Uhhhhh...Norm....that's a ridiculous looking, crystal clean vintage piece of history!!! Thank you for sharing this amazing instrument and allowing Lemmo to run it thru it's tonal paces. Shout out to the fabulous Jen and her video artistry as always! It's beyond a treasure to behold.
I totally agree!
Lemmo, shining thru with 3 beautiful tunes, 2nd was Clapton & Layla, 3rd was Manic Depression by Hendrix 1 st was something beautiful by him I would guess. Probably the cleanest 66 Strat in the world, oh & it doesn't sound all that bad either.
Holy cow that IS terrifyingly clean !! Clown burst ! Fantastic job Lemmo !! Thank you Norm and Jen !!
Sometimes I forget how really good this guy is
Making me feel very old. I played my first Fender about a year before this one came out... Beautiful Strat!!!
Norm is really purging some legendary guitars of late. Hope everything is ok.
It’s just the time to sell, market is at an all time high. Ridiculously high actually.
I mean he’s got a store. Guitars (or anything in general) aren’t worth a damn thing until you sell them.
I have been wondering as well how healthy Norm is, is he well, does he have massive medical bills to pay??? I want Norm here for years to come and this behaviour scares me!!!
Time to sell for sure, though he is getting up there. Hope all is good too!
Wow that’s a beauty!!!
Really hard for me to say, but this may be top 5 favorite guitars to be featured on the channel. Incredible
Such a cool piece of history. Love what you guys are doing over there!
Man that’s a beautiful guitar. Same finish as my Kramer Strat. Doesn’t get more classic.
Your playing inspires me to go grab my strat! Love these Straturday videos. Keep on playing
Lemmo just takes every guitar he plays to its potential.
Squeaky clean..so clean I wouldn't want to touch it yikes..Leo had it right make it simple and people will follow after all these years..one lucky person is going home with such a gem.!!!!!
Whats the first song he play ?
"We've had a great run"... laughing out loud here...😂
That sounds SO GOOD!!
Great-sounding guitar, and awesome playing by Michael.
Michael! Dont piss off norman. He might send you walking. Norman. Dont piss off Michael. He just might walk and take his fan base with him. Joking aside. What a beautiful relationship. You both bless us with every video of musical mastery, and vintage, and glorious guitars. Norman is is national treasure. Michael is a gem.
Kurtiss. (Citizen Joe)
Beautiful! Guitar and playing, both are beautiful.
Thanks for sharing this!
Hey so umm. I'm gonna comment this on each one of these videos that do it.
Stop putting "rare guitar" in all caps at the end of the video title.
Its boomer shit and cringe. You're Norman's Rare Guitars. It's implied. You don't need to go all 2011 click bait with your titles. They were fine as they were.
With all due respect...
1966 I'm from 1980 and I'm not that fresh looking amazing Strat
Lovely guitar, but Michael is the real deal. I don't know he manages to find and learn all the new material he plays every week - that is no small effort. Thanks Michael. Nice vid Jen!
Hello. We are an art studio "Moon cat". We are from Ukraine. Our studio needs a guitar. If you or your friends have an old guitar that you do not need, we will be grateful if you give us such a guitar. Sincerely, Art-studio "Moon cat".
Big time Producer guitar player.. My Hero Daniel Lanois???
Now that is like a time travel Strat…just like it came from Leo’s shop…brand spanking new looking…Just WOW! Great playing snd getting that 60’s vibe!
Would be CBS Fender by then, Leo only did consulting for them after sale.
It's crazy to think that neither Layla nor Manic Depression were released yet in 1966 when that guitar was made.
I was born in ‘66, I haven’t aged quite as well as that strat though, my dream guitar right there!😊
Surprised Joe B. didn't run through the frame in a blur and grab it out of Lemmo's hand.
Jimi Hendrix favorite year 1966 Fender stratocaster
😀
Fiesta like, I love Your guitars Norman, Andrés from Argentina
my 74 blonde has flat poles and sounds bright / loud ?
40k guitar in that condition! sounds very good also
Manic Depression ,,, Internal Combustion ,,,
'66-'69 Strats are the Best!!!💖💖💖
Knob letters and numbers are green because the "gold" paint was bronze-based, so it turns. This is not unusual.
