Yet you wrote this comment with full honesty this indicates 2 things that u r very down to earth and you want to get rid of your laziness n soon u will conqure it.
I wish this stuff worked on me. Always looked up to these teachings growing up, but they never really stuck for me. The big thing that cured my laziness was learning physics. When entering physics you learn about a concept called inertia. Put simply this is a bodies tendency to resist change in motion. This, mixed with Newton's law that a body at rest will stay at rest, and a body in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an external force. Understanding these two things told me that we are all lazy by nature. And that Laziness will not fix itself. It can't be reasoned with. It's a matter of applying some kind of force (motivation) to create momentum. And once that momentum is built, all that inertia that was once keeping you lazy and at rest is now keeping you at high speed. . I've found that some of the laziest people can also be some of the most motivated people. They have the most inertia. They are often the hardest to get going from a dead stop, but once they get going, it's very hard to stop them.
@@BaronEurchild This is very intresting. I was wondering how or why the built up inertia might eventually translate into what later on will keep you at high speed. If there is an explanation for dummies ofc...

This made me feel dull and helpless in my mind, even afraid of living at times because I could not understand the evil things going on on the outside of my reality. Of course, I would feel the upsurge of joy, childlike innocence, but the mind was unable to make decisions. Now after realizing my fauld and making the effort to feed my mind with knowledge, putting myself in situations where likeminded people share their presence and experiences I feel much better. I’m a hospital chaplain… I would never tell someone who has lost their entire family in a car accident that their suffering is optional. I think this saying needs to be examined more thoroughly. It sounds nice but doesn’t really hold water when faced with the depth and reality of human suffering.
@@joko067 I see now how suffering is optional… But it would mean forsaking love. To love is to invite suffering into your life. But I think love is the better road.
@@timothyogwynn3410 In my opinion there is misinterpretation here. The cause of the suffering is not optional, the suffering itself is. For example in our current culture we suffer when a loved one dies, but it does not need to be so. Many cultures throughout history have celebrated death as the next step, in doing so there is a sort of mental alchemy at play, the same stimulus that causes one to suffer can lead another to rejoice. Its all in the mind of the beholder, we can choose to suffer or we can choose to not to and find peace in the inevitable.

Taking care of ourself doesn't mean that we have to take rest for whole day , even doing yoga and gym one or two hours daily will cure 80% of all our diseases !
Sleep and rest is important. 8-9hrs a night for normal people. 9-10hrs for athletes and people who do physical labor. Sleep is what builds a good and healthy body after working out.
I have wasted two years of my life...I found it so hard to get out of bed and when I tell myself there is a job to do my body would not move. I ignored the notification for this video on my phone, "Ah just another video to tell me how bad I am doing at life" the voice in my head said. I opened my laptop and there was the notification again before the voice had a chance I already clicked. I watched and listened to the words I already knew. Yet, something was different this time. I always put off checking on my ferrets one more time before I go to sleep because it's dark and cold...and some voice in my head said: "What am I so afraid of?" And I kinda just sat there trying to find the voice that always made up excuses to do things and it wasn't there...I got up without realising and did the job. Yet I know full well that the voice will be back, "Oh you don't have to do it you can do it tomorrow...it's just one entire cake you can start eating healthy tomorrow..." you get my drift. And the weird thing is I'm kinda okay with that, all I need to ask myself is "What am I afraid of?" I found that out thanks to this video. : )
Yes but here its used in a different sense. That their actions are not even given any thoughts. Like heedlessness. Lord Buddha himself said dwelling in thinking is equivalent to carrying the carcass of a dead dog around the neck of your mind
Letting go of all thought is the ultimate state, where the mind is silenced forever. Huang Po is a prominent example of one who stressed the importance of letting go of all conceptual dualistic thought. Good deeds for others will lead to good karma, bad deeds for others will lead to bad karma, however transcending thought and the experiencer will remove all karma and one will "attain" the state of Buddhahood or enlightenment.
There are illnesses named chronic fatigue and depression and even anemia, wich can cause someone avoiding having activities. Maybe it was not the case of the obese man in this Buddha story but even in a not very remote past this kind of medical conditions was easily misunderstood and mistaken or labored as laziness, too. Of course, at that time the medicine was not very advanced and people didn't have so much information about such kind of illnesses and they couldn't differentiate properly one from another. Of course in this story the cause of that rich man's laziness was excess of food and lack of exercising, but we always need to be aware about these illnesses to avoid judging someone falsely. I remember beeing accused of just being lazy by someone who was very spiritual but lacking in basic knowledge but it came out after a long fase facing burn out and PTSD accompanied with depressive symptoms I was suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.
Kel de Almeida I agree with you because I suffer from severe anemia and to precise illness sucks. But before I knew that I have this illness. I couldn’t walk much, had difficulty to breathe. Many other symptoms and I remember people telling me that, ‘Oh,that’s because she doesn’t want to work and want to sleep all the time.’ It happens when people look only one part of it.
Fact is... Controlling the mind is as difficult as subduing the wind. Mind can never be stopped. But an uncontrolled mind is our enemy, whereas a focused mind is our best friend. Mind over matter. Doesn't the mind follow the senses normally? But mind is actually above the senses. That's what makes us humans very rare amongst the 8 million 4 hundred thousand other non-human species. Hare Krsna. Trust me, after sitting around and just relaxing all day for several months straight, I can tell you that relaxing, being lazy (call it what you wish), gets old. Yes we can get get tired, yes work can suck sometimes, but the thing people don’t realize is that to truly be happy, we *must* balance out relaxation and freedom with work and obligations, or else our activities that we look to for pleasure will no longer satisfy us as much. Please take these words to heart. Most people work so hard to where they can relax for a *LONG* time, which can lead to overindulgence, and then the question of “Why am I still unhappy if I have everything I want?” Work gives us a sense of purpose.

