I love my 2005 Nissan Armada LE 5.6L. I bought it new with 4 miles. It is now 2021 and 273,000+ miles later, I love it even more. The best vehicle that I have ever owned and I feel ever made.

I bought a used 2005 Frontier Nismo in 2015. 50k miles later it is the best vehicle I have ever owned. In another year it will surpass our 2002 subaru(our back up car) on reliability and upkeep costs. Looking to upsize, though, and maybe add an Armada. If I get something else it will probably be because of the lousy mpg.

The Armada went on sale in 2004 but was labeled the Pathfinder Armada.
Horsepower was bumped from 305 to 317 in 2008 due to VVT being added to the intake side.

My dad bought a 2010 in 2010 and drove it until 2019 when he relocated to the US. in 2020, he purchased another 2015 armada and is currently driving it just to speak to the satisfaction we had with that truck. Driven it through middle eastern deserts at 130+ f and in Minnesota in sub -30f. All In all, decent truck without the extra bells and whistles of modern trucks that are not functional. Gas hurts but oh wow!

I am obviously bias here, but I really do think it looks the best out of all SUVs that are within its category modern and older. Just something about that hanging rear diff gets me every time!

I have a 2012 Nissan Armada Platinum. It is Identical to this one. I have had it for around 9 months. I love it! It handles well and has plenty of power when needed. I am sold on Nissans. My wife has an Altima I have my Armada. I would trust either of them to go anywhere no questions asked.

I have a 14 Armada SL and love it. The savings in purchase price more than offsets the minor difference in mileage compared to the Tahoes, Expeditions, etc.. Mine has right at 145k on it, bought it a year ago at 132k. I have done the maintenance on it and done several long trips in it. Of the vehicles I have owned, the only thing that rode and drove better might be my escalade. Even that would be minimally better if at all. It has creature comforts, a great Bose stereo and convenience features. It does not have all the techie stuff other brands do, but it is rock solid. The thing that I notice is its quieter at 145k than domestic vehicles are at half the mileage. No rattles to be found. The engine does not use a bit oil, plenty of power and it is geared for the highway. I think it is about 1850-1900 rpm at 80. The thing is a road beast for road trips. Can't say enough good things about it.

I have a 2013 Armada now. I’ve had it for almost 3 years now. It was mechanically beat to hell when I bought it. I made the dealership eat all of the repair costs as they tried to rip me off. After all of it got fixed, it’s been a really nice family vehicle. The rattles in the interior are a little nerve racking and the door seals are needing replaced. It’s a platinum 4wd with only 91,000 miles on it. I will say it is the smoothest power train I’ve ever driven! Good power from the 5.6 V8 and the transmission is butter when shifting. 317hp with 385ft lbs of torque.

The 2016 and later Y62 Patrol-based Armadas are a better buy if you're willing to spend a bit more. They're actually made in Japan with a much higher build quality and overall better reliability, but still depreciate pretty heavily and can be had for under 30k if you dig around enough. Best value in the full-size, body-on-frame SUV segment at the moment.

Drove one for about 6 years - pro's bullet proof strong running - steering was great - tough vehicle, never broke down owned it from 70K miles til a lil over 200K, until hit in a minor accident - got the body shop to total it - didn't want to repair due to age and mileage - worth more totaled than resale - Sold for more on co-part than trade - Cons - cam shaft sensors stayed on during whole ownership - could never get them to go off so always had a check engine light on for 6 years - dealer wanted to replace engine for 6K - Blower relay burned out every few months - was always red hot - never could find the issue - heater went out - no one could ever find the issue - Big issues - really bad blind spots - countless times of nearly getting into accidents changing lanes - vehicle was not stable when hitting irregular surfaces and was hard to control - scary on the highway in wet weather - front brake rotors would warp and chatter after about 15K miles like clock work - turned the rotors - happened again with pads still good - 2nd brake job replaced everything - new rotors did the same - car would shake when brakes were gradually applied - common problem from the forums - Replaced the Armada with a GX460 - like the Armada outside styling much better than the Lexus - but the build quality, handling, ride and overall is way above the Armada.

I recently sold my 2004 Armada. All over plastic pieces started to crack and break. rubber seals at multiple places rotted and replacement for all to just upkeep the looks and integrity of vehicle was not worth fixing. Also has famous exhaust manifold crack issue that WILL happen and not covered by Nissan after emission warranty expires. Brake Booster issue is another drawback. 2004 had brakes from Pathfinder and they were not big enough. I really averaged 10/11 MPG with 4WD. Overall, it served me fine for 170K miles.
