It's interesting how little difference a 150 vs 350 actually seems to make in the charging speed. Is it because of the charging curve? 24-80 in 17 minutes is really pretty good. Maybe I'm missing something though, my charging math is terrible.
You can use an adapter to charge using a Tesla destination charger. Otherwise, if you're at a Tesla supercharger, it needs to have the magic dock to work on the ev6. Only Ford and Rivian have capabilities of using any Tesla supercharger with an adapter right now. Ev6 will only work with those with a magic dock. Not many of them yet but getting better.
I did think about that after I watched my video ha ha I did know that. But it’s been so long. Also, the one I had issues on was empty. Just the first one I pulled into, I didn’t end up using it anyway
ok, so that's stupid, if you do not pay kia connect, you won't have battery precondition either... WOW Also, even though the dispensers have 2 handlers, can only be used 1 at a time, so if the cable would have reached, that dispenser was used by the mach-e anyways 🤣 Yup you haven't used it in a while LOL
Ha ha holy crap you’re right . I actually did know that but I just didn’t even think about it. Also, I’m going to subscribe to Kia Connect tomorrow and then I’ll try the map again and see if it makes a difference.
This is why I don't like charging infrastructure. It never works, constant errors, poorly designed apps, stalls and even physical layout of charging stations - like you said on one way street and always blocking cars. On top of it you spent 20 min charging itself and another 10 min at least for trying to find working charger lol. Total 30 min (if not more realistically) just to get 47kWh. Imagine a highway trip of 800 miles can become a charging nightmare with tons of time spent on charging and fighting an uphill battle with this poorly designed system full of issues.
Very practical and useful video. Thanks for sharing.

I agree. And yeah up 80% , you probably shave off a few mins if charging at 230+ vs 150. After 80, it's all generally the same.
Question if I may.. What about the TESLA chargers?? it works with the EV6 So I have seen .. Have you tried does yet ??

I see so many drivers struggling with EA chargers solely due to the free charging.
Your nav, which is linked to Kia Access was never activated? You get it complimentary for 12 mths.
I've literally never used the nav on the car. I've been using Google maps since day 1.
@@Emadificationsyou need it to heat the battery for fast charging in winter
Did you not know that you can only use 1 cable stall at a time and that the number is at the top of the stalls???

That one charger hasn't worked in a year I think. And the other 350 has always had a car there.
The one that says "bad"? Ha ha great. I reported it.

Terrible design.

It will improve over time, and has.
Def has. But now I see lines where I didn't before. But still, progress.
