Holy smokes the Troughton voice sounded just like him. The Hartnell was very close and very good too
Thanks - It was very early days for my Hartnell - I've improved since this :)
@@Bibblethruster Would love to see more recent work of yours 🙂
Not many women can successfully pull off doing blokes - one of the reasons why shows featuring impressionists usually pair men and women together, so they can do male and female people!
I thought at first that it was the real people - an achievement since two of the people featured are dead!
Am I the only one who forgets this is not the real actors
Christopher and Siobhan are brilliant at recreating the two original, and MARVELLOUS, Second and First Doctor(s) - Bravo! LOVE this ;D
Quite easily, and it's a testament to the actors how quickly you get behind the characterisations.
You would think this is a missing episode.
Thats very kind, thank you xxx
The Doctor nope
Good idea for the 5th anniversary of Doctor Who.
I like how this is filmed like a lost episode with only telesnaps
Even got in a Harnellesque fluff on the "Thank you for enlightening this old man." line. Sublime!
Oops! "Hartnellesque", not Harnellesque". I meant to do that!
And there's also a slight harshness in the Hartnell voice that other impersonators tend to miss.
I have hardly ever in my life heard an impersonation that was so identical to the original voice. I am astonished. And grateful.
This contains a stunning impersonation of patrick Troughton; the best I've ever heard by light years. Big Finish would be very-well-advised to snap the voice-artist up at once, and produce some truly authentic second Doctor stories.
The thing is Patrick Troughton still has a living family and with image rights etc they may not be keen on the idea of someone impersonating a much loved family member who actually made this role not only his own but a role for Doctors to come.If they gave their permission Then I'm sure this is the approach they would take either that or get an substitute like David Bradley. He got the part from the Amazing Job he did playing William Hartnell in Mark Gatiss's amazing TV play. In that play I think the actor was Reece Shearsmith Who played Patrick Troughton I think that both the BBC and Big Finish would look at him first before anyone else and keep it "in House" so to speak. But I agree Brilliant impersonation of the 2nd Doctor
@@andrewtate4897 They're already doing stories with Frazer Hines as the 2nd Doctor
Herohammer Studios and Peter Purves as the 1st Doctor
That's weird, I thought Patrick Troughton was dead.
It's called sarcasm.
Patrick Troughton Regenerated into Christopher Thomson.
too soon mate
too soon
TheSkully343 I so wish that happened.
PeterDaGreat _ (read in a Colin Baker voice) Too soon?? Too soon???? He died 30 years ago!
"We could drift throughout timezones quite aimlessly"
"Isn't that what we do anyway?"
Gold! :D :D
I didn't read the description and totally bought it as one of those lost episodes with only audio remaining :D. At one point I thought "Jaimie and the Doctor sound a bit alike, if it wasn't for the accents it would be difficult to distinguish" but didn't think much of it :D
"We could drift throughout timezones quite aimlessly" was said exact time I read it in your comment"
@@carlesq2341 same thing happened to me...
First Doctor: That's not the face I would've chosen
Second Doctor: 😡
Lol XD
My favorite line, "Isn't that what we do anyway?"
Yup
Seriously Christopher, your Patrick Troughton as Doctor 2 makes me cry with joy. He is my favorite classic Doctor, and it's like he's come back to life. You are brilliant. Bless you! I look forward to discovering your other work as well. Well done and good luck! Cheers!
+samxart Aww this comment has made my day. Thank you so much :) Really glad you enjoyed it :) More to come.
WOW Christopher I do my own one
I have to say, Hartnell's fluffed line was a nice touch. Great job :)
This is actually eerie. I mean, it's so perfect... as if it was actually them AND recorded in 1960's! :)
Heh.
Honestly. If I didn't know better. I'd have assumed this was a "Lost episode" or something. The impersonations are done so well they never take me out of the scene. If Classic Who did the "Minisode" thing back in the day....I'd have assumed this was them.
Siobhan Gallichan is quite impressive as the first Doctor as well, right down to the malapropisms:
"If I was to duce anything"
"Thank you for enlightened -- uh, enlightening this old man."
Thank you... this was early days for me - and Chris won't let me revoice it, lol
@@Bibblethruster it actually fits so much better, as it is, than if you redid it, sans goofs, as Hartnell was so well-known for them! 😊
I really like that this is presented as a telesnap reconstruction. Brilliant choice and a great nod to all those lost episodes with Billy and Pat. Great work!
That's exactly how they would act, Jamie & 2nd Dr. quibbling about the Tardis alarm.
This is a great homage to the two Doctors who started it all. 👏🏻
That was incredible!! I sometimes forgot these weren't the real voices. The Troughton one especially was the best impression I have heard!! And the Hartnell! Wow! Not a lot can get that impression right - and to have a female voice actor do it justice gives you extra kudos!! Well done all!
