I see so many youtube channels and instagram accounts with people who just act so inhumane towards their snakes (and other reptiles) like they’re nothing, throwing eggs on the ground because they look infertile (I mean you never know right?) and poke in the eggs and even take the snakes out. I love snakes but I just cannot watch those videos because the people are so horrible. Emily really loves all these beautiful creatures too and she takes such good care of them with Ed!

My ribbon snake Salazar passed away last night 😢 so heart broken. He was showing signs of an RI so booked him into the vets but he started fitting 2 hours before his appointment and didn’t make it 😔. Wish I was closer I would have loved one of these babies ❤️ they are so beautiful x
Once I was taking a walk and I found a wounded garter snake. I was in 2nd grade and had no idea what to do but I knew that it wasn't right to just leave it there. I picked it up and I now see that it was just a baby, it stricked and I flinched but continued to carry it home. My mom said she didn't know what to do, so I looked up on RUclips how to take care of a wounded snake. Your channel was the 1st video I saw,thanks to you that baby garter is alive and kicking we asked an expert later that month where to release him (since my mom said I couldn't keep him/her) and then we released him back home. That day was the day my love for snakes began and it all because of you and stripey (the garter snakes name). So thank you!

Something I've noticed about expectant snake moms is that they look like they've had a LOT of food and now look like they're trying 2 avoid a food coma.
For me it's my dad that doesn't like snakes my mom actually doesn't care but my dad doesn't like animals in general he won't even let us get a dog he only lets me have fish lol. But I just caught 2 baby garters a few weeks ago and keep them in my room and he doesn't even know 😂

They are extremely social, she's mentioned it in previous videos, it causes no stress and makes them happier then if they were alone. ^_^
Garter snakes are very social and actually seem to do better in groups rather than alone. They're one of the only snakes that can be housed in groups.
