KINGDOM HEARTS III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure. Let's be honest, the Secret Movie is WAY harder to explain than the Epilogue was, as there are far less concrete facts we know about. That said, I did my best to state some facts we can say for sure and then shared some ideas, thoughts, and theories that I see being possible! :) Whatever the future holds, we'll all face it together! I completely agree with u. But I don’t think that Sora is dead. I don’t believe it. And I do believe we will play as Kairi in the next game. Especially since I’m sure she wants to save Sora too along with everyone else.

The building that the Master of Masters is on, can be found on Google Maps (distance and perspective in relation to the government building). As it turns out, the Master of Masters is standing on the headquarter building of Square Enix xD

To the people thinking that the next KH game is far away. The reason why KH3 took so long was because of how development was handled. The game really took like 2-3 years to make and release.

The World Ends With Kingdom Hearts
the ending song was a mix of Final Fantasy (Somnus) + KingdomHearts (Dearly Beloved). Yozora also latin for night sky, which is also the FF15 main character Noctis Caelum translation as night sky. The creator for KH3 was moved off FF15 to work on KH3, Verum Rex = True King, which Noctis in FF15 was the true king in the game, prob a way for the creator to say Verum Rex was what he wanted FF15 to be before they changed his original work. The scene with the masters of master you can see both where Sora is beneath where hes standing, and the twin tower building far away.. so Sora and Riku are atleast in the same city. FFv13 was never scrapped, it was reworked into FF15 using the same characters and concept but reworked from KH3 creator's original idea. This is coming from a die hard FF and KH fan.
"Yozora" is a Japanese word meaning "night sky", bro... The latin lemma corresponding to this definition actually is Noctis Caelum.
im looking forward on what VERSUS 13 concept gonna be like in Kingdom Hearts. i bet that NOMURA is still pissed about how FF15 was handled and probably gonna use the Versus 13 concept on KH instead.

Nobody noticed how Sora dimmed, faded, vanished like how the MoM said he would someday and how the MoM and Sora ended up in the same world. Now Verum Rex is Latin for True King and Sora means Sky and Yozora means Night Sky. This constant theme of light and darkness still plays. Who knows, maybe that new world is some kind of “Insomnia” clone since Somnus started playing for a bit. I haven’t completed KH3 yet so Idk why Sora vanished but I’ll find out soon enough.

My theory is this.
Sora ended up in Sibuya after KH3, whether directly because of his abuse of the Power of Waking, or via the Wild Card that Luxord gave him.
Riku used his power of Waking in order to go after him, and ended up in Shinjuku (part of Tokyo, and they are in the same world)
We should note, that the teaser may be way more accurate to the next game because, in all likelihood, KH4 is in Pre-Dev, especially based off of Nomoura's language on Story DLC.
Back to my observations, Sora likely isn't part of the reaper's game because he doesn't have a timer on his hand (likely because he doesn't belong there in either case, worldline or if it's just another world).
And Yozora seemingly is curious, or maybe even knows about Riku.
Its confusing as bleep for sure. Next game I swear I better be able to play as Kairi - they teased me so hard in this one letting me control Riku randomly ... seeing Kairi take out her keyblade but hardly get to fight or fight with her - and also I wanted Kairi and Sora kiss... sigh. O_o;
Sora could very well be a part of the Reaper's Game. Maybe he just hasn't gotten his daily mission yet.
They are in the same world. The MoM shot shows the area Sora is in and then pans and shows the tower where Yozora is on top of.