This was lovely! I could really imagine the two of them bantering like that.
I loved the way you used the stills to perfectly reflect the tone of the conversation. Down to troughtons face and pursed lips at 3:59 “it’s not the face I would have chosen.”
Very well done indeed!
This is quite remarkable! (and that's from an old-timer who saw the first episode.) Congratulations on creating something jaw dropping.
Absolutely fantastic!!! I really truly felt like I was watching the 2nd Doctor and Jamie meet the 1st Doctor!!! Splendid, fantastic, wonderful voices and story!!!!! I'm amazed at how much you sound like them!!!
Thank you :)
"Not the face I would have chosen."
Except you did kinda suggest it mate.
"There's only one man in England who could replace me"
Once again you treat us with an outstanding performance. You should contact Big Finish and do some for them xx
John Hutch Thanks John. Actually I have been in touch, but they are happy with Frazer Hines for now. As for any other role, no idea. They have my email. So one day I hope to cross that off the bucket list :) x
Well you keep doing what you do and you'll get there buddy. You rock
+Christopher Thomson I wish they'd use you instead you sound just like Patrick, unlike Frazer.
+PJ Lincoln I'd love the opportunity, but alas I don't think they'll drop him. Which I completely understand, but it's their call at the end of the day, so can't really say more about that :) But thank you for the consideration :)
Christopher Thomson Chris can me and my friend borrow your audio from this we are planning to remake on Gmod? + credit will also be giving (:)
Amazing how much the actors sounded like the original cast! If I didn't know better, I would have been fooled entirely.
That was pretty well done. Basically a remake of Time Crash, but does not diminish how well you had the characterizations of the two Doctors down. Good work. :)
Ha, now this was pretty cool. The Second Doctor getting to interact with his previous self without having to bicker with Third was fun to see. Someone further down mentioned that First seemed a little too cheerful at times, but I think it works. He usually did get pretty excited when something 'new' happened around him. This is the man who sabotaged his own TARDIS so he could explore a city after all. (Something I don't think any of the later Doctors would even consider).
Really liked the Jamie impression as well, and after also hearing your 'Red Snow' thing, I'd be eager to hear any other audio adventures you take part in!
That isn’t an “impersonation” of Patrick Troughton... that *is* Patrick Troughton... wonderful stuff! Siobhan’s impression is brilliant too... impressive little inflections; right down to a “fluff” towards the end!
Absolutely amazing. You guys are blowing the BBC and Big Finish completely out of the water with those impressions
I stubled on this and it's like I am seeing new content from my favorite doctor. This Troughton impression was SPOT ON I loved it!
It's almost like Patrick himself... Amazing.
Superb work, I wish Big Finish would sign you up - I'd love to hear my favourite Doctor in some new adventures, particularly if they can get someone to recreate the Brigadier accurately.
Incidentally, I love the authentic William Hartnell style slip up at 6.58, very sly little tribute there!
Simply brilliant my good chap. You really captured the essence of Patrick Troughton/Frazer Hines voice impressions. Even William Hartnell's voice was good. So uncanny how the video looks like a new classic Doctor Who. Any chance you working with Big Finish & Steven Moffat and the BBC on a project?
I really, really wish I was :)
Carlisle Miller Official Minis odes you might say, hmm.. hmm... :-)
It really sounds like William Patrick and Frazer.
If I didn't know better I'd think that was Troughton
I consider it to be canon because I absolutely love it. The voice impressions are spot on. When I watch Classic Doctor Who, I watch this in between "The Ice Warriors" and "The Enemy of the World" because at the end, the Doctor says that they deserve a little holiday, and "The Enemy of The World" opens with them landing at a beach. So there ya go
Why on Earth hasn't Big Finish signed you up yet?
I feel a temporal shi ft coming on.
Uncannily good.
This was amazing. If I didn't know better, I'd be convinced I was watching a reconstruction of an actual missing minisode. Well done, good sir.
Wow!!! Not only your voices but the whole pace and feel. WELL DONE. (I'm a 57 year old fan from the old days and i am very very impressed) THANK YOU.
A superb visual recreation of the sadly lost special mini episode, done for charity in 1968. Thankfully, fans recorded the audio off their tv sets, so we can still hear how it went :)
This is an utterly brilliant impression of Patrick Troughton. Absolutely unbelievable!
That was really lovely, Chris. You and Siobhan did a marvelous job. Glad to see you're back at it.
That was great, I had a smile all the way through it. Very well done to you and it would have made a great episode.
Great Jumping Gobstoppers!
Thank you for this utterly delightful and wonderful segment. And so authentic!
This is so wonderful. You did a fantastic job, I love it. You totally made my night 😄
This was incredible!! Thank you for this!!
Brilliant fan made episode thanks for both making and sharing :)
This was amazing. Fantastic mini-episode! This is officially part of my DW personal continuity - a must watch for now on!
