    In the description it says "Mintzer-sax"
    I don't know what saxes you're looking at, but that there is a bass clarinet!

    fantastic playing.I saw Jaco for the first time in Amsterdam in 1975,with Weather Report.The last time in Cafe de Kroeg with Chet Baker ,must have been around 1986,Chet on dope,Jaco on booz.Not so nice to see, 2 very talented people is such a state of being.I just found ou t that there is Jaco park in Fort Lauderdale with a big mural painting of Jaco.

    I often have trouble hearing the changes and keeping the form during Jaco's solo, but I've heard that if you walk a line to the recording it all makes sense. I will try this.

      If you're refererring to Marcus Miller's comment he was talking about walking to the studio version from 76', not this solo that's quite frankly a mess..

    Where is the first half of this performance?! It's just Bob Mintzer gettin' funky on the bass clarinet?!

    I think this is from 82 when Jaco was still at his best.

    Recently I just cannot get enough bass clarinet -- besides Eric Dolphy and Bob Mintzer, who should I be listening to?

    Here it should say: "charly parker donna lee" and "chicken pee wee ellis" those themes aren`t of jaco p...

    • @richard.5268
      @richard.5268 5 лет назад +1

      The correct thing is to have both of names on the title... Especially talking about the chicken, that theme has the fame we all know thanks to jaco.
