Hello everyone! Thank you for returning for another instalment of doll customising.
I was part of a Halloween Collab hosted by Splendidmicellany on Instagram! The theme was Vampire’s Ball, a party for the supernatural! I was so excited to take part in this collaboration, because making Vampires is so fun! The fanciest Vampire I know is Lestat, so I was very glad to make him.

Interview with the Vampire is my FAVOURITE book (and movie!) and one of the only movies I can stand Tom Cruise in 🤣 he looks absolutely gorgeous!

I’m a kpop fan and ARMY and I’m actually really glad to see people using their dolls as bases for art!! Music is art, doll customizing is art. The arts inspire and interact with one another and that is beautiful!
I’ve seen some people customize them to look more like the real members, which I love, but seeing them made into other characters/people is just as interesting. I actually really like the body mold for the BTS dolls compared to most other masculine-body type dolls, although they aren’t perfect they are better than many others IMO. Definitely make a very nice base, and with the variation in face type for the different members you can make all sorts of unique expressions and characters!
I absolutely agree! I do like their sculpts! And the factory versions aren’t perfect, which is fine but their face sculpts are spot on. I was so happy to use J-Hope as a base, because it’s one of my favourites 🥰 thank you for this comment 😍
what a genius mashup of hair techniques, i've never thought to partially reroot and partially glue. definitely saving this video for future reference. incredible work as always

I am so glad you are encouraged! All artists struggle with something, even something they’ve done again and again! Sometimes your hand doesn’t want to cooperate with your brain 😂🥰
So happy you created a Lestat doll! That's one of my favorite characters of all time and you did an amazing job. I had a friend who actually got the chance to meet Anne Rice and had a little tour of her home before the hurricane. She had those giant dolls of some of the characters and he saw them which must have been a really cool experience! ❤

He's so whoo he's fine (oh my soul I'm I'm simping on a doll aah). I love his ruffled shirt the most idk why but its like even more dramatic than the original in my opinion which is excellent 😌👌and it's just so cute. I'm so on the hunt for theses bts dolls for customs since ever after and monster high boy dolls are so so rare nowadays well in my search.

You are an amazing artist. Seriously. I love your version of Lestat even better than the original and I had the longest crush on Tom Cruise's Lestat. I'd go nuts if you decided to make any other charcaters from Anne Rice's books. Excellent video! 🖤💜

Hahaha I’ve not heard that one before! Thank you! I know that feel, I’ve got them all and repainted Suga and V so far, I have five more to go 😰😂 I’m glad no ones mad about it though
@@DiamondzaCraft i have all 7 still boxed and am working on getting another set to open (i have jimin, yoongi and jin, but both my jimins had damaged boxes and made me mad) so that i can make stage outfits for them and display them later on. big project is recreating jungkook and jimin's black swan outfits with the corsets and wings.
@@neamhcridhe6475 oh I would love to do that! I have repainted Suga and V so far, and I wanted to make some of their music video outfits and hairstyles 😁 I’m still yet to make them hahaha
@@DiamondzaCraft i have yoongi's iconic silk outfit from blood sweat and tears....except in mint fabric because its what i had and his mint hair was one of my favorite looks on him. Also made his maid uniform but i need to redo it since it was the second outfit i ever made and looks horrible lol.

Guess i wasent the only one that used the jhope foll for a vampire inspired look. He has the perfect skintone and face mold for it. Loved your video btw
He is perfect! It was definitely worth starting over on the eyes so many times since they turned out amazing in the end. I like drawing and painting, but I am not a talented artist by any means, so I perfectly understand the struggle. Sometimes it turns out good on the first try and sometimes I just give up for the day after the 10th try and start fresh some other time.

I really love that you don't use a 3d printer (I know its likely because you don't have access to one) because it makes your work much more accessible to the public like we could do it as well.... kinda like Dollightful's earlier videos.

This video ALONE made me go and read Interview with the Vampire. I never seen or read the movie nor the show. I watched this video because i was in search of ideas for doll customization. You seemed so passionate and i was in a "fuck it why not" mood and found an audiobook version on it on youtube. I just finished it and holy shit. I cant believe i listened to a whole book because of this video.

i don't have the talent, or confidence to even attempt face ups or other doll customizations....so i am sticking to learning how to sew doll clothes instead to make stage outfits or other random ideas that come to mind and to hopefully sell them and do custom outfits in the future.
he looks amazing and jhope was the perfect base for him. look forward to other creations you come up with.

He looks fantastic! And honestly, it's kinda cool to see the mistakes. I feel like a lot of artist youtubers dont show their mistakes, and that can sometimes give people an impression that they must never mistakes and lead them to feel bad about their own mistakes. But they happen, and theyre super common, and videos like this where you show several attempts let people know that its pretty much all fixable. Idk, i just think it's nice to see. Anyway, great video!
That is the thing, you can’t learn from your mistakes if you don’t make them! And I’m not perfect, sometimes my hands just don’t want to do what I tell them haha! So I may as well show that, and show it can be overcome as well. I think that’s coming off a bit preachy 😭😂 but I wish someone had been this real with me when I was younger
I used a J Hope doll to make a Terzo Emeritus doll, so I love this!

I actually sat my fiance down to watch this with me, since he is a Lestat fan. I have never seen him so in to a doll art video as he was with this one! Love the techniques used! The outfit is just gorgeous. The hair was inspired 😊 I also really enjoy seeing male dolls used for art. He turned out so well! And that coffin doll box 😆 I love your editing style, by the way. You have such a great screen presence!
When BTS dolls were on clearance over here I bought as many as I could afford, because their body molds are just wonderful, in my opinion. I was thinking of possibly shaving parts of the arms for more range, and after seeing you do it and working, I am less hesitant I will destroy mine, lol. Hopefully you didn't cut yourself too badly.
