K, you have a large variety of colored pencils and cases, it's quite beautiful. I love watching videos of what other people have in their colored pencil collection; what their opinions and thoughts are on each brand. I think we all must put together a travel bag for that last minute out the door moment. For my travel case, I took a variety of small Derwent sets (6-24); Chromaflow, Artists, Drawing, Metallic, Inktense and Charcoal. Then I added a set of 6 Staedtler Lumograph pencils for sketching, a sharpener and eraser.
Pencils are so much fun. I love pencils more than any other supply I think. You have a great collection. I have recently tried to sort my tiny home office/colouring room out. I've managed to some extent, but it's so small. I love having pencils in cases, but I need 1 more full shelf of space for them and I don't have that so quite a few have to live in tins, which can be stacked. What I really need is to knock the fireplace out (which is useless anyway and can't be used) and have a carpenter come and fill the inside of the inglenook with shelves built to fit the shape. But that's a big job as the whole room needs a new floor and re-plastering and new lights! That's how it goes in really old houses. Thank you for the fun pencil walk-through. Have a lovely weekend.
Hi Sue, that’s true about old houses, mine is quite old too and if we knocked part of the fireplace out there may be more room but too much of a big job and I’m already taking up half the living room space. I always love watching to see what people have. I have the Bruyenzeel Expression pencils and LOVE them but really want to try the Design series. I need to put all of my pastel pencils into a single case now that I caved and got the Brutfuner Macaroon lol
How do you find the Macaron pencils? I didn’t enjoy using the Castle art pastel tints in the Mythographic book, but on other paper they are okay. I still prefer the pastel pencils in the Holbein range over the others but I do like the Pastelowe. Hope you’re doing well and having a good weekend 💕😊
@Colouring with K i also have the brutfuner macarons. I had make an account on Aliexpress to get them. They were around $17 USD. and took like 3 weeks to get to the US but I REALLY love them as there was no way I was going to be able to shell out for the holbein pastels for a good long while. I think they're great pencils for what they are. It almost makes me want to buy the 120 square set even though I don't need anymore pencils. Especially budget friendly experiments lol
Like you my favorite color in Polychromos is the Green Gold. I keep 3 extras and use them with other pencils. I also like Polys Black and buy extras! You have a lovely collection,TFS🥰

You have both the Marco Renoir and the Brunzeel Design pencils! Maybe you can answer a long-held suspicion concerning both these pencils. The number on the barrels, the font looks identical, & I did find a Chinese colour chart with names for the Marco Renoir which seems to correspond to the same numbered pencils of the Brunzeel set. I'd love to know how similar you find these pencils in a comparison. It was lovely to see your many sets of pencils, and how well used so many of them are. I have to admit to being somewhat envious that you have the Derwent Coloursoft Special Edition set which contains a Magenta, which I think is a major omission from the regular 72!
I will have a look at those 2 pencil brands and hope to let you know what I find out. I bought the special edition Derwent coloursoft set from the Derwent shop itself in Keswick (where they have their pencil museum too). It was many years ago. Hi there. Thanks for watching. The tritones are a smaller width / diameter and in my opinion are softer than the magic pencils, the colour shades are also different between the 2 as well. I prefer the tri-tones so far but then again I haven’t used the magic pencils that much, yet!

So many sets tempting to buy, Haha. I have 4 sets of Pencils - Prisma, Star Joy Golds, Brutfuner square, & Soucolor 180. No polys yet. What would you suggest next?

You can remove those numbers on the the cases with acetone
