Oh my fucking god. What the hell is that. It´s like James Holden having an seizure in front of a modular that is connected to the God mind itself. Goosebumps all over the place
Colin! My soul for many years nothing could not so much relax. I like merging with your sounds. The whole day I tirelessly listen to everything you wrote. I am under tremendous impression and from your professionalism (I know what I'm talking about, as I myself wrote when). If you abandon your work, I'll just die).
Hey Colin, cheers from never-sleeping Moscow! - guess all folks start "dancing on the chair" after minute 4 of your Masterpiece - after minute 5 all goes right from Heart to Soul. Bravo to your great talent of being unique and ppl would need your creations to go on and on. Wishing all the best Captain!
This was the first video, I ever found of you last year. This was the reason, I started that eurorack thing. That is the reason, I have this 18U monster living in my basement now and that's the reason, I'm broke. Hope you're a bit remorseful now ;) Thanks man, for the awesome time, I'm having.
The melody grinding up to that top dissonant note is at first just a whisper of sadness, but as the tune builds, it becomes clear it is a heart-wrenching cry of anguish and loss. This is one of the most beautiful and yet absolutely devastating tunes I've ever listened to. From your work and others, I've been inspired to try to put some of my own previously untranslatable ideas in to music. So far the hands-on tools are sending me leaps and bounds beyond the screen-clicking nonsense. I hope to have something worthy to share myself soon
this is overwhelmingly beautiful. I have no idea what I'm looking at, I stumbled unto your channel from related videos after watching a review for the zvex instant lo fi junky pedal I'm ordering for a shoegaze pedalboard, but I love the sound and your passion. thank you for impacting my life
Joe Nobles that lofi junky pedal also comes in eurorack format that he is using for the modular synthesizer he is playing. Probably why it came up on ur feed, algorithms n all
Hey Colin, massive fan of your work. You've really inspired me to start putting together my own system, something which I'll be doing later this month. Was wondering if you could share with me what you're using to create that lovely constant lo-fi sounding pad we hear throughout? Sounds killer! Also, I'm really new to this so sorry if this is a stupid question, but you're essentially running multiple separate voices to create the difference parts right? I see different vco's that I'm assuming each have a different function? Are they all patched into one sequencer to make it fluid? At 9:33 a sort of lo-fi poly sound comes on, what's doing that? Thanks again, can't wait for the next vid!
Listening again on my studio monitors at volume 11 ;) I love the angst and emotion of this piece. The build up. The dissonance that wanders off and then comes back to meet the main thrust of everything time and again. So great. Keep making more. I have a lot of the same gear. Some other things. You are motivating me to get off the couch, buy a few cameras and get to work!
thats exactly what I was looking for. after talking about my work with some friends, we came to the conclusion that my drum sounds tend to be very basic, so most of my focus will be on getting more complex sounds and grooves on that department.
+Colin Benders Innovation is always good, but there is always something awesome about 80's drum machine sounds. Then again, I listen to a lot of synthwave, so maybe it's just me, but I do think they are amazing.
@@ColinBenders the harder hitting jams seem to always benefit from traditional synthesized drums but these more spacious excursions with glitchy and unique percussion... is a whole other kind of vibe. Both are cool.
I keep coming back to this song, it really is starting to grow on me. Great song! Are you planning to release your work on an album for people to enjoy at home?
I'm no pro at all...cant stress that enough, but I think I saw through the comments that these live performances are just that. Idk if he could recreate it just the same.
Consistent, yet chaotic...
Repetitive, yet progressive...
Calming, yet exciting...
This is electronic music at its finest right here.
Oh my fucking god. What the hell is that. It´s like James Holden having an seizure in front of a modular that is connected to the God mind itself. Goosebumps all over the place
It also reminded me of Holden's remix of The sky was pink
Colin you have been the inspiration for my journey into modular, my sound and the start my youtube channel and for that I want to say thank you...
well said man. congrats on your youtube channel and congrats because you earned a sub.
I come back to this when I need it.

This needs a vinyl release
i wish it from about 4 year my dear
I can code and listen to this on repeat for hours...the delusion and productivity. priceless. Colin thank you.
So so good!

There's something of The Sky Was Pink about this. Wonderfully epic stuff.
The universe is eXpanding as this is playing in the background, wish you luck from Greece please we need more music like this in this timeline !
Great! A real live performance without pre-recording - that is what´s needed! Congrats
This is one of the most haunting and engaging pieces of music I've heard in a long while.
Your talent is a gift from God!!

Mighty CoCo 😬 sorry about that 😁
The last sentence wasn't sarcasm btw. ;)
Okay this is fucking incredible. Got a tear in my eye
IN-SANE.
Dude, I'm blown away. Straight to Orbit, and off to space.
Put all these live tracks on an album and sell them so people can support you and listen to your art. Great music!
respect. motivation to keep pushing our modular sound.
this is a guy that truly loves his music and loves what he does. mad props love your vidoes

The best invention of a human beeing was a VCO. Analog music is so unique 😃
This is SOO Good. I keep coming back to it Over and Over. If you Have a recorded extended version of this I'd def buy it. 10 min is TOO SHORT lol
Extraordinary. Genuinely moving piece of music.
Het is zo wicked.. ik heb hem al zo vaak geluisterd en hij blijft kippenvel geven. Wat een prachtig stuk
This reminds me M83 first album. So beautiful

6:30 - Holy thats awesome!! Best live analog performance ive seen.
Thank you Spaced-out Jimi Hendrix, love it!
Sky is pink again, quite more actually ;) nice work
This is so very underrated. This really hits the brain-cells... surreal.
I haven’t been smacked in the face by techno like this since Stephan bodzin back in the day. Really is a journey well done.

I think this is what my dreams would sound like.
ITS SO POWERFUL
sick break at 08:27. You're getting ridiculously good.
Fantastic track.
After watching two other of your videos and then this one, you can see the evolution of your rack, how you've added and moved modules
getting awesome NiN vibes from this i love it!

bedank voor de trip Colin. Gewoon weer als een dirigent bezig maar dan het stokje vervangen voor potmeters. Tof
Seriously incredible...wish I could do that lol
This is tremendously beautiful and rock&dope
It's a beaut Colin, maybe base your next Mayhem around this vibe. I'm down with the doof doof but this is sweet.
All your music is amazing good....you are really expert for analog music. My compliment for you !!!
What a journey this will take you on
Neat! I feel that getting away from 80s drum machine sounds and into this sort of modulation-created percussion is a great upgrade to your sound!

Man... what a skill.
I just went to the end of the universe and came back.. damn
I'm not sure my computer can handle all of this analog goodness. As a matter of fact, i'm sure it can't. Well done sir.
This sounds soooo good.
Love the sounds
That opening sounded amazingly like the spacey-romantic incidental music from the original Star Trek series. lol
Greatest advantage of modular is that click sounds that comes unpredicted and goes to delay reverb
that was amazing
This guy creates a whole world with every song he creates
Some of these sessions in the form of audiophile-grade pressings on 180 gram vinyl would make my ears very happy.
Oh, that is nice!
This is stunning. Seriously, well done.
Some Kind of magic
Bravissimo! Great Artist. Wanna see you playing live so badly.
Just found your album on Apple Music. Hope this track makes it to your next! Love the build and dark vibes...
Fantastic sound!!! Love it.
wow, one of the best modular pieces I've heard.

It begins very slow! Me encanta! It´s wonderfull! A new "National Himn"! Eo eo!
