OMG! I'm soooooo glad you did this vid. the same thing happened to me when i was rocking my Air Jordan 14 (XIV) Retro Womens Black / Real Pink - Metallic Silver kicks. The entire sole came of both. Thanks for this vid.
Well dam, I have over 15 pairs 🥴 of Jays & 10 regular sneaks. Looks like I’m gonna have to start a new hobby in the sneaker game lol, sneaker restorer with these videos & kits. Great vid. I’m subscribed now lol
Great video. Really comprehensive. Some sexy products I must confess I want. Some advice to those going attempt their first resole; first of all it's harder than it looks. Secondly just be careful with the heat gun. You can warp the soles and on any 'Air' sole you can actually burst it. I messed up a pair of Jordan TE2s pretty bad once ;) Good luck.
I have a question about the upper & midsole glueing step, starting @ 7:39. After letting the glue sit for 30 mins, you only heat up the edges to reattach. What about the large area in the middle? Without heating that part up, will you still get a good enough bond?
Wrong you want to glue edges first (as shown in the video) once done with that u heat the inside of the shoes lightly to secure the bond. Take your time
I have a pair of Jordan Retro 13 Cap and Gowns, I barely wore them and at the front of the right shoe the toe began to separate from the sole. I just bought some Barge All Purpose glue and I will see how that works.
I just ordered the product because the sole in front of the toe box came off. Because it’s a small portion of the shoe should I still do that whole regluing process or should I do it a different way
I think it might be because he’s on some sorta time limit. He might jus be a shitty restorer but they have a location in LA where they film in Santa Fe springs and this is a very lengthy restoration that should take an 2 days and he probably took like 4 hours doing this 😂

I'm just getting the whole restoration thing, but I still have my flaws and now I'm at the point of being a professional at SHOE Restoration. Any information I can get to get on that level plus let me know or better yet show me. It takes patience, concentration, dedication and money of course.
I saw him replace the insert with Angelus Direct Sole Replacements but I don't see any on your website. Where can I find a good insert for my Fire Red 3s?
Never paint the netting that thick..use white and add a thinner to the white. Even if only a little bit of water. And then paint em with about 7 to 8 coats until u see the progress.
I agree. He did an amazing job other than the netting in my humble opinion. I figured as experience as he looks that he would have taken the “adding thinner” route. Again, amazing job other than that! 💯
It’s meant to be used on materials like rubber, plastic, nonporous surfaces i don’t know why he did that 🤦♂️. I think he should’ve just left the yellow netting

Hi there, with the correct preparation it should. You would need to take off the old glue completely. I recommend a lot of research showing how to do that. There are a few different methods to try.
@@AngelusBrand Ok, Thanks. I should have mentioned they are the Shox model. Shame it's double the price her in the UK. Still, compared to the cost of a new pair of trainers. BTW, how many soles could I reattach with the amount in one pot?

Come on man! You should have completely disassembled those midsoles and rubber soles for new glue. The old glue around the toe box has already done its time. It’s gonna be a pain to have to reglue the toe box again after wearing them for a while.
I know this vid is old but anyone know how to get glue off the Dremel attachment? Every time I use the Dremel, the dried glue from the sneaker somehow reforms and attaches to the Dremel.

Fascinating sneaker restoration. Thanks!
Shoes on just look funny af
Maybe it's cause they tied it too tight, 4s look best with relaxed lacing. Plus they shoulda went with white lace
Another tips and tricks upon glueing the soles...thanks angelus for informative video.

Is heating the glue up neccessary if I don't have heatgun, what's the heating for anyway?

Nice job bro is very incredible
What is the temperature you use on the heat gun to heat the glue?
Can you do hydro dipping with angelus paint?🤔🤔🤔
If it is in spray paint form yes
I don't think a bottle of paint would work because paint doesn't float unless its very thin like spray paint

What products from angelus can you use to paint of surfaces like the Jordan 3&4 back tabs
You can use the paint with the additive 2-Hard. That will harden the paint onto the surface. If that surface is too flexible, this will not work well.