Science has at the moment come to the conclusion that caloric restriction is one of the few proven ways to lengthen your life span and preserve your youth longer. It's not fun or great but when dealing with task that are life long takes great discipline and control.
Science has known that for a very long time, friend. Also: To lose weight means to burn more calories than you take in. In todays age, it is the processed, fatty foods, soda, and lack of activity that causes obesity. You can very easily lose weight *just* by replacing soda with water, snacking on vegetables/nuts/fruit instead of chips/chocolate/sugary drinks- if you do that *you will lose weight*. All these replacement foods have lower calorie counts, but remember that moderation is key. Dont eat for the sake of eating, only eat to satiate hunger.
Thank you! I’m seeking balance because I feel strongly about some things and want to just give up on others. Trying not to be extreme one way or the other.

Of course, I would feel the upsurge of joy, childlike innocence, but the mind was unable to make decisions. Now after realizing my fauld and making the effort to feed my mind with knowledge, putting myself in situations where likeminded people share their presence and experiences I feel much better. I love being at service to others, sharing joy and laughter, support. The world is a wonderful place to be, when you can direct how you want to interact with it.

@ Franz Berger , It does
@Franz Berger I battle with the karma thing. and I hope my doubt is wrong, wrong wrong. I bloody- well hope it exists. otherwise my life and judgement has and is all been in vain. Let's just HOPE. IT EXISTS
@Franz Berger Look back at your own life. Good things you've done and the bad things you've done. You are what you are today because of the things you did in the past.
@Franz Berger Simple logic. I don't think it needs to be proven. Think about your own life. It's more like an experience :)
@Franz Berger No one is forcing you to believe brother. It's more like a journey where you find yourself and the truth of life.
This one hit me really hard. I've come to understand that the best way for me to be of observice it's to improve myself through my spirituality. The greatest gift you can offer another is your presence. Thank you 🙏🏼

In islam the 3 main entity that govern the body is
The heart (as the main thinking source, the brain is just the physical component needed to process the taught)
The physical body
The Ruh (spirit) - when you die the spirit would leave your body.
A human would always need to feed these 3 things with good positive nutrition be it the heart, the body and the ruh (spirit) by doing goodness to yourself and to others.
Latest science studies shows that our heart have cells that is similar to our brain cells and have a direct connection to the brain

@Amol Bansode ya maybe leaving religion for money lol im not a buddhist but im interested not islam

" Pain is certain,suffering is optional "
-buddha
I’m a hospital chaplain… I would never tell someone who has lost their entire family in a car accident that their suffering is optional.
I think this saying needs to be examined more thoroughly. It sounds nice but doesn’t really hold water when faced with the depth and reality of human suffering.
@@timothyogwynn3410 A buddah is one that has transcended suffering
Would you tell this to an abused child, a raped woman or one suffering through cancer?
Thank you sir this is very helpful

That buddha. Always spoiling the atmos ...
Opulent dinner's, Love of sleep, hankering after pleasure, thoughtless and lack of occupation...
Taking care of ourself doesn't mean that we have to take rest for whole day , even doing yoga and gym one or two hours daily will cure 80% of all our diseases !
My day started with this video.. Yesterday saved it to watch later so that i can see this in the morning.. Thank you..
Thank you so much Divine energy always forever 🙏🌟 🌼🙏🌟🍫🙏🌟

Bro...that was so deep no joke it gave me chills
Actually, thoughtlessness is an advanced state.
Yes but here its used in a different sense. That their actions are not even given any thoughts. Like heedlessness. Lord Buddha himself said dwelling in thinking is equivalent to carrying the carcass of a dead dog around the neck of your mind
@@usitha correct
Are you referring to day dreaming?
thoughtlessness is not the same as mindfulness

Walking without having thoughts is the greatest gift man.

Most people work so hard to where they can relax for a *LONG* time, which can lead to overindulgence, and then the question of
“Why am I still unhappy if I have everything I want?”
Work gives us a sense of purpose.
