals can just be curious and you should come inside but if someone can't get to a boat it seems if you don't strike first that they won't bite. The fact that they have a hand signal is adorable b/c my friends would've pushed me in the water lol
How terrifying 😮😮😢!!
😂😂😂😂
😂
One reason why you won’t catch me out in middle of ocean unless I’m on cruise ship 😂
After what happened with the Titanic, I will pass o the cruise too friend!😂
NOT EVEN ON A CRUISE SHIP JUST STAY OUT OF THE WATER
It could sink at night and the sharks would pick you off one by one

@@FrankskinOrweed-ep4ij your prejudice is based on fiction, things like the movie Jaws. They aren't like that in real life.
