update installed cores is not working. It says "can't retrieve list" And there is no way you got it to work since they are talking about hacked servers and the updates are lost. Is there a way to update the cores manually?

Extra > check List Contents Click on File > Open, then select the directory of your cores installer file Under SSNE2000, right click cores, extract to your USB. Plug your usb into the ps4, use PS4Xplorer. Data>Retroarch>paste here your cores folder

Sorted retroarch not finding my bios file Schp5502.BIN ps4 retroarch was looking Schp5502.bin (renamed case sensitive). didnt matter on andriod retroarch but ps4 it does by looks. First just want to say this series of videos has been very informative and I appreciate the work you have put into them. A great resource for anyway wanting to jaibreak a ps4. My question is about the online updater in retroarch. When I try and "update installed cores" I get the message "failed to retrieve cores". From what I have been able to find elsewhere this is due to the URL retroarch tries to use to find the cores in the ps4 version no longer being active. I have seen advice saying to change the URL to one at buildbot libretro, but there isn't a ps4 directory there. And I can't find any other option. So just wondering what URL you use for "update installed cores" within the online updater? Or if you know what I could enter to get the updater working? Anyway, Thanks.

Why has the ps4 been so slow with custom firmware, like real firmware not buggy exploits and retroarch support? Man, this system has been nothing like the ps3 was supported. The payload is cached on my regular user, not afraid of console ban but hundreds of legit games, including PS5 games, go bye bye if my main acc gets banned which I prefer to avoid as much as possible. thx Modded Warfare for helping out us offline users as well with the tutorial

It would be so kind of you if you tell me so. I know that I'll have to wait a year or so. But is there any solution? I thought I would completely format my hard drive. Hi possible to share me the core files under data/self/retroarch/cores folder? for some reason I am not able to install the core files and the one got installed from online updater is the windows one I believe because it's ended with .dll extension, my retroarch is looking for the core with .self extension. I saw in your video when you open the core folder, it has all the .self extension core files. Please kindly help as I am not able to find these .self core files anywhere on the internet. @@jacksomness i think i know how to do it. Modded said that the same method can be achieved with every version as long as you gain access to an exploit host with the linux loader for the version. I have a link to an exploit host for 7.55 with a linux loader. If you want it just tell me.

i cant get the games to be detected even after i downloaded the cores. the core downloader pkg did not work for me it kept stopping half way, so i ended editing the retroarch.cfg and updating the core updater http i could download the core from within retrarche but it still wont detect any games
So how does one dump they're disc games on 9.00jb without ftp? I tried the app-dumper to my exfat hdd for a few days now.. No dice. I just wanna dump my Asia disc of Bloodborne to 60fps patch it.

How come ps4 Retroarch doesn't see some of my roms? Specifically the Atari ones...my ps3 sees them no problem with Retroarch and with Webman...

Download the PS4 cores installer it does that automatically and it worked for me

Hi possible to share me the core files under data/self/retroarch/cores folder? for some reason I am not able to install the core files and the one got installed from online updater is the windows one I believe because it's ended with .dll extension, my retroarch is looking for the core with .self extension. I saw in your video when you open the core folder, it has all the .self extension core files. Please kindly help as I am not able to find these .self core files anywhere on the internet. Thank you so much.

@@akhtarjaviero3627 I have tried the 6.72 method and it didn't work, unless I've been doing it wrong. And also I think the payload has to be different since its a different exploit.
@@jacksomness i think i know how to do it. Modded said that the same method can be achieved with every version as long as you gain access to an exploit host with the linux loader for the version. I have a link to an exploit host for 7.55 with a linux loader. If you want it just tell me.

I have a ps4 with 7.02 and it's the first time i jailbreaking it. Do i have to run the jailbreak via the browser on every boot up or is there a way of permanently jailbreaking it so i don't have to do it each time.

I can´t play with Beetle PSX
i cant get the games to be detected even after i downloaded the cores. the core downloader pkg did not work for me it kept stopping half way, so i ended editing the retroarch.cfg and updating the core updater http i could download the core from within retrarche but it still wont detect any games

I installed it in order to play PS1 games but they run too fast! I tried some fixes with the v-sync but nothing worked :(
So how does one dump they're disc games on 9.00jb without ftp? I tried the app-dumper to my exfat hdd for a few days now.. No dice. I just wanna dump my Asia disc of Bloodborne to 60fps patch it.

yes online core updater or core installer not working from inside the app(failing to fetch list),i suspect we need to point (update) to new url do you know how to do this?
