Have you tried playing your riffs in half time? They wouldn't sound as metal as they do now, but they would sound thicker and grimier. Slower tempos are great for melancholic sounds too.
I get what you mean. It would certainly create a nice, melancholic doom metal feel. However, Im pretty sure that is not what half time Means. Playing that riff In half time would not Walter the riff In any way.
@ripadblock I meant, changing the length of the notes. That would certainly alter the feel of the riff. But you're right, half time doesn't exactly imply changing the feel, since it's usually thought of as being something drummers do to make the same riff at the same tempo feel slower.
I was expecting something twice slower, but the riff is super meaty and melodic in the same time. Great job as always!
