You know, I can actually see this on with the Shoestring budget of the Second Doctor era show. It wouldn't be the CGI monster that Eleven faced, obviously. I just see a single light being focused on behind or over a blackout curtain or some such. And as the big climax of the speech is hitting it starts fading more and more to show the 'death' of the thing eating the Doctor's memories.
While the loss of his people is something Two wouldn't know about, the line about universes devised by the minds of madmen works nicely with The Mind Robber :) Still, spot on for Troughton.
The Sixth Doctor Yeah it doesn't all suit - but I thought, if I sway too much, it won't quite match the brilliance of the original. So it's merely the best I could do :) Glad you like it though :)
I mean, he exposed two Dalek conspiracies, one that went across time and to Skaro. He fought Cybermen on the Moon, in a Space Station, in London, and on a Cyberman necropolis. He overthrew Orwellian Macra, and uncovered a Shapeshifter conspiracy. He fought off toxic seaweed monsters, Ice Warriors, Atlanteans, and Quarks. He's nearly sacrificed himself to outwit the Great Intelligence and the Mind Robber. And he stopped a dictator who looked like him without resorting to violence. He formed a tight and lasting bond with a Scottish warrior, only for his own people to separate them after he stopped the Renegade War Timelord.
Very nicely done. I also think it was a strong choice to leave out the "baby" (as in, "Take it all, baby!"). It's a very Matt Smith thing to say, but doesn't sound like Patrick Troughton at all. Good job!
This was uncannily fantastic Chris, you've embodied the spirit of the 2nd Doctor's gravitas perfectly. Dr Who has been part of my life since watching the very first episode. In the days before VCR's there was never any guarantee an episode would ever be repeated, and I would refuse to go on seaside holidays until I was assured there would be a TV there. I know I have never missed a single live episode, I just wish I had more than just vague memories of those lost episodes, but those iconic voices of the various Doctors rekindle those butterflies in the stomach I got every Saturday teatime. Thank you for sharing your skills, and presenting these wonderful alternative takes.
I can't yet think of a single great speech by any doctor that wouldn't have worked just as well if said by another Doctor. That being said, each of the doctor's speeches is written to be best performed by that doctor.
Oh my God, I was laughing at the end there. It made it sound like The Doctor suddenly stopped being angry at the parasite and decided to be polite to it😂🤣
Honestly if the second doctor wasn’t forced to change. I could see this possible. I’ve started who from the beginning. I chose to go to the beginning. And so far I could imagine him doing this
Absolutely genius again. I love your Patrick Troughton. I loved your explanation of why you do it as well. I've tried to take a similar approach with Tom Baker. Keep up the outstanding work!
The bit where the Eleventh Doctor is going "Legs! I've still got legs…" I know it doesn't really fit the Second Doctor but I just would like to hear what it would be like if it was the Second Doctor was saying it
Absolutely brilliant and wonderful. Spot on impression as always. On another note, I don't suppose you'd consider uploading an alternate version with 'The Long Song' playing as it does in the original scene?
4th intro of Davros, and trying to kill the daleks before they start. The first adult time lady. Actual proof you can control regeneration, and the black and white guardian, the key to time. I'd love you to try 4 s do I have the right speech, and I have ultimate power speech (from these 2 particular stories!) As to 3rd The brig and unit was introduced in 2nd, they just became more important in 3rd
First:Daleks Second:Cyberman Third:Unit Fourth:Davros Fifth:Master,Cybermans and etc Sixth:Valeyward Seventh:Fenric and Master Eighth:Master and Time War War:Time War and Daleks Ninth:Time War,Daleks and Empty Child Tenth:Master,Daleks,Cybermans,Gallifrey,Odds and Time Lords Eleventh:Daleks,Cybermans,Weeping Angels,Zygons,Silence and Dream Lord Twelfth:Daleks,Cybermans,Missy(Master),Zygons and Gallifrey Thirteenth:Master,Cybermans and Gallifrey
we know this is the SECOND doctor, only about 450 years old, very innocent compared to the later ones, doesnt mean he didnt get himself into trouble though, because he did! And it's " He WAS" no where near the time war, and no he wasnt that was at least 400 years in the future
Patrick Troughton would be very happy to see people still appreciate him.

