How good that for a quick morning session, 3 different species in quick succession, shows how well presented and life like lure gets the work done. I especially liked hearing the Sooty Grunters thought on the new Clone Prawn, he certainly wasn’t camera shy! Great stuff as always mate!
Feeling lucky! Got a pack of this ones yesterday and first time I am burying them. I will be flicking them around hamilton island. Thanks for your video and advice!
Great video as always John , the 62mm clone prawn was really popular with the black bream in WA ( as was the muss ). Keen to try that rigging as the majority of takes were off the bottom. Another top tip !! Cheers.
Thanks for all your help in learning about Jack fishing. I got your dvds, bought the kayak, without giving away your secret spots any tips on where to launch to get to these skinny creek and nail my first jack? Thanks mate 👍
Great video champion, the clone prawn has been my go to lure for the last 3 months, haven't had a donut session since using them, flathead , bream whiting, and even got a black fish on the 62 mm , have you tried the 120 mm clone prawn, I picked up a packet to chase large flathead, but haven't used them yet, love the videos champion, great work,
That’s great to hear Anthony. I haven’t tried the bigger ones yet but I’m sure they’ll do the trick exactly as you say. I’ll have to get myself a couple of packets and give it a try. Well done on the black fish by the way.
They look great, I got three packets but only used the small ones (60mm?) so far. The only thing I'm not keen on is the smell out of the packet - has a very chemical odour compared to other soft plastics. I'm sure it doesn't matter all that much but I just aired mine out for a while to try and get the odour dissipate a bit.
Best source of Australian fishing information on RUclips. Thanks Johnny👍
Wow, thanks Eion :) Stoked to hear you get plenty from em mate
Good video as always. When you changed the sinker, thought your Dentist must love you

Haha. Cheers mate ;) It was a heap

It’s amazing every time I get a new lure boom turn on RUclips and John has a new review on the lure for the fish I’m going to chase bravo mate
Hahaa. That’s good timing Tim :)
Appreciate your work Johnny. Legend!
Thank you mate ;) it’s my pleasure
Crack'a clip as always mate. One technique that is highly under rated this far south on jacks. Keep the footage coming mate 🙌🙌
Brilliant as always mate.

Love it Johnny, good stuff mate. Those gloves look good mate, what brand are they? Cheers!
How do you tie the ball sinker to make it sit like that mate?

Great videos John. Have you fished creeks in the Mackay region?
Not yet mate. My brother has just bought out at Marien. I can’t wait to make it up there for a go ;)
Another great video John. Are you left handed or have you just learnt to cast left handed over the years?
All I’m hearing are those cicadas.
Great work 👊🏼 is this filmed locally??
Great spot.
Hi mate awesome video what size hook you using on the clone prawn 👍
Hey mate. It’s a 5/0 EWG
Why the sinker over a snake lock and would they work similarly?
Was wondering the same thing interested to hear the reasoning !
