Days Gone - THE BELKNAP CAVES AMBUSH CAMP - The Best & Easiest Ways To Take Out This Camp.

- Hi folks, on my Ambush Camp series of videos, I focus all my attention on one particular Ambush Camp, and on this video, it's THE BELKNAP CAVES AMBUSH CAMP that gets my full attention. On every video, I will show an Optimal method (a method which I consider the best & done with resources only available at the time you likely take on this camp), a sniper rifle method & also a horde option should there be one nearby (and for this camp, THERE IS, and I combine the Optimal Method with the horde method with 1 run). These videos will become a valuable guide for anyone looking to make light work of any of the Ambush Camps in Days Gone, and of course, if you have better weapons than what I am using, the job will be made even easier. Every camp is taken out with the difficulty level of Survivor II, so this is as hard as it will be for anyone, so on easier difficulty settings, the job will be a far easier affair. I hope you all enjoy this video.

"they are a tenacious bunch" - what a way with words you have, mate. Completely non-judgmental of the horde! 😉
Lol. Yes, I was rather tame compared to what I normally call them.
Nicely done. Precision use of the horde. This ambush camp used to really freak me out, because of that horde. Then I found out how small their numbers are and I was, “aww what a cute little horde.” 😂😂
Lol, indeed mate. Only 30 strong, but still more than enough to take out an Ambush Camp.
It blows me away how good you are at this game. Im playing my first playthru on easy (i dont have time and just wanna relax lol) and the way you know how the enemies are perfectly laid out is wild
Got to admit, I spent a lot of time in each camp to get good knowledge on where they all are in the camp, and if they aren't alerted, they all have very specific routes that they always follow. Plays right into my hands, lol.
I tried a lot but stealth mode... Not at all..when I attacked this camp, i finished the hordd too.
Freakers were a big pain than marauders.
Nicely done Boris. You are the best
You are far too kind as always Singh. And you're right, the bloody horde is the biggest problem with this Ambush Camp, although the dipshits that decided to setup a camp below a horde, really need to ask some soul searching questions, lol.
Your optimal method is better than mine. I usually use a silenced weapon to snipe a couple of marauders from across the canyon so they loudly return fire and attract attention from the horde but they don't always come up in large numbers. This way is much better. 👍👍
Thank you Allan, you are too kind sir.
Every time I approached a camp I had stealth in mind , however it didn't go anywhere as well as your run. I must have stepped on every trap that was laid out resulting in me being chased by both the enemy and freakers as well lol. Unlike the freakers , I never realized that the enemy followed a fixed pattern at the camps. You must have spent many hours studying their patterns and plotting out the ideal route to get them while maintaining cover. This video was a great source of helpful tips as well as greatly entertaining , keep 'em coming ! 👍👍
The reason I always take out the Camps without alerting anyone (on this video, the Sniper rifle option only of course), is purely because all the marauders or rippers follow set movement patterns. Once the Camp is alerted, then it all goes to hell, so I try to make sure it never get's that way. You are right my friend, I've spent a lot of time learning their movements, but it's been worth it. As always FM, thank you for the kind words my friend.
Nicely done my friend! As always.. lol. I tell you, I started the survival 2 , and now my controller is acting fuckery!! I took it apart , all that and even took the springs out.. as suggested on Reddit.. it a little better, but I won't be getting gold standards on it .😅 I'm proper fucked til I grab another. But as always, thank you for the wonderful video ...my mentor ! 🙏
Sorry to hear about the controller Kahn. I've returned a couple over the last year because of issues, but with them still being under a year old, I was able to get replacements, so I was lucky. As always, thank you for watching my friend.
Im redoing this one now, in various ways. Always come to your vids to see how you do it.
My hoarde approach was to let them chase me and just simply run through the camp to the wooden bridge. Carnage ensues & but I can watch it. Messy but fun.
And as with all camps, I like to try to clear it only using residue bolts, choosing the best armed first to do it.
You will be pleased to hear that residue bolt options are shown later in the series, but I save them for the biggest camps. The ripper camps in Iron Butte especially are fun to do with residue, as you get one hell of a show from them, lol. Appreciate you watching my videos & thanks for the info.
@@borislav247 great to hear. That's what makes these missions replayable is the fact there are multiple ways to do every one.
But yeah, I think my favourite ripper ambush camp is wagon road
@@MrPlannery Lol, got to love the ripper camps. My favorite is the Bare Bay Ambush Camp, but mainly because it's the ambush camp that features on the Days Gone challenge mode.
