Appreciate your efforts to make Memphis look like a bright spot in the mid-south. The greatest attribute is the location for the world market. However, we need to have discussions with city leadership on the crime and security problems that plague the city.
Yes. That may be your area. Not the entire city. Also things change. DC and Brooklyn were bad at one time. People can live where they please but still own in those areas. Lots cost $700 plus in Memphis. Residents can buy them and hold on
Sorry for all the comments. There is poverty and crime in the region but logistically it’s perfect: rail, plane, water, highways, tri-state, big business etc
The Bronx gets a bad rap but is great logistically. Only borough on mainland, food distribution center that distributes across the country, 5 minutes to airport, a high end area on the west side (Fieldstone/Riverdale) that is relatively cheap by NYC standards, diversity, ect. Elon Musk chose Memphis for a reason. It’s not random
Memphis gets a bad wrap!! I’m from The Bronx so I get it. I have two vacant lots in Memphis. I’d like more property. I want to do veteran or parolee housing. Anyone doing that that can give advice?
@@BMD2024problem is when people start jumping on something then it’s out of reach. You have to buy and hold when it’s available. The working people there need to buy
@@SamMcKinley - just go look at the facts. I'm right in the middle of this place and everyday/night there is either a homicide. assaults' or robbery. Memphis is in the top 10 of most dangerous cities' in the world. (Numbeo's Crime Index by City 2024 ). Pietermartrizburg, South Africa is the #1 with a Crime Index of 82.5...Memphis is at a Crime Index of 76.5, one tenth of a percent behind Rio De Janerio. We currently hold the #1 spot in the USA behind St. Louis, Little Rock AR, Baton Rouge La, Oakland and Detroit MI and even Chicago. I live in it and with it, it's a shit hole.
I have never even gone to Memphis. I need to visit. I wonder why Musk chose Memphis. From a NYer or L.A. standpoint; the people from Memphis really Need to invest in their city. You don’t have to live there but buy. It may get too expensive then you’ll be forced to move. I’ve seen it in Harlem, Brooklyn, etc. please !!!
You know, it probably will happen to some degree, but right now I don’t think many see that as a current problem. If anybody feels differently please respond to this and let me know so I can stay up to date
Why do u keep asking this question? U asked this on a different video a few of months back. Why is this so important to u? Let me make this clear to u, Memphis was just named the largest black majority populated city in the country. No, it’s not gentrified.
@@michaelreed4744 so u think the property value can only increase if there’s gentrification? The property values here have increased and we have seen very little gentrification.

Let me suggest you visit before you think Memphis' bad wrap is warranted or not. I can promise you, it's Bronx level or more.
