  • Not all swimbaits are created equal! Today we're comparing how different swimbaits move in the water. We're looking at how different head styles impact action, and when each swimbait's movement style will help you catch more fish!
    Finesse swimbaits are awesome! They catch large numbers of fish, but they catch giants too! It wasn't long ago that there were only 2 styles of finesse swimbait on the market... today it can take up an entire row at your local shop. So what's the deal? Which baits should you be using? And does that answer change throughout the year? Let's find out!
    Below you'll find links to the exact baits and heads Tim discussed in the video. We've included our favorite sizes and colors for each, as well as some of our favorite combos for fishing these lures. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of each item.

    Hey Tim very helpful I know you're going to think I'm a knuckle head but in the past I just can't seem to ever get bit on these swimbaits. Maybe because I'm bank fishing but I don't see how that would matter.but anyway I'm going to get a little two seater boat from bass pro shops and a trolling motor and a mini power pole and a fish finder. But thank again for all this great information. GOD bless you and matt's families your pal fisherman Mike from Missouri.

    I have falling in love with BFS fishing. My favorite rods are Megabass. Pop-X for ponds 1 power,Cliff Thrilling 2 power, all around, Bait Finesse 4 power bottom contact & some moving baits, Daiwa BLX ml a little heavier but a great all around rod. I love my setups with 3 Daiwa JDM reels(can spool them with my thumb off & 3 gram bait). 1 Alderbaren bfs reel( doesn't throw as light a bait but has a heavier drag) smooth as silk. When I bass fish now, I don't carry a spinning rod in my boat. Thanks for sharing Tim.

    Something that they recommend is Sunline assassin fluorocarbon. I just recently picked some up and I couldn't be happier. This is far and beyond any line I've ever used. It is so surprisingly smooth, easy to cast and fairly abrasive resistant. So I'll say this is my favorite recommendation I've tried.

    Jig / Hook advice for the larger 5 inch would be helpful. Assume the best option there is a 8/0 or 9/0 rigged weedless. I'm new to the bigger swimbait game. I"ve already semi wasted money on TW buying the wrong stuff. I'd key in on best sizes in the tackle shop but everything is always sold out.

    • @marcusyoung2870
      @marcusyoung2870 Год назад +1

      A good rule of thumb is a 1/3 of the bait should be hook. 4/0 owner beast hook or 5/0 in other swimbait hooks works for me on 5" baits. Switch out any screw locks to the large size owner cps springs because they won't rip the core out of the head.
