Me and my buddy Brandon were 18 living in his grandpas old house in the Bay Area smoking weed and driving around all day. We went to play pool.. he sees a dude in a Poison the Well shirt and said we should find a CD (it was 2003) and so we did. Holy shit.. that was Tear from the red. We loved it.. so new. Nothing sounded like it. Opened the doors to Hellfest me 18v and all that shit. Had no idea they were Deftones fans. Makes sense. We all are anymore. I remember getting teased wearing a tones shirt in like 98’ when they were still just playing CA/AZ. I got a homemade tape with Bored on it.. anyways. PTW was sick. My fav was Chris’ drumming. He always seemed off a half beat but it created this frenetic sound.. loved that shit.
@@crunchyglwwlnah bro this shit sounds so bad Lmao. It’s like when puddle of mud tried to cover nirvana. It just doesn’t work man this shit is an insult to sp
@@Southern_Taurus_Corgan sings like a nasally chipmunk, you have to be kidding me, right? Also, this isn’t even close to sounding like the Puddle of Mud cover, that was done initially as a joke to make people laugh. This is actually much better than the original. The lead vocalist can actually sing and scream, unlike Corgan.
FYI...this song is played regularly on the Corridor of Covers show on Liquid Metal. (chnl 40 Sirius/XM). I just heard it the other day and wondered if it was on RUclips. Jeff's vocals are incredible. I absolutely love it and get goosebumbs every time I hear it. However , hardcore isn't for everybody.
This goes so well with their style from this time holy shit
