I spent last Saturday moving my current Ryzen 7 3800X system from my old Cooler Master Stacker 830 case to a new Bequiet Dark Base 900 Pro Rev 2 and that took me about 8 hours plus (not including breaks to keep my sanity) and I had to redo some stuff because I messed up some small things for another two hours two days later. So props to Linus to only need four hours to build a new system with a total case reconfiguration.
For your Smoke Tests i would recommend using a CO² effect fluid, like for this maschine its called "ADJ Fog Juice CO2", it produces a very thick and dense fog but quickly dissolves, so you get a good viewable effect and don't create a foggy room. Maybe you machine could use some cleaning with smoke maschine cleaner or destilled water. (don't use alcohol or venigar)

Always setup task manager to be always on top, so in case something crash and wont let you see other windows, task manager will force its way up no matter what.
For bottom intake fans, I've never had to clean the bottom intake even though my pc is on the carpet, however the front intake always clogs and has to be cleaned. the front intake sucks floating dust from the air, but floating dust has a hard trouble getting under the pc, now If I put the pc on a hard surface like a wooden floor then maybe the bottom intake might get more dust.
As opposed to keeping it on the carpet, where it gets no air intake. This comment made me laugh a bit. If you're going with bottom intake, you need a hardwood floor or keeping it on a desk. Carpet is just going to kill all or most of your airflow... Unless you have like at least 5 inch feet on your case.
@@omulamfibie I get enough air, its not like the carpet is so long it reaches the fan grill, still like a half inch or so over the carpet. the front fans are more choked than the bottom.
2:40:00 I knew the vertical GPU mount was janky from seeing GN's review of it but seeing Linus's first impression was just as entertaining as expected.

So much fun watching Linus do this after watching Steve and Paul run through the features. But they didn't do a build so watching Linus discover things was fun.
A nice long enjoyable pc build, sound you put some orange on the outside, maybe zipper pulls?and if you're going to do double fabric on the bottom a thin piece of yoga mat material would be nice.
I definitely agree with manufacturers using the same threaded MB screws. Trying to find custom anodized #6-32 pan head screws has been a nightmare. I finally found a place that sells custom colored screws for pinball machines and I can use M4 countersunk washers for a nice two-tone look for my build theme.

3:57:00 You're literally describing the problem called "buffer bloat" which is caused by too much buffering in your WiFi-router. Reconfigure or replace the WiFi access point and you're fine. Some manufacturers use buffers worth of full second so you can have latency spikes over 1000 ms! It's not uncommon to see tens of networks if you live in an apartment building and the more networks there are using the same shared radio medium, the slower it gets for everybody.

After flipping the motherboard tray in the case, couldn't you have flipped the case, and built it "right side up" according to instructions?
Recommend a high mass smoke machine for that - the one you are using is a bit weedy.

@Linus Tech Tips I thought there was a trick to EU import costs. you sell the product for 1 dollar, but you make the shipping costs higher like:
1x shirt : 1 dollar
Shipping : 33 dollars
Shipping isn't subject to import tariffs.
You have to check if this is correct though
The nap comversation Linus does is what I subscribed for
I love how Linus doesn't want his fans and customers to waste their money. 💯 % behind that business model. I will buy the screwdriver and probably put Milwaukee short tips because I like a very blunt Philips tip.
