Hi , I use 8lb braid with 10lb leader .... a slow roll with a few quick hopes and sometimes I do a few pauses which I find will react a strike , it is one of my favourite lures at the moment
Excellent video ! I have heard quite a bit about this lure from Greg Reid on Hi Tide radio - great to see them in action and they look like they produce the goods ! I know that lake Macquarie is a trophy flathead fishery , do you encounter tagged fish very often ?
hi Ian , to be honest I haven't ever come across an tagged fish in Lake Mac . Have had a heap of luck with this new lure (pro lure , clone prawn) I'm loving them , my next video I scored a PB bream using this lure . Certainly are producing quality size fish . Hi mate I use a slight bigger hws hook on the clone prawn 2/0 hook 1/28 oz .... and on the bream prawn I use a 1/0 hook 1/40 oz . Hope this helps and good luck . Thanks for your comments and I'm happy that you enjoyed the video 👍
I mix up the technique , sometimes I slow roll and pause , sometimes I do a few small twitch twitch pause twitch twitch pause , or a big single twitch then pause . I find that when I pause that's when I get a hit . Hook Size normal a hidden weight 1/0 or 2/0 , 1/28 weight .