Well played all around! I can’t tell you how many times when I was first playing this game that Deek walked into one of those damn bear traps screaming his bloody fool head off and alerting the horde or the campers lol. Same with those damn cans tied to sting. Walked through those many times and was like “oops. Dammit!” Then Deek got more sneaky after he figured out where all the traps were 😉 This is one of the ambush camps I actually find rather enjoyable, especially when luring in the horde to help “assist”. Again, I’m sick and twisted 😂 Another smashing walk through, and as always, looking forward to the next!
I can feel your pain , it was pretty much the same for me lol.
Thank you for your very kind words Violet. All the traps aside, this Camp is a very enjoyable one. Definitely the most trap infested one, that's for sure, lol. Thank you for watching Violet.
We want a new full playgame with Untouchable places 😊
It is coming mate. It's going to be an extreme playthrough, so I will be using every trick that I know to get through the playthrough, as I intend on still going after the hordes, even with poor weapons and virtually no explosives.
Excellent...Boris at his best!
Yes he is. Thanks, Boris. This is one of my fav camps.
@@macsprinter Thank you MS.
You are far too kind sir, thank you.
I remember this was my first marauder camp cleared.
Hitting every trap laid out, and unexpectedly attracting the horde was a fun memory.
Likewise my friend. First time I attacked this Ambush Camp, I was blissfully unaware that a horde was living below this camp. It was a very memorable encounter, lol.
Well it's happened again, put a message on, come back to see if you had replied and the message isnt there!! Don't know if it's my arthritic wizened fingers that have lost the ability to press a few buttons or RUclips are screwing with me. Or that senility has finally kicked in!!! 😂 Great video my friend. Keep em coming..
Lol, there is a conspiracy at work here clearly TD. You have p*%^£d someone off at RUclips royally, and they are out for revenge my friend. As always, thank you for watching.
@@borislav247 I'll always watch my friend, by far favourite RUclipsr playing my favourite game.
@@Thedukes1984 You're far too kind as always my friend.
Good video. When I faced those marauders I also used the horde to finish off the missing ones. Too bad I learned about the channel already finishing the game when I only had as missions to finish the hordes. I hope they bring out the second part of the game and see your videos of that second part beforehand.
If they bring out a sequel to this game, I'll be booking time off from work to make sure I can get videos out of it, lol.
Just found your page. Great content. Keep up the great work on days gone
Thank you so much MM. I'm basically a Days Gone fanatic, so most of my channel consists of Days Gone videos
New video variety is really starting to grow on me
Thank you so much for those kind words my friend. Most appreciated.
Been waiting for you to do this one! Great video as always mate! This is Richard btw. I changed my alias
Thanks for watching Richard, most appreciated mate.
Let's Goooooo Borislav 😈🤘🏻
It's on my good man.
Run for your lives, Borislav247 coming, he watched Jason Voorhees's all movie. :)
Lol, thank you for watching.
No problem, i watched 5 times Days Gone walktroughs and helped others with hordes. Now just watching your kill videos, before new game and movie coming.: )@@borislav247
@@ReptileNightwolf37 Thank you for watching my friend, and I wish you well with your next venture.
Nicely done, 👍👍
Thank you mate.
Marauders shit their pants when they come to know that Boris is coming ❤❤
Lol, appreciate you watching mate.
Im working my way threw the levels im on normal at. The moment i found the normal setting a bit hard on my very 1st try at the game im more experienced now
Nice, I wish you well with you're latest playthrough.
I've done this too, but I just got them to shoot at me from across the way and then the hoard went right after them
That's a good way MEG. I just go a bit more full on to ensure the entire hordes attention when I want them. And as some of the marauders around the outskirts of the camp sometimes evade the horde, I simply leave nothing to chance. Thank you so much for watching.
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you.
Just about the dumbest place to site your camp. What were they thinking?
LMAO. I couldn't agree more.
Exactly what I always say 😂 maybe they use them for some sort of protection/ distraction 🤔
@borislav247 I forgot to say the gas I was taking about it's a rifle not a crossbow
I always take out the horde first bc if I make a mistake the gun fire will bring the horde and this can make the mission much harder 💯
What kind of idiots would build their camp near or next to a horde cave? Ahh… the kind in Days Gone, lol. And IIRC, there are two such camps.
Exactly Paul, WTF. And yes, another camp in the South of Days Gone are just as stupid.
