Awesome seedling tray, didn't know that existed. However, please consider getting back to basics and avoiding Styrofoam as it is one of the worst things for the environment. Otherwise, nice video, thanks for sharing.
Should be fine I think it is just done this way for ease, I think the propagater helps to get the seeds to actually break open but if u can do it without, may aswell try, you could use cling film but I would try getting a cheap propagated just because the moisture gets trapped and drops to the bottom so u don’t need to remember to water as much which I forget to do
T J you don’t need any special trays , you know how I did ? I got small pot , I filled it with potting soil (miracle gro I used ) then I took non gmo tomatoes from store cut it carefully in slices , I put them gently on top of soil and cover it with little bit of soil sprinkle with water and I waited little bit and can you imagine that almost every seed germinated ❤️🥰❤️🥰

That tomato plug trainer is so cool.
This is 1 week? My tomatoes are 1 week old too but they are only 1 inch tall lol
Same lol
Same here. Maybe his are leggy and reaching for the light because he has it too far.
It's cause they are indoors, with best "weather" conditions and the lights were on the whole time. Though could also be the type of tomato.
same lol
Good idea,,thanks,,gracias,,,from arizona

You should never pick a tomato seedling up by its stem. Always by the leaf. Seedlings can always grow more leaves but only has one stem!
Yea good answer

Hello just wanted to ask you where did you buy your seed starter? I like it
Yes, me too, Earnest. I cannot find it online.

What did he add to the soil
He said it was vermiculite. Don’t know what that is though.
Is it ok to sow the seeds in individual cups so no need of transplanting the seedlings from the seedling tray to the cup?

Can they grow tomatoes in such small containers???😅😅😅😅or you are going to again transplant it???
no, its way too small for tomatoes
He did say that they still needed to wait 6 more weeks to put them outside, presumably transplanted to bigger containers.
Leggy
stop using sophomore! It never biodegrades!!!
bpmrox he used freshman
Yea styrofoam is the worst possible thing to use for this.
Then what else should we use
I use it and my seedlings always thank me. I use them over and over again so they never are put in the garbage.
@Sarah Forthun there's plenty of reusable or paper cups.
