I have a question regarding hutch construction. I can't find 1/2" x 1" cage wire locally. Shipping kills. Could I double up hardware cloth for the floors to male them stronger, or is that a bad idea? I appreciate everything you do and teach. Thanks in advance

hardware cloth is a very high gauge and it doesn’t allow the manure to fall through the cage as easily. Hey, a manure will get bunched up and it will make a mess. Plus the wire is a fine higher gauge than the low gauge like 16 or 14 gauge. You can find some at TSC or farm and fleet or you can just use this link from Amazon. amzn.to/49ZJqrv
you can also find more cage supplies in our storefront www.amazon.com/shop/therabbitrycenter/list/1JX4S4TJ49ZOR

Your dearest deers are no longer chemical free meat… when you are spraying chemicals every two weeks. I would highly recommend researching predator and pray cycles of insects. All thos chemical inputs on your land do effect almost everything, even down to the soil microbiome health, water quality. Besides the trees are for the deer after all. When have they ever complained about bug bites on the fruit?

Thanks for taking the time to write your comment. This video shares helpful information to grow healthy fruit trees that will produce a lot of fruit. Fruit trees especially, are susceptible to pest infestation. Utilizing diseased resistant trees and rabbit manure is an option but I’ve certainly experienced more dead trees & a noticeable decrease in production when I didn’t treat my fruit trees. That said, I think you should grow your fruit trees however you want. Thanks for watching.

In my experience, using rabbit manure is easy to handle and very effective. Also it sells much better in our area than rabbit urine.

I believe you said the rabbit urine was a great Pesticide?

@@stevengrange1584 We’ve discussed the topic in several videos and it’s very effective and a hot seller in other parts of the world. Manure is easy to work with. With our system we just use the manure. and don’t collect the urine. My customers buy the manure but have never requested rabbit urine. Maybe things will change one day.
