    Hey, I’m 16 years old and i’m already doing my research on the trade routes. I go to trade school for plumbing but in that class we learn how to use excavators and skidstears and micro cranes. I really believe i caught the trade route just in time because not enough kids are hearing about this stuff! My top three trades that i’m considering when i graduate are plumbing, welding, and of course HEO. Thanks!

    It can be very difficult. I have 20 years driving truck/heavy wrecker and digging graves with JD and Case backhoes. I tried a lot of places but they all wanted to start you as a laborer. I understand this for the most part but with 20 years handling large trucks and wreckers as well as backhoe it's kind of hard starting as a laborer again. I just kept looking and eventually got in with a scrap yard running the front loaders and then the material handler cranes. I guess you just keep looking till you find that niche.

    Heavy equipment operator certification with safety tickets and truck license may help you pass the threshold

  • @madjack1748
    @madjack1748 Год назад

    Best way to get into a machine is starting from a laborer and earning it, or as truck driver loading yourself. spending time on the ground working with a machine provides invaluable knowledge when you go to jump in the seat. If you're green and feel confident with the controls and how the machine works then the best jobs are bulking or loading out trucks or working in some kind of pit or mine. After that civil construction or logging are good, more advanced machine careers that require a lot of skill and knowledge to be good at but they're very rewarding. Always talk to the older experienced guys and ask for advice too, takes years to become a good operator and not everyone is cut out for it, in my experience 90% of the people i've worked with who spent thousands on a school or course end up as rock truck drivers.
