    Some reviews mentioned the device locked them out for 48 hrs despite making the proper decompression stops. Have you had any experience with this issue?
    Thanks!

    Would you recommend it for multigaz diving?

    Thanks for a nice look. I'm shopping for a new DC now to replace my D6 and I'm torn between the Eon Core and the newer D5. Are the electronics, upgradability via firmware etc. similar on both units?

    hi, how does it differ from EON STEEL? my understanding is different materials, it is lighter, smaller and you can use it upto 80m (instead of 150 with STEEL) as for the rest it is exactly the same .. and core is cheaper .. correct?

      I wondered the same difference. Don’t know why that critical piece of information was omitted...

      Probably yes

    How long is the lifespan of rechargeable batteries before replacement? Does not say its User replaceable and cost for the battery?

    • @garrettstevensen2467
      @garrettstevensen2467 5 лет назад

      Al Mendoza My same exact question. This information is strangely omitted everywhere.

      @@garrettstevensen2467 500 charges, so 50 dives per year, 10years.

    • @ttb1513
      @ttb1513 8 месяцев назад

      @@mattmcgahan Ok, but I thought the battery life per charge is 10-20 hours, so should be able to do even more dives per year?

    • @mattmcgahan
      @mattmcgahan 8 месяцев назад

      @@ttb1513Correct. I actually meant dive days which for me could be 2or 3 each day so up to 150 dives per year going once per week. Basically, the cycles capability times the hours of use gives a potential for 10,000 dives of one hour duration. You’re dive career is unlikely to exceed that I’d imagine.

    Don't get the pricing of this. Why is it more expensive than a Shearwater Perdix AI WITH the Transmitter + Tank Pod?

    • @markkim2706
      @markkim2706 6 лет назад +3

      where can you get a Perdix for less than £599? Cheapest Perdix AI I can find is £880 for the computer alone, or are you talking 2nd hand?

    • @vancitycanucks
      @vancitycanucks 6 лет назад

      Mark Kim Im in Canada. I bought my Perdix AI + Transmitter for $1049 CAD. The Suunto Eon Core is $1499 without tank pod!

    • @bullus9
      @bullus9 6 лет назад +3

      Maybe because Shearwater are Canadian, Suunto is Finnish - not sure what you import duties/taxes are, but that might play a role? Or maybe just Canadian dive shops are ripping you off...

      Suunto are preset as more conservative, I've even set mine to be even more conservative. I do hope your buddies kept being you buddies, and you ended your dives together?
