I wanted to say thanks for these videos, they are brilliant, and combined with the exercises, I feel they are a great first step to learning Dutch. No doubt I'll sign up for your grammar course too, when I've worked my way through these. Also, I love the fact that you've added a small course on the differences between Flemish and Dutch, it is the first place I've heard of having something like this! (A gift when you are learning Dutch to talk to your Flemish family-in-law!) I do have a few things/issues though, that I wanted to point out, one specifically for this course: I think it depends which country you come from how you divide the seasons by months. In Denmark for example, we'd say that winter is December-February, rather than January-March. It might be worth mentioning in the video (or omit from the exercises), since this did give me a fault in the exercises that it took me three tries to figure out where was (since it was not for lack of understanding the question or the Dutch words). That was combined with the fact that for some exercises, this included, it seems like you can't go back and see your answers and see what you've got right or wrong. I think it's a really great feature for the exercises that has this option, and personally think it'd be great to have for all of the exercises :) Finally (more a technical thing): It seems like when logging in (for me at least), you have to use your username rather than email to get in, even though the log-in fields says that you can use either. Once again, thanks for a great course, I'm looking forward to learning more Dutch with the help of your videos :D
Thanks to your lessons that foreign students(such as me^-^)may be able to study in Nederland!!In my hometown, there is not even a teacher who teaches Dutch specially.
Dear Bart, in the esersices of the lesson I read: Op 25 e 26 december is het kerst in Nederland... In the Van Dale dictionary Kerst is a De word. Witch is correct? Thanks
Great course. It would be great too to see the mistakes in the exercises. That is another way to learn. I have taken 10 quizzes and only two showed me my faults.
I spent 19 days with flemish people in 2001 and 2002. Flemish writing is easier than English sometimes, but when they spoke I understood absolutely nothing.
Hi Bart! Thanks for your videos! I would like to know why "dag" doesn't get an extra g to keep the short sound when we transform it into plural: "dagen"...
I'm a christian, and it's a bit sad tho, to know that many Dutch ppl have stopped going to church and maybe even stopped thinking about God.. Although their ancestors introduced Christianity in my country, Indonesia.
