suppose instead of giving tensile load, you give compressive load to mild steel, will that make any difference in stress versus strain curve?

Yes. Curve will be completely different. That’s called crushing test and for mild steel you’ll not see yield point phenomenon and stain hardening
Hey Ashish, I've got a question unrelated to this video. I'm 18, about to turn 19 soon, and I've failed the JEE once again. I recognize my mistakes; I didn't manage my resources properly and didn't heed my teachers' advice. I pursued my own path without much direction, and now I'm facing the consequences. I've invested three years into this exam, only to find myself in a miserable state. I tied my self-worth to those three letters, "IIT," and now that dream feels completely shattered. You weren't an IITian, yet you worked hard and overcame your struggles. Can I ever shake off this guilt and regain my confidence? Getting into an IIT as an undergrad was my goal, and failing to achieve it leaves me uncertain about my future. Even if I qualify for the GATE exam through hard work, I wonder if it'll ever fill this void. I believe you can offer some guidance. Thanks.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. The 1st line felt very comforting. Not so comforting that it would make me careless and push me in my comfort zone, but comforting enough to make me make me hopeful for the future. For the past 3 years, I've been so obsessed with these 3 letters (IIT) that nothing below that doesn't fascinate me. And that's the exact problem. IIT ke speeches itna obsessed ho gya ki basic and achievable cheeze bhi nahi hasil kar paya.

What you have done for NOC while you were working in BARC , how did you managed for NOC for the interview of ISRO?

11:04 You showed the true stress curve deviating from engg stress curve from the point of ultimate tensile strength but the chnage in are of mild steel rod can be significantly seen after the lower yield point . Why not deviate true stress curve from the lower yield point ??

Bro my aim is become a aerospace engineer . So i gave jee exam to study at iist. But i am not qualified for advanced. I missed by 2 percentile. I won't take a drop. My family suggested me to put aerospace engineering in any government colleges. But govt colleges in tamilnadu doesn't have that course. It only available in private college but i cant afford to pay that much. I have only two option to select
B. E Electronic and Instrumentation or B. E ECE ...

@@ashishtorq on RUclips there are paid channels that are dedicated to the interview preparation But no one is capable of taking the interview of that level especially BARC along with NPCIL , ISRO and DRDO.
Kind request if you can arrange steady material for mechanical engineers regarding BARC etc interview and paid course for interview online practice and guidance .
