I bet Nikki is the one behind not wanting to pay him . He thinks he owns .. that band . But Mick named the band Motley Crue , is responsible for the idea of Tommy's rotating drum act , from his past band that did it first . And anyone who knows a little about music , knows Nikki didn't come up with those early guitar riffs Mick played . He didn't even know what he was doing back then . Mick did carry them

Exactly!! I'm sorry, but he sounds like shit now. Yes back in the day he was one of the best vocalists of his time. His voice HELPED make Motley who they are. Just as with Mick's guitar playing. He helped shape the band. They shouldn't be doing this to him. Of all members of the band, he was the most sane.

Vince Neil's performance with Motley Crue is a super intense Rock and Metal extravaganza. It's unbelievably physically demanding. Between songs, and sometimes between verses, he has roadies provide him critical sustenance in the form of ice cream sandwiches dipped in pancake syrup, "Vince Neil Minestrone" (a special soup of bacon fat, chopped hot dogs, cheese whiz, vanilla cake icing and scrapple), and rotisserie chicken. Vince needs backing tapes for his vocals because sometimes he's chewing. I for one, am tired of people who don't understand what a genius and God of rock this man is. Stop the criticism.

Mick Mars did carry those guys for years. He may be struggling with AS, but he still can play just as good, if not better, than any of the other members of Motley Crue. He deserves more respect than what the has shown him as of late. I saw the 2022 North American Stadium Tour when they played Fenway Park in Boston, on August 6th. The sound was "not as good" as it should have been (and that was because in Massachusetts, concert tours are required to use local union sound technicians, and they are not familiar with how the bands craft their individual sound...but that's another issue). Even though the sound was "sub-par", I have to say, Def Leppard was "on top of their game", and put on an amazing show. I cannot say the same for Motley Crew. They were sloppy, they missed notes and chords, and they just didn't sound like you would hope they would, when you shell out big money to see them live. Vince Neil can't even sing anymore. He either forgets the lyrics, or just takes very noticeable short cuts while trying to "get through" a song. Vince, the words are..."SHOUT AT THE DEVIL", not "Shout the Devil"! Even during their performance, I said to my girlfriend..."they should have just stayed retired", because they are all washed up and just don't have it anymore. Glad I got to see the tour, and Def Leppard, just very disappointed about Motley Crue, and shelling out $225.00 a ticket to see it.

My inclination is to conclude that Mic does not owe Tommy, Vince and Nikki one penny in advances and that this rebuttal claim from their attorney is fanciful. It's easy to sympathize with him regarding his position. I have been where he is on an infinitesimal scale. I've never played with any rock band that had real professional aspirations or incentives like Crue unless it came down to classic American cheap talk) but I definitely was in Mic's precise position regarding the obligation to carry other band members whose capabilities were questionable at best and mediocre at most but who got a lot of undue credit for things that I was responsible for. Factor in that I may not have a spinal disorder the way he does but am legally blind, and that gives me more clout to sympathize with him over the others. They were upset that he needed to stop, and they probably attacked him for nonexistent musical shortcomings out of fear that he might do what he has done and blow the whistle on their own inequities.
It might only be a spitball on my part, but I think there is more of a case for Mic than there is for the others or their attorney. From what little I have gleaned about the individual Crue members, Mic strikes me as the one with the least ego out of all four. That makes the notion that this is even taking place much more disappointing and tragic.

Regarding wanting to replace Mick since 87, not sure about this but as we all are not privy to the facts what I can say as a FACT is when MC were convinced by their management to re-unite for the 'Carnival of Sins 1996 Tour' the doco on all of this is on line and available, the band [it seems to me] did EVERYTHING and more to first actually 'find' MM, and then after meetings between all/management it was decided Mick enter rehab/then have a hip operation to bring him back to being somewhat healthy given his spinal condition - but able to start rehearsals and then complete that huge tour. MC at this point were still using Sixx mainly as backing vocals and it was prior to recorded backing vocals being put in place. Anyone can watch the concerts and see Sixx 'is' singing. Vince is physically is ok shape, he was up until Crue Fest 1+2, but the 'End Tour' was both a disgrace/embarrassment for Vince, a bloated arrogant front man who could not even complete songs. Fast forward to the 'Stadium Tour', where Crue demanded stupendous financial payments, and the band they're currently touring with Def Leppard - who have NEVER used backing tracks, DL's bassist/twin guitarists ALL sing, a quirk 'Mutt' Lange taught Collen/Sav with, Viv is arguably 'the' strongest vocally but with Def Leppard you get 100% pure 'live' hard rock. For the 'Stadium Tour' the promoters inserted a VERY strict rider Vince 'had' to shed weight but even now Vince is still imo way overweight - hence vocal tracking on 'some' songs which he simply cannot complete on his own without help.
Speaking as a LLB student and a Crue Head first thing for me is I am disgusted in the way Mick's been treated and I don't need an opinion poll to tell 'me' the OVERWHELMING majority of Crue fans agree with me. Sixx, although a genius as a song writer has always been the 'leader' of MC. Sixx 'has', well over a decade ago admitted the band uses backing vocals, the 2 chicks you see are NOT singing like the original 2 'Nasty Habits', one of which Mick married and has since passed away. Vince and Lee are not smart enough to pull this off, Lee has TDS and never really established social skills as Phil Lewis arguably rightly notes, Sixx also is the same although he's more travelled/marginally socially mature and Sixx is utterly ruthless, and full of shit on key parts of his FF/MC life. One FACT is simple - Sixx has been enamoured with 5 for a decade +. Sixx has always wanted 5 in the band and to me, trying to sort the facts from the spin - Sixx used Mick's physical condition as a pre text. Sixx is shameless. This is the bloke who said if the band ever toured again [after their contract signing] "I would have SO much egg on my face", verbatim quote. I see greed nowadays as the ONLY driver for Sixx and the band. In Vince's autobiography he openly states he'd love "fuck you money". Well, the band now have this with imo Paul Stanley type spin and denial, and pure BS. I 'do' feel sorry for John 5. He's now been thrown into a mess and the entire fan base and world are watching. I just want so bad for Mick's solo project to come out, it has been a LONG time waiting. Apologies ALL for the word length. A lot I kept out but Mick imo is owed fans feedback.

