Japanese music in video game are 🔥. I remember getting the original xbox for Christmas as a kid. And the first game i played was Jet Set Radio Future. Til this day I still listen to thag soundtrack.
When they anounce that creepy nuts will sing the OP for Dandadan the duo gave a cameo on the same weeks manga chapter (158-159) as 2 dudes who happen to be in the background then when one of the characters sang they supported her and with rapping and DJ setup on the back of a truck.
People, not just Creepy Nutz, japanese music deserves to be global, their songs are full of spirit and you can hear their heart pouring out from the melody and lyrics.
Blame Japan themselves for making their media inaccessible to outside audiences. Japan had the potential to be even more influential than Korea’s Korean Wave but had no real interest in increasing their soft power using cultural media - their “Cool Japan” failed because it didn’t recognize the important transformative power of “individual agency” of Japanese artists (as opposed to he heavily commercialized and manufactured k-pop industry) and so funds that would have helped the artist was lost to corrupt organizations that didn’t even bother to open the market internationally
anime has a bad reputation with the people that typically watch and listen to the music unlike kpop fans which tend to be more teen girls. Anime watchers and song listeners tend to be older men that fantasize about japan be better in every way, which is why people think japanese music is associated with weird people.
Creepy nuts are like the Japanese madvillain. One of the greatest producers and one of the greatest rappers from their respective countries coming together to form an outrageously good duo
Saw a tweet yesterday that said user "Dankidydan" from Dandadan's subreddit found the pikmin sounds in Dandadan opening were original samples which was from a 1915 song by Billy Murray titled "I've Been Floating Down the Old Green River" It's crazy how the fandom finds stuff like this as well as Creepy Nuts using samples like this. I found out about Creepy Nuts from Call of the Night, it is kind of sad the anime barely gets mentioned maybe because its just one of my personal favorite chill animes.
Back when 'Call of The Night' first aired, I found myself replaying the songs over & over, again. I had no clue as to why they were so catchy. It made me want to learn the lyrics, which I usually don't care to do (unless the song is useful for vocal training). Creepy Nuts are on to something amazing.
Shout out to Lisa, Eve, The Oral Cigarettes, and The Library of Ruina for making my childhood Fanatic and wonderous. Applause to Creepy nuts for expanding my adulthood with bangers to come.

@@bricekim I agree with the second part, but Swifties aren’t minding their own business. They’re one of the most crazed Fandoms up there with K-pop Stans. Creepy nuts is literally just an amazing band, the DanDaDan opening is absolutely fire though. It's not only perfect for the anime, but it's also a good song in general, as well as keeping a consistently interesting beat to go with the music. Otonoko really sends out amazing vibes and I love it
3:42 same here. I had never heard of them before the anime, but the moment I listened to that song, I instantly fell in love with their songs and have been a huge fan ever since.
Call of the Night was the biggest vibe I ever caught from anime, largely because of the opening and ending tracks. I’ve never been big into music or have cared about following an artist until Creepy Nuts broke into my conscious and took hold of me
I still remember one eve last year I was looking for a new anime and found call of the night randomly. The art style looked sick so I started the first episode and immediately when I heard the first few seconds of the intro I had to shazam it and ended up watching all episodes of the anime in one go. Since then Creepy Nuts was omnipresent in my playlists because besides the anime OPs they have so many more awesome songs. Admittedly I like the Dandadan song a LOT more, even have it on my "Liked Videos" list which I use as playlist in general. The song just... makes sense to the ear. I also just love the melodic elements to it and how it doesn't take itself serious, yet being very creative. Idk man. A lot of people don't know this but Creepy Nuts is actually a huge fan of Asian Kung-Fu Generation. The same band who wrote the legendary openings for Fullmetal Alchemist, Bleach, and Naruto back in the early/late 2000s. There's even a tribute cover of them rapping over AKFG's Rewrite track from Fullmetal Alchemist.

