You are so so generous with all of this amazing information!! Thank you so much for sharing all of your wisdom!! One thing I thought of while watching is that I save the chip board backing from the giant packs of watercolor paper we pick up for practice. We tear the paper down to a more manageable size, but use the chip board with clips as clipboards! Sometimes I've even cut out the center to make weaving frames, but that can be a project 😂 I wish I'd heard that wisdom about the silks before we started investing (years ago- my oldest is ten now), they get SO expensive! It was so disappointing when my kids weren't really drawn to them the way I'd expected, and just wanted to use the larger pieces of fabric in pretty prints and colors we'd picked up from our local box craft store. Live and learn!! 🙃 Thank you again for all your work putting these beautiful and helpful videos together!! Your voice is so soothing and I listen while I'm cooking or working on a project, and I'm learning so much!!
You are very welcome! And thank you for sharing your tip. I learn so much when tips are shared. I’m with you on the silks! Honestly a flat cotton bedsheet works wonders and costs Pennies compared. Not that I don’t still love the silks, it’s just that I didn’t find that nearly as practical for my boys as large pieces of fabric.
This is soooo helpful! My daughter is quickly approaching school age and my husband will soon be returning to school himself as a student so money will be extremely tight to say the least! Good to hear what is worth spending money on and what is not necessary to splurge on. Perhaps you already have a video on this topic, but what are some waldorf inspired activites that I can fill the day doing with my preschooler? We do a lot of free play currently but it would be nice to get some other ideas too. Thank you! Your channel has been such a wonderful resource.
I am so glad you found this helpful! Also, because the quality of waldorf supplies is high, if you find them second hand, they are probably still in great condition (though probably still expensive!). I will make a video about preschool activities soon and post a link here in the comments when it's up.
For water color we have taken a liking to gouache paint. We invested in quality toys early and our last child is currently using them! we’ll keep them in anticipation of future grandchildren.

For the watercolors I mix them with distilled water, in glass jars and store them in the fridge. They last months this way! 😊
That is a great tip, thank you!

@@PepperandPine thanks so much!

So smart to invest in those quality materials from the start.
I’m just learning about gouache and am looking forward to trying it.
