How to update the firmware on your SENA 30K comm unit

I have the 30K. After upgrading to 3.1.1 when mesh mode once each minute it cycles between mesh and Bluetooth intercom while doing this you can’t hear the other riders too well at all and it does it constantly so in one hour it does this 60 times it’s made it just about unusable.
Sena needs to solve this PROBLEM!
Soon word will spread the news about this problem to other riders and they will go to a less problematic Communication device.
This process is finnicky about the cable used. Use the one that came with your intercom. Most (if not all) others will not allow the updater to recognize your device.
Until I got the 30K I wasn't aware there were cables that are only designed to pass power and not both power and data. Lesson learned.
Sena 30k not recognising to pc Sena manager 😢 so no update for me
This could be due to a mismatch in the firmware - the app is expecting to see one version, the comms unit has an older version. Try updating the comms unit's firmware and then see if the app is able to connect to it.
any issues with sena app crashing after updating version ? i can`t seem to leave it open for more than a minute and it crashes.

Try reaching out to a Sena retailer, at the very least they may be able to help you get the proper cable.

The best way to update SENA hardware is to buy a CARDO communications unit IMHO.