Have to check out their tribute - thanks alot, kind stranger 😁 Although Creepy Nuts also remind me alot of Orange Range and Home Made Kazoku. Similar vibe like those two, but Creepy Nuts somehow amplified this vibe thousandfold 😂
As someone who loves Creepy Nuts, I think you should go easy on the "they created/invented this unique sound", especially when it comes to the 2 songs you cite as examples in your video. Respectfully, I'd invite you to broaden your musical horizon to see how they, most likely, drew inspiration from West African and/or Caribbean music, especially for that guitar in Otonoke. Cheers!
Great vid! I first heard about them from call of the night anime which was awesome by itself but the music really worked well to set the vibes. Loss time is my favourite, it's so beautiful.
taylor … deez creepy nuts i fucking loved them ,each song is so different from the last,i have them on loop so many times my wish is to see a concert of them
I'm not sure how anime OPs are usually made, it feels most the time they are just songs that are attached to a show, but for every song that Creepy Nuts has put to a show it really seems like they take it really serious to take the themes and identity of the shows then use what's relatable to themselves to make a song that both celebrates the show and true to their own style. (well that was a long sentence) For the first anime tho it slightly different being a show that was inspired by their song, but then they work on the show with more music.
I fell in love with their music after hearing it in call of the night and I'm so glad they are getting more western recognition now that they've done some songs for more mainstream anime. When I first heard Losstime in call of the night, I remember it completely transported me into the world. They've got a ton of good stuff and they are amazing making their music fit the anime it's for in really unique ways.
i love them so much ,i saw them like most with call of the night at that time i had some problem in my life but their music keep me alive .I love that each of their songs is different and engaging in their on way
I don’t keep up much with anime anymore, but I just found Creepy Nuts through Extremely Inappropriate. Interesting that RUclips is suddenly suggesting this video to me after I’ve had Nidone stuck in my head the past few days😂

I managed to catch on to them when Call of the Night came out and loved them. What's surprising though, is that it was the second time a weird anime about vampires introduced me to an amazing japanese band. The other was the anime Vlad Love. The second op is set to Winds of Transylvania by Lovebites.
Yofukashi no Uta was so good for me that I ended up buying the manga, and holy shit, the story becomes so good right after where the anime finished, also, both Daten and Losstime are such bangers. I once drove while Losstime was playing during the night and it was soooo good.
Yofukashi no Uta totally grabbed me because of my own love of the night and the atmosphere of a city at night. I loved the eponyme ending song and that's how i fell into the Creepy Nuts rabbit hole ! I think the last time i had such an interest for a japanese band from an anime opening or ending was either BRADIO for Flyers (death parades'op) or Home made Kazoku with Shounen heart (eureka seven's op)
Losstime is prb my favorite Creepy Nuts song. And Yujin A, i think is their most underrated song. I can't stop listening to these two songs in general and it's been like 2 years now since I've discovered them.
i think the trend is people in the west becoming bored with the trends in pop music we have here, so the attention is slowly shifting to international artists who can bring something new to the table that we've never heard before.
Daten, the call of the night opening was my first creepy nuts song I heard and I adored it. I replied it so many times and had to listen to the other music in the soundtrack. When I replayed those songs over and over I had to look at their other music and it’s just as good. I’ve only just recently learned how their lyrics are so impactful and have meaningful lessons. One of my favorites is I think drugs and sex and rock and roll and talks about instead of getting pleasure from drugs and sex to get high of music and it’s really goofy and charming. I adore Creepy nuts
I like how they made the most popular op of 2024 then a few months later just did it again

Creepy Nuts be like:
Do you want me to make a banger?
... Do you want me to do it again?
Fell in love with creepy nuts when I watched mashle.amazing fun songs and music.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that's obsessed with Losstime every time I go out when its dark I listen to the song and it transforms the night for me!
Creepy nuts is definitely my favorite music group, wish I could have heard of them before call of the night
i think the trend is people in the west becoming bored with the trends in pop music we have here, so the attention is slowly shifting to international artists who can bring something new to the table that we've never heard before.
よふかしのうた will always be THE call of the night song for me.
I adore Creepy nuts
no one ever mentions call of the nights opening was done by creepy nuts, and its an absolute banger!
I did not expect a randon James Ward Prowse easter egg
They are the reason why, now, I have anime songs in my playlists
