I think some people forget that this is an expensive hobby, and if a clone really gets the job done, it's great that they exist. Not everyone can afford two, three, or four hundred bucks for a bottle, but they can afford $30 to 50.

Can you imagine just getting into fragrances, and this is the first video you come across. You would have an instant collection and save soooo much money:)
To be fair, these are not all fragrances beginners would want. It is likely some of these smells are too niche for someone just jumping on the ship.

Clones are also good for getting people into this game. People get them for cheap and slowly learn more and more. When they get older and have more money they will want the real stuff, vintage bottles, and just have more respect for everything

lattafa fakhar is one of the best deals out there. $25 for a clone of a discontinued Y Live that's my fav Y fragrance and still solid lomgevity and projection
I went on a mini Lattafa haul...I'm highly impressed of the quality and performance. They smell awesome.
What do you think of those smaller houses, like Dua Fragrance and Alexandria fragrances. Some of them have been fantastic.
Managed to pick up Armaf Tres Nuit and Lattafa Asad for 28€ in total, and I'm absolutely delighted with both of them. Even if we disregard the fact that they are clones, the price value for those amazing scents is unbelievable. I can only recommend both 👍

Al haramain is very good. Laventure knight is a beast mode green Irish tweed clone, amber oud rouge is a very good baccarat 540 clone l, and amber oud tobacco addition is spot on to Tom Ford tobacco vanille and it even performs better than the Tom ford.
Gotta give credit this man. Dude didn't flinch at a $300 perfume crashing down, just to give the viewers a closer look at his collection.
Clones when they are done right, are no brainers..the 9 pm an deytour noir are amazing..
Detour Noir smells really great after it sits on your skin for an hour, the pepper, orange blossom and woods keep their structure like a $150+ product. It’s like those paintings that if you look at it up close it’s a little blurry- but when you step back a little, wow, I get it and it’s great!
I promise that Detour Noir is a dead ringer for PDM Payton.....mine just cane yesterday as a backup to my Layton and I cant tell the difference...... damn good!!! 👍🏾

Hi guys, I'd like to get a perfume for autumn/winter, I'm very torn between Lattafa Asad and Al Haramain Detour Noir. Considering that the price is the same, I would like to know which one in your opinion has less chemical or cheap smell and which one has a stronger and more persistent sillage and a general opinion too
Thinking about this. Hmmmn....I think I'd rather try 10 clones than 1 bottle of Creed Aventus. I actually enjoy the scent of Detour Noir better than Layton and at this point, Armaf Club De Nuit Milestone smells superior to the latest batches of Creed Millessime Imperial , and Club De Nuit Sillage isn't far behind Silver Mountain Water. I still do buy designer scents but sometimes it just makes more common sense & saves a lotta bucks to go with something that's 90% there at 10% of the price.

I really appreciate your honesty and insight on fragrances. When it comes to clones I have them but I do have some original fragrances that I think have higher quality ingredients thus it smells better. For example, Dior Sauvage Elixer and it’s clone, Lataffas Assad, it is very close but like most clones it has a harsher chemical base and some clones don’t come close to smelling like the o..g. Yes, collecting Parfums can be very expensive but it’s like collecting shoes , sometimes, you want the original Air Jordan’s and not a knock off. Another way to try perfumes is that I buy decants in 5ml/10ml to discover all the great and awesome scents out there for an affordable price. Again, it can can very an expensive hobby but worth the price if it elevates your whole being, I truly appreciate you for sharing your knowledge on this wonderful journey to the fragrance world.
I definitely dumped more of my money than I should have into fragrances during the latter half of 2022. As a result, I told myself that 2023 is going to primarily be the year of decants. There's only 2-3 more full size bottles that I'm interested in purchasing at this time. Anything else will be a decant. Which, 10ml is still roughly 200 sprays with a bit of variation. If I already have a few full size bottles, an assortment of decants can go a long way

Extra aside, I don't consider something like Missoni Wave to be a clone. If something reminds you of two different fragrances, it's become it's own thing. You wouldn't say the color green is a clone of blue and yellow. There's only so many notes out there, and if the combination feels like multiple fragrances, it becomes something new.
Absolutely, it might share some DNA and even be “inspired by” but it isn’t a clone in the traditional sense.

Dude, that Insense Oud by Afnan was so close to Armouage Interlude. I was shocked they could get it so close, not like how the Kammarah has its own thing but keeps it close to Angel Share.

The projection and longevity of most clone is very good. With my Lattafa Hayati, I get about 12 hours on skin and the projection is beastly.

Zara rich leather the first one in 2018 is the best clone of Ultra Male. Amazing what they did. They did it again with other bottle same name, I risk saying that's even better then JPG ultra male. I have both and I did the test, Zara nailed it, performance's great, like 8h/9h on skin, on clothes day's.