Oh my giddy aunt! This is fantastic! Troughton's era was one of my favorites on the show. I've been practicing my impression of him, and so far the only word I can say with ease and accuracy is "Jamie" :)
I think I'll tweet this to Frazer Hines :)
Brilliant work. Thank you for this.
I really enjoyed that! All three impersonations were spot on. I would love to see more mini episodes like this.
Really well made. Enjoyed very much. Thank you.
I forgot these were impressionists for a minute, absolutely awesome!
This is absolutely brilliant! You two have got the 'Doctors' down to a fine art. Well done...Doctors and Jamie.
this is canon for me good job
That is the best Troughton I've ever heard bravo I'm sure he would have found it flattering!
And sorry our Heartnell is very good in all.
Your Troughton is spot on. Well done with the project! Absolutely excellent! :D
This is sensational! And I LOVE the deliberately stuffed up Hartnell line at 6.58 for authenticity, not many would think to include a detail like that. Big Finish should hire you guys to do early Doctor stories. Bravo!!!
Fantastic work, great performances, paticularly love your Patrick Troughton impression, it's brilliant! :)
Awesome work! To you Christopher and Siobhan both! :D
Pure joy! Superb voice work as always Chris and Siobhan.
Sorry for not discovering this sooner.......... I'd not thought that the first Doctor would not know what it was like to Regenerate. A mystery the other would never have to face. Thank you. Brilliant work. There is real mileage in a pod/video cast bringing fan adventures to the wider Who fans. Anyone interested, let me know.
this is truly stunning and brilliant.
Too many great aspects of this to comment on. Such excellent work!
Great work! It's like watching a brand new classic who episode! :D
Oh, this is really good! Glad I found your channel! Will be checking to see what else you have, for sure. 😁
Great to see you back on RUclips! I know you haven't been having the best of times but you're going to be better soon!
Nicely done, gentlemen! It felt like a lost episode in all of the good ways. Here's hoping for more content from fellow Whovians of such caliber.
This was awesome! Well done!
This is the cutest thing ever their interactions got me kicking my feet n shit
Very good minisode! :) I will say, I wasn't too sure at first... Fan-made productions can be iffy in quality, however, I can see that you truly have a love for Doctor Who and it shows all over the place here. Your impressions were spot-on perfect and I now truly feel as if a whole new chapter has been properly added to the '60s era.
Thanks again for a job well done! :D
Amazing effort. Thanks for sharing with us.

Well, I guess The Doctor now knows how ignorant he can be. He literally refused to listen to Jamie just mere minutes ago, and now, he's refusing to listen to himself!
Congratulations Chris a wonderful way of keeping the older incarnations alive. and some very innovative stories too
Can I just say this is brilliant :) you've captured both Doctor's tremendously - very well done indeed !!
+gingerladyaubern thank you :)
This is the most fantastic and accurate Patrick Troughton impression I have ever heard! You should be working for Big Finish!
You two ought to do more. This is brilliant!
Gorgeous work!!! In love with your Troughton! Hope I can learn it one day!
Fantastic work, excellent voices. Well done.
These are really good impressions.
Very well done guys! You absolutely nailed Jamie and the 2nd Doctor.
Fantastic vocal impressions. Excellent.
This is amazing! Really impressive!
The second Doctor meets the First Doctor
You fooled me for a while. Great impressions of the First and Second Doctors. Well done for your efforts
Thank you so much xxx
This was brilliant well done chris :)
Ha ha - you got the nuances in Troughton's voice extremely well. Loved it - the Billy Fluffs were good too, lol
I always love when you do a new video with the Second. The voice likeness is spot on
Oh my gosh, this is awesome!! The voices are spot on. 😃😃😃
Brilliant as always, I still hold to my thought that Big finish should hire you~
Imagine if this was actually the very first time The Doctor met himself
I am very impressed by this, especially the impersonation of Hartnell's stutter.
That was great! Well done!
Are you seriously telling me that's not Troughton or Hartnell?? These impersonations are spot on.
Incredible! I honestly thought at first this was some recovered audio clips of Troughton, Hartnell and Hines themselves!
This is absolutely amazing! Patrick Troughton and William Hartnell themselves would be impressed. Good job with this, it's very good. :)
Pure magic! I thought you'd sourced the voices from archive material but then realised you couldn't have. A beautiful tribute as well as a truly original piece of work.
This is just brilliant, i would pitch this and your impression of troughton to big Finnish productions, you bring him back to life.
Now I'm a performer myself and have been stuck in the Whoinverse since its revival back in 2005 and I have to say, this is truly remarkable.
Well done for all of the effort.
You should make more of these indeed, hmm?
This is simply brilliant - well done :) Oh yes....and 'Thank You'
Pure genius! Thank you!!!
