  • The plan to start saving to buy a home in Finland began in 2019. At the time, I was not sure yet if I would be staying in Finland or not.
    In this video, I share why I decided to open a home savings account in Finland and explain a little bit more about what exactly this account is and why you may consider having one too.

    Nowadays the savings account gives you 1% interest + 4% extra interest for the first calendar year and successive 5 calendar years of saving. The extra interest will only be realized when getting the home savings loan. So the extra interest will be 'invisibly' accrued in the background and won't be seen in your balance at any point. Nordea at least doesn't show the extra interest in any way!

      Thank you for sharing this Tundral TV ❤ !! Yes, I actually don't remember the percentages exactly but they did seem higher than usual. I had my home savings account with S-Pankki and at least they did show the amount of interest you have accrued thanks to your savings - but just on a yearly basis (so at the end of every year they would deposit you that interest to your account and you would be able to see it) 😊

    You are very detailed and not boring. You should do a video on comparing politics in Finland and Mexico.
    Diferencia abismal me imagino. 😂

    Thanks for great content and your effort to create this educational content about purchasing a home in Finland. I would like to add that in Finland you do not buy the home or house, instead you buy the shares to the housing company that is formed of all the home/unit owners. So, in otherwords, this is very typical to Finland only and the system here is not a condo comparable as you do not own anything physical, like the walls etc. nstead you own the right to occupy. When you sell your home/unit, you actually sell these shares of the housing company that gives you the right to occupy a certain unit.

    How much is home price

    • @Jadeziii
      @Jadeziii  Год назад

      The price depends on the area, type of house, the size of the house, the year of construction and the state of the renovations that have been done - so it is hard to tell. 😅