What this all boils down to is, they have tried to oust mick for years! An they had all this planned with john 5... nikki an J5 have been friends for years now.. an they dont want to pay mick for there future tours.. so nikki ,vince, tommy an john 5 have went into the studio to overdub all micks parts.. an writing new album.. hoping this is a way out for them.. but the reality is, they have no choice but to pay mick for every song up to now! Cause hes on every one of them.. so since hes a founding member an owns 25% of the band he has say so, an they hate that! An they have to pay him every time they do a show playing any of the material he helped write an played on.. an its no secret vince, nikki, tommy all pissed away there fortunes on drugs women an booze an thats why they want to tour again!! To pay for all the big houses an divorces and alimony, child support they have to pay an dont want to have to pay mick an john 5.. so for there own greed they are screwing over a long time friend, fellow musician an founder of the band, who without they literally would be nothing!! The only reason they an their lawyers have chosen mud slinging about his age an memory is a cheap an dirty way to take full control of his portion, kinda like a kid taking his parents to court for everything by having them declared incompetent!! An thats what they are trying to do!! An i believe mick! Yea nikki can play, but hes not a very good bass player.. cause hes kinda like micheal Anthony in a way, cause eddie said he used to show mike the parts he wanted him to play, though mike was a very good bass player!! An the parts he played in van halen weren't technically sophisticated he got the job done! An he had his massive vocals! What does nikki have? Hmm? His vocals aren't very good an neither is his bass playing! An id say mick probably did have to show nikki his parts! But all that aside, what they are doing to mick is like alex, Mike, an david or sammy(depends on you ya like)throwing out eddie!! In Motley Crue Mick Mars was Eddie VanHalen!! Often imitated but will never be duplicated! He has more fire an passion than most musicians half his age! I wish that i could play as good as mick on his worst day, much less when hes feeling like fighting rooster at his age of 71yrs old! So my heart goes out to mick, an i hope that he finds peace an happiness through this.. Bless you Mick an long live the legend that is mick mars!!

I honestly don't care. I do take Mick's side, in the sense that he was perfectly capable of performing live (especially in relation to Vince's awful caterwauling), but this line up wasn't going to do any new material, so that immediately disparages them of any relevance. I mean, c'mon, they're basically a greatest hits jukebox now, so why should I care? And yes, I know they want to do new music now with John 5, and that's cool, but DON'T call it Motley Crue.

Great update! Mick owes them $$??!! I don’t know where to start. Mick is known as the nice guy in the band.. the old guy.. the outsider who.. Nikki’s idea I’m sure but still shocked. Mick admitted like 9 years before tgis that he had a great memory. If you get the chance the quintessential Mick Mars 2-3 hour commercial free interview with Eddie Trunk circa 2015 tells you everything about Mick. Although Nikki’s always been a Conniving two faced narcissist I still would’ve expected more well for him not to do that to his Mick who he has tattooed on his thigh I think it’s his right thigh done by then gf Kat Von D As an ode to Nick*** saying I think more people should be like Mick and I think so also personally myself but I think Nikki junky or not has this selfish I am the leader there be no motley Crue without me attitude since 1981 and all the diehards know it. They’re taking advantage of Nick Planet said but because he’s getting old and he was always a pushover which is the antithesis of the other three which kind of makes some work and made the bed interesting. Just watch the movie only in real life is a lot more quiet and for Shredder very humble. That’s why the guys from Aerosmith to the women’s world were not worthy tomorrow because of the respect that it’s like old-school rock ‘n’ roll mentality of the guys who look up to being humble like Jeff Beck for instance and McMorris looked up to. I hope Mick gets his money and I hope the rest of the band get the karma which they probably already got especially Nikki especially especially Nikki you know it’s all Nikki telling the other guys what to do he probably planned a whole meeting with Tommy and Vince meal on how to fuck over the guy that carries them because like Aerosmith they are a guitar band it would be nothing without Mick Who is more relevant than Tommy musically

In the 80s and 90s MC was good not great but good, I enjoyed their sound and tours. (John Corabi actually gave the band some edge to their powder puff style) Never liked Nikki's bass playing, he's highly overrated. Vince's singing wasn't great but has gotten worst over the years, you can barely understand him now. Tommy isn't the best drummer not by a long shot, maybe the most flamboyant but not the best. (Thomas Lang now that's a great drummer)
Mick by far is one of the most talented underrated guitarist of the metal era. He had and has a very unique distinctive playing style and sound. My wife and I were very disappointed w/ the last tour, so much special effects and Vince's lame singing. We grew up listening to MC, but hated that show so much we actually wanted our money back.
You're absolutely right they should've stayed retired, I'm so tired of these geriatric bands who think they still can do it. That goes for Kiss, Aerosmith and definitely the Rolling Stones, Mick and the geriatric troop need to sit down somewhere and play with their grandkids. Oh my fault they're so old their grandkids are probably grown by now, lol.
