It's like all those horror movies have come to life!
I was back country camping in the Shenandoah Mountains National Park (Virginia) in the early 80's with my brother. Early in the morning I heard something walking in the woods not far away and was cracking some really big branches as you can tell by the loud cracks it made. My brother in the other tent, heard the same thing. Whatever it was, was walking closer and closer to my tent, where eventually it was right outside my tent making these grunting and growling noises. I told my brother it was right outside my tent, not but a couple feet from my face where I was sitting. Then, James suddenly yelled out...."I have a gun and I will shoot you!!" Just then, whatever it was started backing up away from me thank God. As we compared notes later, we both thought it odd that it seemed that it was walking on two feet, as we knew the sounds of wildlife when they walk through the woods and it wasn't a bear or a dear, etc. To this day, we will never know. But whatever it was responded to my brothers hi pitched voice and then walked away, or it understood English. Who knows. To this day, I don't think I would be here telling this story, if my brother hadn't been with me. I haven't back country camped since that day. Listen to this man's intelligent advice. A lot of people disappear in National Forests and National Parks who are on their own or get separated from their friends
That experience would change a persons mind to hike or camp alone, still why do people do it then their gone with out a trace, thank god for your brother, I'd never ever SLP in a tent,no protection there from any animals omy
Great that you put photos of people first and then photos of park's name. And great you made the breaks between cases longer. 👏 Your reading is good, incl its speed (tempo) I would recommend to work on the melody, the first half sounds sometimes kind of robotic. Then you became more natural in reading. That is my impression. :) I like your videos and wish you the best.
Thanks again, Rusty! I love these compilations. I have a suggestion, can you do a compilation of college town cases? Look into "Missing 411-A sobering coincidence" for cases.
You can’t go out into that vastness ..someone ,or something is waiting for you to just dare do it…but don’t do it. It will get you, n you only…cos all that matters out there is you at the time. Thanks rusty ..will never get tired of that music..it evokes the sadness of all thoses poor souls that didn’t stand a chance. If it is a person that’s doing it ..then they will be judged by a realm far higher n greater then them..and it will hurt when he catches up with them..God sees everything.
I live in the city below Mount Baldy. The weather here for the past six weeks has been crazy winds, unpredictable rain, and cold overnight. We went to Baldy Village (almost 4,200 feet) in November: There were patches of snow and it was cool and dry, the kind of day where one might forget to stay hydrated or not have adequate gear for the late afternoon temperature drops. As I have gotten older, staying warm is more of a challenge.
The problem with taking this line of thinking is - you could become the next missing person. The choice is yours. We all have to reconsider things we like to do. Especially as we get older. I liked to mountaineer in my 20’s & 30’s. Gave it up after a trip to Snowdonia in North Wales when bad weather came in very suddenly & rapidly. I may well have been a statistic from that, & that was 25 years ago. Use your common sense.

It's like all those horror movies have come to life!
I used to love to go camping. After an experience I had back in 95 I quit going.
@@bicentensol Spill the Tea! 🤠
What did you experience back in 95 ?
Thank you for recent missing cases ,old ones were getting old,but still amazed how they are all still not found with out a trace or clues
Who's searching for them?
👏 Your reading is good, incl
its speed (tempo)
I would recommend to work on the melody, the first half sounds sometimes kind of robotic. Then you became more natural in reading. That is my impression. :) I like your videos and wish you the best.
Thanks again, Rusty! I love these compilations. I have a suggestion, can you do a compilation of college town cases? Look into "Missing 411-A sobering coincidence" for cases.
Hello folks ! It's Rusty West time !

Hey Rusty!
I love this channel. Keep it up Rusty
Thanks so much for this upload absolutely love these
Great video. Thank you for getting the names of the missing out there so they’re not forgotten.
Ive been listening almost all missing persons episodes from Rusty. Its utterly strange. And that those cases remains unsolved for years.
Wow, Julian Sands? That is a shocker.
Easy to say don.t hike alone, but... sometimes, only option you have to do the things you love.
Exactly! One person wrote to go in groups. How many people know agroup of people available to hike at any given time.
It’s interesting that most of the missing featured have photos of them hiking
Ah! Good point!
Heyyy Rusty thanks for sharing 💞
Thanks Rusty! your the best!
Thanks Rusty.💯
Hello Folks! Thank you Rusty! 💕
Two words that absolutely 💯 DO NOT go together: solo hike.
Prayers for these individuals and their loved ones
Ohh man! I hope Julian will be okay. This and the rest are just unbelievable.

These stories are just so sad. Thank you to all the ppl and sweet dogs that search and rescue. Thank you all
Great video, Rusty. Thank You!
Thank you!
❤️
Hey Rusty, I just wanted to say keep up the great work & also Mt. Hood is in Oregon... To all, never hike alone & take plenty of food, water and personnel protection(sidearm). You never know whom or what you will run into in the wilderness... BE SAFE!!!
Feb 10, 2011 Rick Gentry was found 200 yards away from belongings found , volunteers training a cadaver dog found him under 2 foot of snow
I lived in Barstow for 3 yrs. Victorville is not far. I would not go out in that desert for any reason.
That desert out near Barstow/Victorville is too disorienting. Every time I go out there, or to Joshua Tree, I am reminded of how easy it would be to go off trail and get hopelessly lost.
Thanks Rusty your the best
Thank you Rusty
