I had a Bear Cruzer G2 that i bought used. Something must have been wrong with it- i think the guy dry fired it or something. I was tuning it to try to work out some significant cam lean and the riser exploded. Bear has a lifetime warranty but it is for the "original owner only". I contacted Bear and they said to send it in and they would give me a quote to replace the riser. They did not communicate with me very much through the process as i was waiting to get a price (about 2 weeks from the time i shipped it). Much to my surprise a brand new bow showed up at my doorstep at no cost. They even included a free hat. Super impressed with their service and love the bow. Very light and compact.
That's pretty cool indeed. They also may have just detected a flaw in the riser construction. I think the riser is cast too and not milled. Dry firing would not have created such a flaw but id anything maybe damaged the limbs. I'm a Bear owner too.
Ordered the Dragon x8 from your link from Sanlida Archery. Used to bow hunt 30 years ago about to turn 60 and want to get back into it again. Love your videos. God bless
Bought the dragon x8 after about twenty years of not touching a bow was shooting near and hitting bullseye at fifty yards. This thing is a beast!! Just keep the Allen wrenches in your pocket to make slight adjustments as you move your group in the sight. Start at ten yards and move out, doing one pin at a time for ten, twenty, thirty, forty, and fifty use the string puller and your index finger at the ear with the tip of your nose touching the string to look through the peep hole and you'll master this bow in no time.
Sean, love the videos and content. Also love the fact that you are using this platform that God has blessed you with to present the Gospel. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Sean for another great video.. I am enjoying learning more about bow hunting and archery thanks to your videos!!! Thank you and may Jesus bless and protect you and yours now and forever.

Hi Sean, great comparison. Just starting my Archery journey due to being sidelined from more physical sports due to injury. I am learning heaps from your videos. Thank you 🙏🤙
Was gunna get a bear g2 but saw your giveaway for the x8 and I am waiting incase I am lucky, thanks for all your vids Sean, makes it much less intimidating when you have some basic info, while being the rookie at ranges.
Great. I am giving one away on my Facebook page and one away on my Instagram page this month, so try to get in both to double your chances. God bless you.
Hello Sean. I bought a Bear Cruzer G2 for a couple months now as the first compound. I did not knew the Dragon X8 when I bought my bow. Never tryed any compound bow instead of this one but I'm very happy with my purchase. I really can feel the power in it. So far, the only cons i've noticed is mainly the accessories quality. They are hardcore cheap plastic. I know it because with the use they started to be very worn out... and of course, I bought new and better ones and already can notice the massive difference. The sight also has a light in it. At least mine has and it came with the bow, no extras. If someone is thinking in buying the G2, I'll seriously advise to buy at least a good and better arrow rest. The whisker biscuit that comes with the bow works enough so you can shoot arrows but in my not very much experience, it was a pain to tune it properly and when I finished, it was mostly worn out. Also, I would advise too to buy a better peep sight. The one with the rubber cable is not very durable and sometimes it realeases from the string. It's completly safe as long as you don't release the arrow, it's just scary when it happens and you'll lose time tuning the peep sight. Cheers and good hunting :D
I purchased a Bear Cruzer G2 for my son which I used to do the testing in all the videos I did on the G2, and I thought it did not come with a sight light because it doesn't have one on there now. However, it turns out it does come with one. There is a good chance one of my four little kids just took it off. Sorry I missed that detail. I also forgot to mention that the G2 does come with a plastic quiver.
Thanks Sean I just purchased the dragon X8 along with the price it has all the features a disabled Archer needs , the short axle to axle length is extremely important for shooting in a ground blind from a wheelchair.great comparison. Great video love the way you do your comentary. God bless
Wish I had waited to order my Dragon X8 from the Sanlida Outdoors website. Wanted the black bow and not the camo version so couldn't order from Amazon. Would have used your link. Looking forward to trying out the Dragon X8. Thanks for posting the tuning Video and will be referring to it when it arrives.
Thanks Sean for your great reviews. I just took my 2nd lesson using range rentals. Last bow used was a Bowtech Convergence. I think I want to get my first bow so my bow is always tuned for me. My draw length 26.5 (wingspan 66 hobbit inches). Do you think the Sanlida is a good first bow or should I spend more money? I know I am going to need a lot of accessories to start as well. I will almost exculisively use this for recreation/target. (I live in Brooklyn, NY) Any thoughts/suggestions? Many thanks in advance and again thanks for your thorough reviews.
I took Sean's recommendation on the Dragon X8 after asking the same question. I finally got to take it to the range today and I have to say I am very pleased with the purchase of the Dragon X8.
Sean, I went to the Dragon X8 website and I see they are made in China and I believe all Bear bows are made in America. That would be an important thing for everyone to consider before making a purchase. But great review. Thank you!
You may want to double check that. The G2 might be made in China too. The thing to verify when you call Bear if they say it is made in America is to ask if that means manufactured in America or if it is manudactured in china but assembled in America . Those are also important distinctions.
@@seansoutdoors Great advice! I did call Bear Archery and got some additional information. The G2 is made and assembled in America. The only two Bear bows made in China are the Pledge and the Salute. All bows in their Compound series and Legend series are made and assembled in America.
@@madhuntsadventures Great, thanks for doing that. I pulled up their number after I replied and was planning to call too but had some emergency stuff happen today that I only just now finished dealing with. God bless you.
Can you please make a side by side video for a high end bows that you review. This will be really helpful especially when spending close to 1000 $ only on the bow. The low end is really nice but they are almost the same at least in my draw length. But it is almost impossible to find detail data on the high end options especially side by side. Also it will really interesting find out if you lose the draw weight when you shorten the draw length on high end bow.
Hey Sean another great review, thanks! I bought a cruzer g2 based on your review as a backup to my halon and now considering the dragon x8. The one stat I didn’t see in your list was overall weight, which is important to me. Can you let me know the weight of each fully accessorized?
I got my bear cruzer G2 back in January and I would recommend that you replace the draw string on it as soon as you can because it broke on me as I was shooting it. I was using about 400 grain arrows. Thankfully the rest of the bow is just fine and the buss cables are intact and would be replacing those as well to avoid the same issue. The only gripe I have with the bow is the sight and, depending on how you look at it, the stabilizer but I'm assuming that most people are hunting deer with it from a stand.
great info, thanks Sean. I tried your link to Sanlida, but they indicate Sold Out, so will use your link to Amazon when ready to buy. Thanks also for the blessing. Blessings to you Bro.