Shibuya Crossing and the Shinjuku Building (the one Yozora is on and Riku is near) is visible in the MoM shot.
Sora only looks at one of his hands, we don’t get a proper shot of the other. It’s VERY likely he’s part of the reapers game in some form or other, tho this is kh so you never know 😂

So most likely Sora performed the same method of waking he did for his friends after the final world in order to save Kairi. However, in doing so, he "fell into the abyss" as Young Xehanort said. However, he instead ended up in Shibuya to hangout with his TWEWY friends and is actually going to be a guest character in the upcoming TWEWY 2, because that is the game Nomura is working on currently (asides from FF7 remake). So Nomura basically understands that the fans would be pining for our spiky haired protagonist for all the years in between while he works on other games. So he just put Sora into his other game!
Meanwhile, Kairi is back (I have no idea how she got back and how that event screwed over Sora) and she's depressed because her boo is gone. Seeing how miserable she is, Riku goes on his own journey to save his best friend but somehow ends up in the Verum rex world instead. A world HEAVILY based on FF15 or as it was previously called, FF versus 13, a project Nomura was working on. The characters all look like Noctis, Ignis, Prompto, and a brunette Luna/Stella. The world looks literally like Insomnia from FF15. The music playing in the background is EXTREMELY similar to the main theme off FF15 "Somnus". Yozora, the main character, looks very similar to Noctis (and while he has heterochromia, noctis could change his eye color depending on his status) and his name has the same meaning as the Latin name, Noctis Caelum.
Nomura disliked the way FF15 ended up, especially since it was originally his idea. He hated how horrible the fates of Noctis and Luna ended up, something he once stated since he wanted them to have a more beautiful and romantic relationship. Now who in the Kingdon Hearts series looks like Noctis and Luna? Riku and Namine. When talking to Namine in the Final World, Sora names all the people that miss her, except one who he states "someone else special I know won't let you down". The only person who knows Namine well that he doesn't name is Riku. And who picks up our adorable nobody princess at the end of the game prince charming style? Riku. And everyone in the community even joked about how Riku's new outfit and hairstyle resembles Noctis so much. Nomura is most likely going to tell the story that he never got to show us, aka Final Fantasy Versus 13. Whether as it's own stand alone game or DLC, Nomura may show us how he wanted FF15 to turn out using Kingdom Hearts and Verum Rex as a medium.
This is how amazing this man is. He planned for the fans pining in the Kingdom Hearts drought, so he is adding Sora to his next game while explaining his disappearance. And at the same time, after hearing how fans were upset to see how his pet project ended up, he decides "screw the guys at Square, I'm doing this my way." Hes going to show us how the game should have ended up. While setting up for the future of the series, he's simultaneously remaking an old FF game in his vision. This isnt just a great time to be a Kingdom Hearts fan, but a great time to be a Final Fantasy fan! He planned all this ahead of time! Nomura is amazing, and this secret ending literally makes this game perfect!
farhanpwns your take on the events is outstanding and i agree with you however if sora and kairi both didn’t come back what happened? for the sake of conversation it seems unlikely that a big emotional moment between the main character and his love interest (as proven from the frozen and tangled worlds ) would happen off screen. nobody on the beach was looking at kairi and you can’t see her in the background shots that show the area. if you slow down the ending you can see the tree she sits on in some frames but she’s not there
Nomura's Insomnia was based on Shinjuku, which is the ward right next to Shibuya. You can see one from the other in the teaser; they're both in the *same* world. And this isn't the TWEWY version of Shibuya, since all the signs are in a fantasy language instead of Japanese. But it might be the KH version of the TWEWY character's homes.
Red Sparrow i was going off the glowing 107 red numbers. i’ve never played the world ends with you and i thought the two places shown in the trailer were actually the same place bc in one of sora’s shots you can see the two towers riku is near. i’ve seen lots of people talk about the the tower with the 107 being from TWEWU which is cool to see square enix using other games they made as worlds which hopefully means a home world for FF characters. i guess if we see neku teaching sora about the reaper game then that confirms it. also doesn’t this debunk the sora is the MoM theory of the two are in the same area at the same time. unless the MoM is a heart in a coat like Xehanort was the brown coat then maybe it would work. either way i hope we see where this is going sooner rather than later
@@jamison4281 the way Donald is motioning to want to go interact with somebody at the end scene and the way mickey stops him makes me think Kairi is sitting on the tree. Donald looks like he wants to go talk to somebody but Mickey stops him as if he is saying "hey let's leave them alone for now, they need some time". Then they both look at the same direction with everyone else. Now why would Mickey stop Donald if he was just trying to go near the sunset? Nobody was in front of them since everyone is in that same shot. So it means Donald wanted to go talk to this person aka Kairi who he had just noticed.
@@SuzakuX as the person above me said, the number 104 is a reference to TWEWY. There is no Yozora in that game. Also the world that Riku is in looks more graphically complex in terms of architecture. It could very well be the same world just differing locations, which would make sense since both sora and riku know the cast of TWEWY, but then why would Yozora be there? And why so many distinct references to FF15 and versus 13? As I said the architecture looks different in both areas so I'm thinking that they are in different places. Though it could be the Kh version of the TWEWY shibuya as you said, so then crossovers from all those series would make sense.
Sora and Riku are in the Verum Rex versions of Shibuya and Shinjuku, which are inspired in part by the Underground from TWEWY and the city of Insomnia for FFvsXIII. Yozora (the Verum Rex) protagonist is in Shinjuku and the Master of Masters is in Shibuya.
It's not technically the same Shibuya as the one in TWEWY, but it might be where the KH version of Neku came from.
This is by far the most sensible one

