I read the book and when the show came out I was so confused cause I had a totally different mental picture of the characters than who they cast for them. 😭😭
My high school had an app similar to About That but we called it the burn book. In fact, posts were made about students from the whole school district (high schools). All the students in my high school had to go to an assembly and the principal talked to us about the app. The principal and other staff members ended up finding out about it. Principal said if someone knew who was posting on the app to come forward and promised that it would be anonymous and they wouldn't get in trouble. He also told us that they were eventually going to find out who was posting on the app but decided to give students an opportunity to admit what they did. Some of the posts were similar to the ones included in One of Us is Lying.
Can I just say I totally get the hype for Nate there's just something about his character that makes you root (simp) for him 🙌 Though the actor does the good job little mad he doesn't look as described in the book 🙃 your right him and TJ look so similar like 2 similar looking white blond guys 😭
i didn't expect simon to look like that but i am NOT complaining. watched the show a few months ago and im now obsessed w mark (simons actor) and i love his Irish accent 😍
also: I just watched the first episode so I could watch your reaction and I'm living for that! Will you do the episode reaction for OOIL that you did for S&B? That would be awesome 😎
Ahh I just finished this series on Netflix and i loved it except the ending they changed... Jake shouldn't have died and Nate and Bronwyn!! I needed them together 😭 Though overall I liked how they made all side characters pretty likable e.g. Keely , improved Cooper's story line. But I'm still mad Nate wasn't how I imagined in the book 😬
They didn't actually change the ending but Jake just doesn't die in One of Us is Lying, he dies in One of Us is Next. They did change other stuff though, I'm pretty sure Kris had like orange hair or something and I'm also pretty sure that Nate had dark brown or black hair.

Simon was supposed to drink the entire cup in one gulp because it was poison, when he dropped the cup in the movie, it was still filled with water. 2. Nate was supposed to have blue eyes and dark hair. 3. There's a scene in the movie where the police tell Bronwyn that without Simon, she will be valedictorian. In the books, she always _was_ valedictorian, that's why Simon targeted her. 4. In the movie, it's so obvious that Cooper was gay, whereas in the book, when I found out, I was so shocked.
technically no, one of us is next has a different plot with new characters but there are certain references for one of us is lying but u can read book 2 without reading book 1 but i would say read both because they're both really good

ugh I did not like the adaptation AT ALL, Nate was sooo different from my mental image, as was Cooper and actually Bronwyn as well lol. Actually think addy and Simon are the only ones that were cast very well
