I was confused by TF 1.x's massive different high level API and I always use low level API, it's clear and flexible. I don't mind writing more codes.

Tensorflow is slower, and their api are very poor compare with pytorch and gluoncv, hope 2.0 can fix these drawbacks
Why not use pytorch or gluoncv instead then ?
I have never heard of TF being slower. I think this has to do in how you optimize your model