Thats what makes the MOM the greatest and most intriguing character for me is the fact that he is so cheerful and funny but in reality is actually the biggest villain all this time

I think the team knows they won't be able to pull that again. I really think they will let Nomura work on KH project as main project rather seeing how it sold in Japan and Worldwide. My issue is with the story, Nomura is trying too hard to make everything canon and he is losing me. Not sure how many people will still put up with the franchise if they keep diving deeper in Chaos.
I will see KH from afar. I am retiring from this Keyblade world, like the story line: I fade away in tbe distance.
they probably delayed things to sort out ideas 4-5 games in advance - necessary to plant easter eggs that are significant later, etc. initial game had material to stretch few more games, and had no restrictions from prequels. should be fine~

When that is done, you will find a way to summon your own Keyblade to then cast off your younger heart after playing KH2. Your nobody and heartless will go on to do mischief but you will let us know where they are through the power of connections.
We will then proceed to destroy them the day of the release of KH3. Thus you will be able to play KH4 before your death and if KH4 takes to long: pause, backwards, repeat.
But I decided it was time for me to join the realm of who-knows-what-element-at-this-point that is Kingdom Hearts. I will join young Eraqus and young Xehanort, and with passion will make them eat those damn chess pieces and use their heads to break the chess table. Because... WTF... All of this drama is just a feud between the two of you? Like how come no one beat them up and demand to know who their sorry-excuse-of-a-teacher master is?

Apparently Nomura just wants to do main games and they began working on kh3 in 2007 until his team got taken to with on ff15 and based on the time frame from KH to kh2 which is like 4 years, I think we'll get it in 4 years
I think it’s Nomura confirming not only a new saga but, a saga where Square Enix series are more prominent. May explain why the only Cloud was just mentioned and that was it for the Final Fantasy cast, and how The World Ends With You is one of the first things we see. Maybe, Sora got lost and winded up there.

ToatzCody not in KH3. I know they were in previous entries but, in KH3 the only FF/SE character mention is Cloud and Auron as the people Hades wanted to join him. After that, nothing else was shown or referenced.
I believe the Master of Masters (MoM) is quite literally Sora's mom, and after ditching her for almost 17 years she has finally tracked her son down to drag him back home.
Ya know,considering how Sora vanished at that ending and possibly never came back, what if Sora ended up in the TWEWY world and has to participate in some sort of REAPER'S GAME? It'd make sense to me as those who play are those who have died and if they win they get a 'wish' or more like a choice, one of which as shown in the game is to be brought back to life! Riku to me I think is there to either do as you said JSkeleton or to find Sora if he never came back from when he save Kairi.
Don't forget, Mileficent&Pete appeared in the epilogue, so Disney will be around for the next saga.
In that case, Incredibles 2 will most likely be a world in the next game! If they can do Big Hero 6, they can probably do Incredibles 2 too.

