So by checking stuff, I found out that they uploaded first half of the season because of the leaked 6 episodes that happened due to terrible Netflix security. So originally it was planned to be broadcasted at summer, but being afraid of losing audience / hype they decided to show first half earlier and then finish second half till summer. Thankfully all the people were respectful and ignored leaks and patiently waited for official release. Surprising to see internet being collectively nice once in a while. Thats why episode 12 feels like a part of unfinished season. I hope that information was useful to anybody. Edit: For people that say that anime was announced at october, while leaks happened in August. Leakers to stay safe dont upload information at the very day they steal info, because company (in that case Netflix) keeps their eyes everywhere to find who did it. When episodes were stolen they decided to realease anime earlier than it was planned originally, while at same time leakers were hiding to upload stolen episodes later for their own safety. In comparison when somebody robs a bank, they stay hidden for couple of months, because if they'll start spending money, they will definitely be found. Leakers work pretty much the same, because what they do is illegal and better not be appreciated. I believe this situation is a little different from that. There's absolutely zero chance they started animating after season one dropped because the teaser had quite a bit finished. They almost certainly had started preparing animation for an early drop before season 1 even released. That's why it has such an early release window of mid 2025, most seasonal anime takes around 2 years to release the next season, not 7 months.

i cant wait till my anime brethren see how turbo granny popped off in the manga i hope they do her justice her scenes are too good. She reminds the audience shes one of the top yokai and at the same time gives them reason to sympathize and love her almost looking at her like a regular granny. Omg the bonus panel with the cat and turbo granny, Where my manga readers at? almost made me shed a tear lmao.

THEY DID JIJIS EVIL EYE TRANSFORMATION SO WELL THEY EVEN HAVE THE MULTICOLOURED EARRINGS this. Is genuinely one of the best anime adaptation I've seen. Also side note I never thought that the first spirit attached to evil eye had white hair but now that I see it I think it's a really good colour choice
