It's really insane that even Hogan and Prichard, two of Vince's biggest ball-lickers (shout out to DEADLOCK) were like "Yeah, no, Vince McMahon and Mr McMahon are the same person.". Probably the only time I've ever genuinely agreed with Bruce Prichard in my life.
Still fucking INSANE that Vince wanted to do a storyline where he was the one to impregnate Stephanie, HIS DAUGHTER!! Thankfully she turned this idea down
Ric Flair and David Flair did the same storyline in WCW, but it was Ric Flair who impregnated David Flair's girlfriend Stacy Kiebler. It was stupid in WCW and it would've been stupid in WWF if they would've done it.
The documentary was more towards the average wrestling fan not the ones that know everything. It’s for the Netflix people searching for a new show. I feel like it did it job in that respect
I totally understand the more knowledgeable fans/historians feel this one is just mid, whereas I felt it caught me up to what happened after I stopped watching during the Attitude Era (by 2002, I grew out of wrestling) and provided a decent overview of the industry from McMahon's POV from himself and others that worked/knew him. There are no doubt more in depth and better produced ones elsewhere (Dark Side Of The Ring is an example of this).
This documentary was kinda mid I'm not gonna lie I feel like it'd be better if I wasn't a wrestling fan but as a wrestling fan it was the equivalent of telling me "The pencil is wood"
@@samxdy5563and I mean that's one of the things that this documentary is really good for, it gives the people who don't know a lot about wrestling the primer they need, and I think it shows pretty well how bad of a person Vince actually is, though it is worth noting this is probably the sugar-coated version of events, they're kind of trying to show both sides of the story and they also just can't talk about the Janelle Grant stuff very much, because the court case has been suspended while certain things are still under investigation
25 years later and I still can't process Owen Hart's death and the harrowing footage of his friends and co-workers having to wrestle in a ring stained in his blood. If that wasn't bad enough, he was a complete and utter bastard to Owen's widow when she filed a wrongful death lawsuit. Owen was such a beloved figure in the industry and to have his legacy defined by Vince and WWE's negligence is heartbreaking.
You can tell how big of a wrestling fan Vince is. He cheers the heels, he knows they’re not actually like that irl, they’re just playing characters. (He respects them in ring)
The editor missed the moment to put part of the segment between Mr McMahon and Mr America, where he says that he only thinks about himself, that he is a pervert, etc.
The part where they say Vince was like a father figure to people reminds me of the cm punk interview where he said "He always wanted to be a father figure. I just said 'I already have a father. Go away.'"
I think us as outsiders with hindsight can say that they shouldn’t be defending Vince, but to them he created their dream, hired them to their dream, paid them greatly and manipulated their relationships to feel like they’re dependent on Vince and what he did for them
Crazy how in the documentary damn near everybody except Bret was talking fairly good about Vince….shit was very weird especially when Trish was talking about her time in the business
I feel like this started off as just a pro WWE doc to start moving WWE content to Netflix to introduce WWE to the wider Netflix audience and then all the Vince stuff came out and they shifted the doc to fit more current events and marketed that way because the XFL, WCW takeover, and Cody's inclusion all together etc were pretty worthless. Because you can get better summaries from Dark Side of the Ring.
I feel like vince was mr. McMahon has the boss. Like he was the character even backstage. Once he got back home is when he dropped the gimmick. But when your mostly at wwe. Its going to bite you in the ass with him as that character...
He fired him years later because shane abused his power. Shane deserved to get fired for putting himself over the active wrestlers who are there full time.
It's kinda disturbing how quickly a lot of wrestling fans just collectively forget about this shit and go "We want Lesnar back!" or "Vince made our childhoods!"
@claudiukulcsar456 When he SA several woman was that 4 the good of the company? When he forced Ashley Massaro to wrestle with a broken arm and did not care that she was SA on an army Base, was that 4 the good of the company? I am so tired of you "fans" defending monsters like Vince! There is a difference between. Doing what's right 4 the company and doing something selfish and disgusting 4 yourself! I only watched the last episode cause I knew it's all a joke. He's clearly guilty and he doesn't do himself any favors. Besides him already looking like a joke with his drawn on eyebrows and mustache, I just can't 😂
It makes me laugh because when they talk about the father-daughter storyline vince is repeating "I think...." too much and we all know he doesnt "think" he damn well "KNOWS"
Bras n panties really were all over tv then, your young different times had different norms brother. I hate that guy but hes definitely right. The Owen thing continues the show is DISGUSTING
Powerful men and women lest we forget. Do some fucked up shit. Why? Because they can. They are in a position that many times allows them to. You want to know who you really are? Get a lot of money and a lot of power to go with it, and it will show you who you really are.
You think this documentary will place his accusations in the mainstream media ? Because everybody’s stuck on the music industry right now and this is old news
It doesn’t make sense with the texts messages either. I get she exposed him but…. In a sense he didn’t touch her. I suppose it’s technically sexual harassment.
Does anyone else think the girls lying about Brock? Like she’s so gorgeous this international superstar signed a below market contract for the promise of a night with her ?! … really?
The show must go on after brett death 😮 reminds me of a boss of a butcher shop , one of the older butchers had a heart attack n died while serving a customer. Paramedics were called as were available doctors in the shopping centre ... The boss is notified the response is keep on serving customers he behind the counter jus step over him, he'll be right its already over .. WTF... His business didn't last much longer after that
At the end of the day, Vince was the WWE's foundation and without the foundation, we can build on top of it. Take away Vince and you take away everything that made the WWE what it is. Deny it all you want, that is a blunt ended fact.
Lol we don't even know a percent of the real bad stuff that mans really done an never gotten caught for or thats come out. That guys a real pos person hes a business only guy and whatever is best for his ego, everything else who cares, get em ss cheap as possible, working as much as possible, if she wants a job same for her PLUS has to stay in my hotel room w me an Shawn Michaels! Ya but… why would Vincent want to take the fall for that… pretty no one would.
Steve probably gave Debra a few concussions, that's why he doesn't believe in CTE.
And every other ex-wife he's had.
I literally just typed up "Vince McMahon documentary review," and this just dropped. Thank you, lad
Anytime! 🤠
There is a *very* distinct difference between the first and last 3 episodes of this series, so I'm glad you started the video saying what you did.

He never misses the goat DDJ!
thing they never discussed is how Stephanie actually put the knife into him, where Shane could not.