Okay. So, here's my theory.
I think this talk of "worldlines" that Luxu brings up in the secret reports, is a way of referring to layers of fiction within fiction.
Now, here's what I mean by that.
We know that Yozora is a character from Verum Rex, which is a fictional video game within the universe of Toy Story. Toy Story is a fictional world within the Kingdom Hearts universe, so for Yozora to become a relevant character interacting with Riku in the next game, it must mean that Riku has descended into this fictional world of Verum Rex.
That's simple enough. But here's where it gets interesting.
So, we know that the term "worldline" was also used to refer to the method used by the new Foretellers to spirit away the Dandelions after the Keyblade War. We never really come to understand where it is they went to. Ava only ever refers to it as "the world outside". Originally, this seemed to imply that she meant normal travel to another world. But then, you remember that Kingdom Hearts X/Back Cover takes place in an age where all the worlds were one, so upon reflection, that assumption makes no sense. Unless...
Unless "the world outside" refers to the a world that is "above" the one whence they came, i.e. a realm wherein their world is a fictional construct.
Let's assume we're certain that the Keyblade War did indeed take place in the same "worldline" or realm as the rest of the main series. Then KHUX would take place in an entirely different plane of existence-a space where the universe of KHX/Back Cover is a fairy tale, and nothing more, and that the Dandelions are those who managed to escape outside of the fairy tale into a world that is similar to theirs, but lacking the narrative from which they emerged.
It would be similar to what Marvel comics likes to do-you have superheroes in a fictional realm of earth, but then every once in a while, you have those characters escape into the "real" world within the comics where they can meet their real-world creators.
This would be similar, but in the case of Union X, they haven't escaped out into the "real" world, just to a higher plane from which their comparatively fictional reality takes inspiration, and which is in a sense more "real" than the world they came from, but not nearly as "real" as the real world. With what we're seeing here, it could be Sora and Riku have escaped into a universe that is fictional within the KH universe itself. And in the case of Shibuya, it may be that TWEWY was actually a fictional series within the KH universe all this time, and that's how Joshua managed to get Neku and the others there after their demise (I haven't actually played TWEWY, so forgive me if I miss some contradictory detail that puts a wrinkle in this). It seems that it is also here where we see the Master of Masters (supposedly), as perhaps he escaped into this fictional worldline within the main universe to escape the Keyblade War and lie in wait until the time was right. But of course, traversing worldlines, as we know with Sora, must come at a terrible cost, and it may be this that is preventing MoM from returning to his original worldline. Or maybe he has some ulterior motive for being in this place. If it really is MoM.
So, to summarize my theory: The Union X crew are in the top tier reality, the main Kingdom Hearts universe is in the middle-tier reality within the top tier, and Verum Rex and TWEWY are in one, maybe even two separate, tiers lower within the main KH universe, each lower tier taking the form as some kind of fiction within the larger tier. The fairy tale of the Keyblade War within the top tier reality where the new Union leaders now reside, and the fictional games of Verum Rex and TWEWY within the Kingdom Hearts reality.
Or, it could just be something as simple as dimension-hopping. Who knows at this point?
Maybe the next kh will deal with final fantasy worlds more then disney themed worlds.
The Verum Rex characters are based on FFXV / Versus XIII characters. Noctis, Luna, Ardyn, and Ignis.
What I find odd is that Ardyn is the villain from his game, but in Verum Rex, the character appears to be working together with Yozora / "Noctis"
Its actually a mix of Ardyn and Prompto the same way the "Ignis" is a mix of himself and Gladio.

