    Hi, and Danish citizen her - with a Finnish ID card, I got approved immediately for a Curve card. Cool info, thank you. I'll check out Komplett too. And thank you for the €5 enough for a coffee and cake

    haha I got declined from Komplett Card immediately after my application. Maybe the reason is that I have just arrived in Finland, but I will try several months later. Thank you for the information!!!

      I guess it's because your credit rating will be "no rating" until you've lived here for two years. But it's worth trying it out every once in a while.

      I've lived here for 5 years, have a reliable and solid credit history, and still got rejected. Go figure hahaha

    Aleksi, if you have authorization from a client (make it writen), you can add your client´s possible to S payment bill on your own S-bonus adding. I pay all my grocery with this.

    i just dont understand why these card companies ( especially S-ryhmä) doesnt offer these things in english ,especially given fact Uusimaa has close to 30 percent non-finns , tampere like 15 percent and turku about 15 as well . just dont understand why they have to be so ´´segregating ´´ ...

      It's a good point. It's a big investment to offer services in English so maybe they haven't found it as a good choice yet.

      Have you ever tried to do something in another EU country? Finland has an incredible amount of websites in English. You won't find that elsewhere.

      Because S-Pankki does not like foreigners lol
      They don’t want to do business with you if you don’t understand the terms and conditions. So effectively, they are consciously choosing their customers. No Finnish, no loans.

    I got curve card but the free version one can link only 2 cards, do you use the free version.

    Aleksi, would you pay for Finnair ticket purchases using Komplett card and get 2% cashback, or would you pay for it using Finnair Visa credit card and get 2.5-3 Finnair Plus award points per euro? I don't have a Finnair Visa credit card and I'm considering if it is worth applying for one if I spend 4000-5000 euros annually on Finnair tickets.

      No. The only potential cost is the interest but you can avoid it by paying the balance off in full.

Well, I am willing to open Toiminimi, and for this could you recommend with which bank should I run my company? you know which is not having more bank charges or whatsoever. My personal account is also in S Pankki, but they do not open business accounts.

    hello, if I put S etukortti in curve card, would the bonus apply if I use curve card in S market or anything that have S bonusta?

      Good question. You can only add payment cards to Curve. If you have a debit or credit card from S-Pankki with S etukortti included, you can add it to Curve but it does not activate S bonus automatically. You need to either tap the card at the point-of-sale or you can use an app called MobilePay and add both S-etukortti loyalty and payment card there. For example,. when I go to Prisma, I pay using MobilePay and it activates S bonus and allows me to pay with Curve.

      They will send you a bill every month with payment details. You pay it just like any other bill.

      No. You need to be a resident, not citizen.

    My application for the komplett card was declined. I was surprised since I live in Finland since 7 years, I am older than 23 yo, I have a permanent job (regular income) and good credit. I will try later again.
    The curve card does not offer cash back since March. Aleksi, do you know of other card/app that offers cash back options as an alternative to Curve card?

      You can withdraw them to your credit from the web version. In other words, they will deduct your credit bill. You can't cash them out but the effect is the same.

      You can't pay rent with a credit card in Finland, only bank transfers. Most credit cards are fine for international travel.

Or do I need to open a Fnnish bank account fo sure?

      For how long will you live here? You definitely need to open a Finnish bank account because you will get online banking codes for strong authentication, which you will need all the time.

      @@solomonnathanaeljackson8435 AFAIK, Finnish banks can give loans for homes abroad but the homes cannot be used as a collateral. Home loans require 100% collateral and Finnish homes provide 70-80% for that. So you would need to cover the shortfall with cash or something else the bank accepts.
