      @@JordanTZacharias very true. At our academy, we spar and sometimes fight it out, but we have a brotherhood that goes deep. Even random people on the street, if they get into a fight, a lot of the time they end up hugging and calling each other friend. I hadn't heard this about Takayama, what a legend. 🍻

    This is so wholesome to see.
    That exchange in the ring was incredible to watch, and I think it’s great that they share that bond together. So sad to see Takayama like that. Frye’s body has a lot of damage as well.

    Don is the perfect example of a professional and good human being, you never saw him showboating in the ring or acting like a street thug and always respected the disciplines unlike all of these fighters now that have absolutely zero respect for anything and act like clowns in and out of the ring. You never saw Don or any of the guys back then Takayma included acting like that. Bless them both.

You see it everywhere, not just the UFC. Don is an old cowboy man, they are a different breed. You don’t change an old cowboy. They are set in their ways and that’s that. I grew up on a farm and was raised by a cowboy. They were taught respect. These days nobody seems to have much respect for anyone. Especially these ufc guys. Connor is the perfect example of that. It sells fights because societies morality is declining. I get that showmanship sells but Connor is the most arrogant little puke out there. So much so that I just love to see him get beat down just to shut him up. But nothing humbles him. These two men in this video are a different breed.

      Absolutely! Frye was a Phoenix City AZ. Fireman prior to fighting full time. He was a beast in the ring but always professional with his opponents. These guys are almost gone, their demeanor is much like teir 1 operators. Kind, cordial, intelligent....lethal. These 2 guys are legends now and forever. So much today is about ego, bravado, and being obnoxious.

    What a great thing to look back at your own life and say "I felt like Rocky Balboa".
    How many people look at their life and say "I never did anything", or worse "I always wanted to be Rocky Balboa, why didnt I try?".
    Its sad what happened to him. And the respect of Don Frye for a fellow warrior is pure class and warrior code.
    Its sad but at least the man knows he went for it in life, he wasn't a spectator but got his hands dirty.