Her name was Stella, not Luna, in XIII Versus.
I think they said at one point ardyn was supposed to be there as a companion but betrayed Noctis tricked him into killing luna
@@ipwnukazu everybody was still the same in the versus XIII game Arden was still an enemy prompto gladio ignis and noctis were all the same just a darker tone game book better obviously I still like 15 and I still hope to God they don't make a reiteration of the game with different characters because noctis prompto gladio and ignis were great they should just make an alternate timeline of that game where stuff different
The last shot with the hooded guy (Most likely MoM) actually shows that Sora's and Riku Location are tied. You can see Shibuya and also see the Towers from Shinjuku

Kingdom Hearts Volume II: The Master Quest Saga
The fact that the beginning of the song is identical to Somnus from FFXV is definitely not an accident. This is more than a simple nod to FFXV or Versus XIII like others are saying.
I find it very odd and interesting why no one is even mentioning the absence of final fantasy characters in kingdom hearts 3 I think this last cut scene definitely gives me final fantasy vibes so IMA assume they going to find a away and finally give us a final fantasy world with our favs as key blade users to help out in this new realistic threat just a thought.
Because The Final Fantasy Characters stories are well, kind of done. Squall, and the restoration committee have what they wanted Radiant Gardens is back to how it was, everyone is back home, and there really isn't a reason to see them anymore. Sephiroth and Clouds story is something left up to him now and basically KH2 ended with no real need for them story wise. I'd like to see Cloud and some other final fantasy Characters in the future but I'm not going to blame them for not putting them in when there really isn't room for them right now.
There were too many original characters and plot points that needed to be finished in this game. Introducing FF characters in this game would only steal time for the original stories and characters, so it's better this way.

We could have had some of the characters that lived in Destiny Islands, for example, now they'd be grown up as well...or, you know, characters from the countless other FF games, which didn't even have cameos in an FF game, or even from the many games that have come out since KH2 alone.

A little Final Fantasy history for the context of this movie. Nomura, who directed the KH series, also got some roles in directing Final Fantasy, specifically Versus XIII, which was one of 3 games to coincide with FFXIII, the 3rd one being Agito XIII, and all of which were directed by different people (Versus = Nomura, FFXIII = Toriyama (of FFX), and Agito = Tabata (Crisis Core FFVIII)). Each one suffered numerous delays due to problems with their in house engine, and after FFXIII released, the other games were renamed. Agito turned into Type 0 and Versus XIII turned into the next mainline game, FFXV. However, after this rename was announced, alongside KH3's announcement, Nomura was assigned to develop the up and coming FFVII Remake, and thus resigned from his role as director on FFXV, which was replaced by Type 0's director, Hajime Tabata. However, many of the things that Nomura wanted to implement in XV did not make it into the final product as Tabata only focused on getting the game into a playable state when they shipped it.
For the names and characters and such, as well as the importance of them all, the characters in Verum Rex all resemble those in XV/vXIII, those being Noctis, Ignis, Gladiolus, and Prompto. The female is based off of Stella, who was going to be the main heroine in Versus before replaced by Lunafreya in XV. Nomura said in an interview that he views Sora and Noctis as his "sons" in some ways, and their names are similar too. Sora means "sky" in Japanese and Noctis Caelum means "night sky" in Latin; the same as Yozora, which also means "night sky" in Japanese. And Verum Rex, the name of this Versus XIII-like game, means "true king" in Latin.
A lot of people seem to believe that Nomura is still a little salty after being taken away from directing Versus/XV, as it was like his passion project and he was basically given free reign from the higher ups to do what he wanted in that game.
A small correction: Noctis Caelum means „night sky“ in Latin, Lucis means light, e.g. Noctis Lucis Caelum = Nightlight Sky