Come on Sean, really?? This sounds more like a paid promotion for the Dragon. The Amazon reviews are your typical somewhat broken english non verified purchase, take with a HUGE grain of salt... The Bear DOES have a light on the Trophy Ridge sight. The "About Us" page on Sanlida's site is comedy gold. I don't know man......
For some reason my bear cruzer g2 didn't have a light. Maybe they forgot to put it in the box when I bought it. Did you shoot the dragon x8? All I did was compare the data after extensively testing both, go watch both review videos. In my opinion, the dragon crushes the G2 based on data and price. It's half the price, way better for draw length adjustment. I didn't even mention how you have to change the entire mod back and forth every half inch change on the G2 (royal pain to be going back and forth as your kids grow fast) whereas the dragon is simply all one mod you slide. Go shoot both bows side by side and do all the testing throughout all the various draw lengths I did for each and then come back and comment.
ruclips.net/video/yWAzBIGIrlk/видео.html The G2 was basically middle of the pack when I did all the side by side tests with it last year too, so I'm just basing it on data, not brand ruclips.net/video/buWDp1n73f8/видео.html ruclips.net/video/S-KhoE4RHJA/видео.html
@@seansoutdoors ruclips.net/video/InMo09vTCUk/видео.html That's YOUR video. Pause it at the 26 second mark. You can clearly see the light and the yellow tag for the battery. The mod swap is just a silly argument. Also I said absolutely nothing about one bow being better than the other. You're deflecting from my original point.
@@Plyply99 Nice, guess one of my four little children made off with it, LOL! They are great at doing that. I made an addition to the comments section after your initial comment and also pinned a comment to the top, to indicate that the Bear does come with a sight light. Sorry that I misunderstood your initial comment. Regardless, I was just presenting data, and I asked people if they were going to buy either bow, it helps my channel if they use the links provided. I'm simply trying to provide data, and also asking people to support my channel if they are planning to buy either especially since RUclips demonetizes so many archery and hunting videos anymore. I was offended by your initial comment because I work so hard to give people good data, and you seemed to not realize how much hard work goes into these videos. Either way, I'm letting it all go, I don't really feel like arguing. If I upset you, I am very sorry. God bless you.

If I did it is in the review data presented. There are some reviews in which I have but I do not remember if I did for these.
Blessed to harvest a deer with my dragon x8.
Awes, congrats
Thank you.
Just bought a dragon x8 and was curious if I could go deer hunting with it
Absolutely. Many people use them with great success for deer hunting.
After watch this video, i think i'm gonna buy sanlida today
May God bless your archery practice
Salinda is 100% better bow than the bear. Thank you 😊
👍
@@seansoutdoors I only said that because I have the salinda 😁
I need a dragon in my life,,, baadddlllyyy! 😁
Cool
I'm giving one away almost every week from now to Christmas. See the giveaways page of my website
Shame though that you cannot buy the X8 in Germany.
Maybe write to the company and ask if they will

Sean's Outdoor Adventures , Amen

The G2 was basically middle of the pack when I did all the side by side tests with it last year too, so I'm just basing it on data, not brand ruclips.net/video/buWDp1n73f8/видео.html

That's YOUR video.
Diamond SB1 or Dragon x8?