I always thought that line was referring to the world Omega made in 'The Three Doctors.' An episode which Two was very much present for.
Benjamin Smith same
@@CalypsoRaven618 it was!
It also works for the Celestial Toymaker.
With so many of Troughtons episodes lost I like to imagine he had many wondrous adventures. It leaves the imagination open :)

im so glad you removed the music. it makes it feel more like the classics i with the ambience
JamesPlaysGames95 Yeah, I thought... it doesn't work. And people said it didn't work for the Pandorica speech, so I tried without :)
get big finish on the phone! because we found Patrick Troughton resurrected voice
we have found our second doctor! Your match for his voice is remarkable. Well done, very well done

Quite fitting for a Doctor fighting the Great Intelligence.

Big finish need to get in touch with you. Your impression is amazing. :D
Haha cheers! At the rate I keep hearing that, I practically have a petition forming :P
agreed!
@@ChrisWalkerThomson I'll sign. They do have a good voice actor, but hes not you!
that was brilliant, well done. You dont quite have Matts heartbroken fury, but that belonged to him, but that was VERY worthy!!!
You're doing Patrick Troughton proud. :)
Patrick Troughton/The Second Doctor is my favourite Doctor. Your performances are uncannily good. Well done! Excellent stuff!
This just adds to the many ways I see Matt's doctor being very similar to Patrick's
Whenever you get the chance Chris... you should make the Second Doctor do the Sixth Doctor speech at the end of Trial of a Time Lord.
PatrickCervantez That's not a bad idea! I'll note that down.
Honestly if the second doctor wasn’t forced to change. I could see this possible. I’ve started who from the beginning. I chose to go to the beginning. And so far I could imagine him doing this
Beautifully done!
Gwylock1 Thank you :)
This is absolutely fantastic work! what a piece of talent, i was mesmerised by this!
You're really good at adapting your performance based on emotion in the exact same way Troughton would've
This is outstanding, exactly like Troughton, I bet he'd love this.
Absolutely genius again. I love your Patrick Troughton. I loved your explanation of why you do it as well. I've tried to take a similar approach with Tom Baker. Keep up the outstanding work!
Doctor Who Thank you :) Oooh, do link me to it - I'd love to hear it!
but tom baker still lives, I would LOVE to see if you can mimic his voice!
Wow i wish he was still around to this scene R.I.P Patrick also great video
Everything is better with Patrick Troughton
Did this speech as an experiment during camera training at uni on Monday - great impression man :)
it's extraordinary. utterly uncanny. Someone tell Nick Briggs!
oh my!!!! this speech suits the 2nd Doctor so much! love it !
I would love to see you do a take of Colin Baker's Trail of a timelord speech with Pat's voice !!!
"The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste" - Ministry.
Nailed it.
Siobhan Gallichan Cheers! :)
Well done. Well done, indeed. I felt like I had been transported back to 1969.
Great as always Chris! If you have time could you do the Second Doctor saying the Eleventh Doctor's part from the End of Time.
Braveb1rdPokeMC Thanks! What bit sorry?
The bit where the Eleventh Doctor is going "Legs! I've still got legs…" I know it doesn't really fit the Second Doctor but I just would like to hear what it would be like if it was the Second Doctor was saying it
Definitely awesome, although I think you should have played the music with it, as it made half of the speech itself :)
Absolutely brilliant and wonderful. Spot on impression as always.
On another note, I don't suppose you'd consider uploading an alternate version with 'The Long Song' playing as it does in the original scene?
ahunter8056 I tried that, but the timing wouldn't work. But I'm glad you liked it :)
This is amazing
How did u do that
Spot on!
WOW! AMAZING!
love it ,,thank you
kiltedjohn1000 Not a problem :) glad you liked it!
10/10 awsome
Really good impression! The only problem is that the speech doesn't really fit to the Second Doctor in terms of content.
no the second doctor was way too young, he doesnt have the memories yet