I think that if versus xiii hadn't become XV, we'd be seeing Noctis in place of Yozora in this scene. Versus XIII was gonna use concepts like dream worlds n shit. He'd probably just tie it all together but now he has to create new characters in place of them becuase of what happened

The book of prophecies the master of masters passed down is said to contain information on dooms day. It's probably going to unfold in the next game since the last few who tried to unlock kh failed
In terms of the music we hear in the secret ending, the first theme is Another Side Another Story which was first used in the KH secret ending with Riku and Roxas. The second theme is very similar if not the same as Sommus from the once FF Versus XII.
Also, the Sommus theme being in the Shinjuku district could be a nod to Versus XIII/XV which the main state and homeland of Noctis, Insomnia, is placed. Nomura is basically remaking Versus XIII in KH to take away the pain from having it originally be turned into XV after he was kicked off that game.
I don't think it's quite that. I think this Verum Rex is basically a mashup of all the things Nomura has created. TWEWY, Versus, but there are also references in there to KH itself.
It's basically "Nomura World" and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's where the KH versions of the TWEWY and Final Fantasy characters in Traverse Town came from.

Thanks for this, it really gave me the backstory of these worlds I needed and gave me more options to what this all could entail. Obviously this is a teaser as u said so there could be very little that is relevant but to see sora again just means to me that his story isn’t over one way or another. Honestly seeing him “die” really was the perfect touch to ending the game in my opinion cuz it hit my feels like nothing else but to know that we may still be able to save him... I’m excited lol also I’m that new game that eriqus made although the only piece we saw was soras piece if it’s still there and he represents the crown then I take it as that’s also an indicator that soras story is far from over.

The fact that the first shot of Sora is him looking at his **hand** is what makes the TWEWY implications just that much stronger with me.
One of the aspects of the world ends with you is that our protagonist wakes up in shibuya with no memories . And the fact they are separate could allude to the combat system where u fought with a “partner “ all alternate planes and that was the only way to beat ur enemies was together

My running theory is that Sora's heart is in a kind of dream state. Riku basically dream walked into Sora's heart after meditating and attempting to follow the connection they have. Sora's heart was lost and pushed to the brink after basically performing nine ressurections and is now attempting to recover.
A full Square Enix KH game would blow my mind. Especially if it has a main story that is dark/serious. As opposed to the lighthearted goofy nature of Disney. Good analysis JSkeleton!
If it’s a realistic new “world line,” then maybe we’ll get to see more “realistic” Disney worlds like Marvel and Star Wars. Maybe they’ll go for quality over quantity, and focus on just TWEWY, Verum Rex, something Marvel (MCU?), and Star Wars.
I mean if they choose to adapt longer stories to justify staying in one world longer, then Infinity War + Endgame, as well as Episodes IV-VI would make great choices.

Just noticed something , the first song played in the movie was a song from FF 15.
Because both games used Yoko as a composer. Musically we had KH (composer) cross into FF.
For some reason I have a feeling he included this easter egg because he didn't get to do the game the way he wanted to with the new engine, if they did change it in the middle of development. (before it became it's own title - XV - instead of staying as Versus)

I think the world ends with you connections might be a misnomer. It's importance is more in placing Sora in Shibuya. Riku and Sora are in modern Japan, which is the biggest take away. What that means is another mystery entirely.
If I had to guess something crazy for fun- Kingdom Hearts is set inside all of its players' hearts. Sora's reward is that he has awakened to the real world, or something along those lines.
It's not the real world. Yozora is there, and that guy has a laser sword, bowgun, and magic spells.
I"m pretty sure it is set in TWEWY or based on that world mixed with Versus X111 mainly for the reason that the one building is called 104. In the real world its called 109 but only in TWEWY have I ever seen that building named 104
Nomura wouldn't show us that exact location in Shibuya if it weren't related to TWEWY. He knows how popular that game was with regards to KH fans.

