    I like to call it "soundgasm" when a bit of music hits a perfect tingly spot in your soul, like in To Find Our Long Forgotten Gold in the video and the "got it, good, not *get inside*" in Bo Burnham's All Eyes On Me
    I also get it in one part of the 4th movement of Dvorak's 9th symphony

    I couldn't read any of the text during The Wellermen segment because it was too tiny. (Also, poor text color choice, but that's not on you.) Can you post these vertical so that tiny text is bigger on a phone screen?

    My dauther is autistic and trust me the food having weird texture is the dayly curse she won't eat anything with any type of meat of vegan texture so having her eat is a struggle. As a baby she liked everything mashed but now even that's a weird texture it's a struggle for a parent to keep food healthy.

      @tobio_kageyama 2 года назад +11

      There may be some traits/symptoms that are the same/similar, so it could just be that, but autism and ADHD have high rates of comorbidity. So if you have one, you're more likely to have the other :)
      You can check out Chloe Hayden, an ADHD autistic creator!

      Autism and ADHD have A LOT of similarious. I have ADHD and watch autism content creators because I relate to them as well. Despite finding autistic creators incredibly relatable, I don't have enough of the symptoms to qualify for an autism diagnosis. It is definitely something you should look into though, because as the above comment mentioned it's possible to have both

    I have a problem and I need some help. I am sure I have adhd because I fit the symptoms and I have done online tests I’ve had people with adhd ask me if I have it. But the problem is I don’t want to tell my parents in fear I could not have it and be embarrassed because I wasted everyones time. What do I do??? Sorry this is so lengthy

    • @Xanderj89
      @Xanderj89 2 года назад +3

      Those fears are a big part of the neurodivergancy too. I overthought it for literally years, trying to find the perfect way to present it to them with evidence and everything I needed to back me up and feel secure…but then I finally broke down and just said it from the stress of it all and by the end of my conversation my parents were listing other people in the family they were sure had it too and that we should all get checked. They didn’t even think twice about believing me, I had my whole life as a reference point and it made so much sense to me, I should have realized it would make sense to them too.
      Going into it I was convinced they would never believe me, would write it off or try to label me a different way. It was yet another case of my adhd locking me in place overthinking. I hate that dread and understand it, no matter how unlikely it is our brains will tell us the bad outcome is what we need to prepare for, and it makes opening up feel that much more vulnerable and scary when you expect the worst.
      I want you to think about other times you’ve been stuck like this and then it wasn’t a big deal (and I know how that still doesn’t make it easy, but try). I want you to think about what struggles you are having that this provides clarity for, that might be helped by a diagnosis or meds, that wanting better for yourself is a strength. I want you to know you’re believed, and that you know yourself better than anyone else, the leap is there to take when you’re ready.

    I have a question I've been seeing stimming and neurodivergent stuff all the time but I don't understand like... any of it cause my parents say I'm normal but lots of people say I am weird so like... can anyone explain or help it would be great

    • @Gigisaur158
      @Gigisaur158 2 года назад +2

      There's no way to tell one way or the other just over the internet, but I can say that I experienced the same thing you did and I was just recently diagnosed with ADHD. Your parents have known you your whole life, so of course you're normal to them because you've always been and done the things that you're identifying as neurodivergent. It's also possible that either or both of your parents also have a neurodivergence (they're highly heritable - you probably got it from one of them) and they never realized it, so they may not have a fully accurate grasp of what "normal" is.
      If you strongly identify with neurodivergent traits - see a professional, if possible. This can be a general practitioner (family doctor) or a psychiatrist. And when you do, you'll need to explain to them the symptoms you're experiencing due to your neurodivergence, so it may help to bring a list so that you feel prepared. Now, this is the really important part (especially if you're seeking treatment through therapy and/or medication): in addition to telling the professional what your symptoms are, you also need to tell them HOW those symptoms are affecting your life in a negative way. This helps them to identify which type(s) of neurodivergence they believe you have, as well as gives them a reason to prescribe meds and/or therapy (to alleviate those negative symptoms). By explaining the troubling things you wish you weren't experiencing, you're giving your doctor things to treat to help you feel better.

    • @mimisler
      @mimisler 2 года назад +2

      Your parents may also be undiagnosed, so to them it's normal. My mom found out she has ADHD when I was diagnosed cause the symptom list described her childhood struggles. I've read of whole families who where just "quirky" and then one kid got diagnosed and oh, that explains a lot.
      But yeah if you're identifying really hard with these go get professionally evaluated.

    • @cowabunga8922
      @cowabunga8922 2 года назад +6

      Yeah most people can have some of these symptoms, but people who are neurodivergent tend to experience these symptoms more frequently and more intense. It also seems like more people are being diagnosed with things, but only because there's more research being put into it and mental illness/health has become less of a taboo topic.

    • @luminafrost644

      If you’re neurotypical you have one or a few of “these”, but if you are neurodivergent you have a bunch and more severe, to the point were they influence your life in a negative way.