Thank you, was wondering why the green lettering!
Looks like Lemmo scraped the pickguard with his ring ✌️😂
the Layla outro is beautiful!
Great Playing Michael like always and Norm You are a great person.
Beautiful strat... love it so really much.. classic
Another beautiful birthyear guitar.
Very Cool, Thankyou. 1966 is my Birth Year ....... I need this guitar, hahaha. Stunning looking and sounding Guitar and playing. Cheers
Beautifully played, Michael 👍🏻
Which is the song, with which Michael starts on the metal pick up?
I think it’s manic depression by Hendrix
Why aren't your amps listed on your web site? I'm looking for a Marshall JCM 900 half stack. My MG 250 DFX just died on me. Very beautiful Stratocaster! Very nice, Michael!
Same year I was born! ✌️
Norm keeps selling some of his vintage gems, but if you've seen his book with his collection, it's an endless source that would take lifetimes to sell one at a time.
Remember, he is also constantly letting us know that he's buying.
Where's Jack? Was he nimble and quick and left the joint, burning on the headstock of the Gibson Lloyd Loar?
What's happening to the Norm film?
Stay cool Norm, Michael, and Jen.
We love you
I like CBS Big headstock ( i'm fan of Ritchie Blackmore, Hendrix, Uli Jon Roth Scorpions era,Robin Trower) people hate this models due to the Quality but today You can upgrade everything.
Beautiful 🤘🤘
No hang tags. Forget it.
My god that headstock ❤
Wow! And here I thought I had found the best mint guitar deal on a super clean/hardly used 2005 Squier 51 a few days ago, which does NOT look 18 years old BUT um I think you beat me Norm! lol That 66 strat looks like it could have rolled out of the Fender Factory yesterday! Incredible! That sunburst paint job is beautiful!
Awesome playing and fantastic Looping.WWhat Looper pedal are you using Michael?
Well, "Manic Depression" sounded epic. And, for example, "Leyla" is so-so. Apparently historical guitars are not suitable for all music.)
Yep, freaking time machine.
Now that 66 sounds all there alive , with rich chimney spank
That's my favorite color in a stratocaster, I bet that thing plays and sounds great. I was 6 when it was made.
I have a picture of me playing my dad's strat in about 1967, but I'm not sure what model it was.
Wow, that percussive snap on the bridge pickup!
I see Lemmo, I click
That is some fine soulful playing. Great looking guitar. Thank you. 🎸😎✌️
TONE!
Great use of a looper 🎸🎸👏👏 Can’t place the first tune Lemmo played 🤔
Lemmo can make anything sound good, but I'm not Lemmo so I am very skeptical of vintage guitars that have never been touched
First a broadcaster now this? Market must be hot plus we all know he’s got some real gems in that warehouse
Norm u r awesome but Mike L. is careful lol sometimes what's another dent 😎
THATS A REAL BEAUT
& wow Michael love your choices today. I think you like that guitar a little too much?
Gentlemen plays so well.
Love that first song (before Layla) being played - was that a cover?
It's great that all these warehouse guitars are coming out, but it makes me worry about Norm.
lemo clapton hendrix...oh and my shirt size is large
1.2 mil
Nicely Done.
That guitar is unreal. It’s the perfect color imo.
Bone Stock. Dead Mint. The last of the great ones.
Beatiful Sound and playing 😊❤❤❤
♥
Beautiful Guitar! You all do a fantastic job!
What overdrive pedal is he using?
❤
In my age but way better condition.
The right day to wear a long sweat shirt.
Now that is incredible.
It is clean and good tone guitar.
An absolute stunner. So shiny!
Cali estate tax and cancer
Ouch
Fantastic guitar and playing
Awesome playing.
Stratocaster my favorite
i love your playing
What is this master peice worth?
Wow! Beautiful
Stoopid clean
You BREAK it you BUY it!
The world changes with social media and the internet... is there a solo guitarist that reaches more people every week? Thank you Michael and Jen for all the effort!
Good job Lem
😱 Wow
WOW
WOW!
6:47 anyone knows the song?
It's the outro of Layla.