I want the next game yesterday. I just finished KH 3 and was left wanting more.
Lots of the secret movies in the kh games take place at the very end of the game like the secret movie in two showing birth by sleep took place at the very end of the game so it’s totally possible this movie scene takes place way beyond the point of the next games actual start. The end of 3 also only showed sora disappearing. This could be where he ends up or just the later segment and he ended up someplace entirely different after Sora “Evaporated” as I like to call it

I think they are in some sort of abyss as well. I don’t think it’s the reapers game as they already talked about it in Dream drop. Replaying the game I saw the scene where Riku is in the realm of darkness and there’s a part where the Demon tower sorta swallows him and he begins to drown. I don’t think it ever explains whose talking to him but perhaps if it is the abyss could it be yozora talking? I also sorta think maybe the box has the power to absorb light or maybe is a pocket world of the deepest abyss. Even though they are in a city maybe the deepest abyss takes the form of a city

Another small theory I had was in Regards to this DLC the game say it has coming.
what if it's a continuation of where the ending took place? Sora has to play the Reaper's game to return back to his friends? And in Riku's came, some new problem has be detect in a new world which is why he ended up in the Verum Rex world. That problem being what the master of masters is planning. and while doing this, Riku is looking to find a way to save his Best Friend.
Either way, Just another Theory I had.

The music that plays during the movie near the end is the theme for insomnia the city of noctis from ffxv / vs 13 which is based on Tokyo with the government towers being the royal palace
I think there is some DLC around the corner. Not sure how soon, but maybe tying together how we got from the “Sora looking for kairi” scene to the ending beach scene. I need to brush up on the rules of the Reapers game to see how everything could tie in.

What would be most important to Sora? I'd venture to say its his connections to his friends. This could be why no one seems to notice that he's gone. Except Kairi who's always had some extra power with regards to that (a la her being the first to remember him in KH2).

I won't make any theory. I just watched and boarding the hype train one more time.
My biggest question is just wondering when will we see more content and how long will this next saga last. Because if it has the same track record as the dark seeker saga then it'll be for another +10 years on half a dozen different consoles to play and 5 rereleases of it just to stay caught up with it all. I'm not saying they need to give us the conclusion asap, but don't take another decade to conclude this story. Take your time, but not too much because we only have so much patience.

Yep exactly what I was thinking, maybe Sora recovered Kairi as reward for being in one cycle (she was his price) and he probably has to do another because going home is another entry fee. (kinda like Neku in his home game waking up repeatedly in the same, 'but different' Shibuya subworld [to it's overworld - where they ended up in the end, Neku and Co.] where he had to repeat playing for a few weeks, in the game, to completely end that game cycle)
As far as I can think of for Sora, not really sure for Riku. (I really hope the above isn't also true for Riku - as a theory)
I actually did a bit more digging giving credibility to him being in the Reapers game.
If you listen closely, the very first tune is actually the theme of the final world, which you only heard after Sora died the first time. This implies that after saving Kairi, Sora died from overuse of the power of waking but ended up in the Reapers game, likely as a chance to get his life back. Riku probably ended up in the same area looking for Sora.
DarkDreamT2 You got it spot-on. I believe that the world of Yozora is some sort of afterlife world. It could also indicate where the Master of Masters has been at all this time. He was probably hiding in the world of Yozora, waiting to be brought back by Luxu and using the Gazing Eye to see any event that unfolded in the KH universe. Possibly being in a different worldline, that could also explain why people in the KH universe claim that the MoM just vanished into thin air. It was because he was in a completely different universe altogether.
As rikku's walking near the end of the trailer and zozoras watching him it plays somnus from Final Fantasy 15 and versus XIII so I do think that Sora is in the world ends with you and Riku is in some form of versus XIII.
And you didn't mention this in your video I was surprised I thought you would mention this because you mentioned the dearly beloved and it's right at that part that's somnus Blends into dearly beloved.
I honestly thought for a second that Sora and Riku were gonna be in Jump Force
