I really hope this format doesn't replace the old MLB Connect videos. The "rapid-fire, throwing out guesses until one sticks" version was much more interesting imo. I dislike that Immaculate Grid requires you to get it right first try. It's more fun to just speed-run it. Still rewarded for getting it right first try since it saves time but you don't have to just sit there and think and think and think
Y’all shoulda try Immaculate Soduku. Instead of having teams on the outside, you have players instead. And the grid is trying to figure out which teams have both players have played for.
The one guy’s Jaret Wright Cleveland/Atlanta pull, which I thought he was using for Cleveland/San Diego. Always fun to hear someone from our old powerhouse glory days mentioned!
Just did the grid for today and went over 93, got a 94. So I've done it 6 times and 5 were sub 95 rarity. The one I got over 94 was pretty bad though. Got a rarity score of almost 300. I'm such a nerd.
Also hit those super low scores switching Nats for Expos, Orioles for Browns, and even Pilots for Brewers. Used Jim Bouton, Tommy Harper, Don Mincher at times on the sneaky trick, lol. Mike Marshall for Rangers and Tigers 0.009% is my most unique guess on any player ever.
The July 17 IG! I had a 20 rarity score with: Carlos Beltran-John Halama- Darryl Kile Adrian Gonzalez-Juan Rivera-Adonis Terry Rafael Palmeiro-Gary Carter-Mark Langston
I think it’s funny when people post with the low rarity ALL THE TIME on socials, and then in front of the camera it’s just High scores and unfinished boards 😂
“Dodgers 200 strikeout season is tough!” Yeah it’s not like Sandy Koufax holds second place for most strikeouts in a single season in the modern era with 382.
@@optimisticasfanoh no he doesn’t realize that he used three of the top answers because he is just trying to finish the board and doesn’t care about score.
remember Jolly you dont have to pick someone that got a gold glove WITH the Nats, its anyone who has won a gold glove AND played with the nats at any time.
I'm sure it's easier to film this with just one person doing Immaculate Grid, but it loses the charm compared to when Jolly was hosting. The conversation between two people feels more natural, at least as a viewer
What's your best score, I got an 11 on a 6 teams no categories grid. I love playing IG....I've gotten at least 2 on all the major NA sports. I feel like im one of the best at MLB and strong across all four big sports. I need to do some myself filmed. If you have a strong knowledge of older players and stats before the expansion era.
If the Expos count as Nationals candidates i'm going Hubie Brooks for the LA connection. Not a single panelist taking Koufax or Drysdale for LA 200+ K. No love for Lance Berkman for Hou-Tex.
Sad no one went with former Expos. Dawson or Carter or Guerrero as gold glovers, for example. Team's not just moved, but been completely forgotten about.
Oh boy this was from all the way back on July 17. I can't remember my time (since it was two weeks ago), but my rarity score was an ugly 84, thanks to my Ryan Zimmerman Gold Glove pick. I guess I can't be too upset since Ryan Zimmerman was a UVA alumnus like me. Mike Lamb (0.3%) Ivan Rodriguez (7%) J.R. Richard (7%) Frank Howard (0.4%) Maury Wills (0.09%) Dazzy Vance (0.3%) Buddy Bell (1%) Ryan Zimmerman (66%) Jim Kaat (2%)

i agree. i miss the old format lowkey
Agreed
Totally agree
Though I do like both formats, I agree they should do more of the quickfire type grids
i like these better
That's why Will Harris was so damn high %
Jake on my wavelength with the J.R. Richard pull. And he was also the only person to think about Expos players for the Nationals column.
Y’all shoulda try Immaculate Soduku. Instead of having teams on the outside, you have players instead. And the grid is trying to figure out which teams have both players have played for.
I miss the old connect :(
fr it was way better
I enjoyed this a lot more with the old board and 2 people in the room….
Absolutely
Love Kershaw as the 200k/gg option
In 2015 Kershaw had 301 strikeouts and has had had 7 200K+ seasons. Can’t believe people even question this
“Did Howie Kendrick play for the Dodgers?” NLCS MVP Howie Kendrick? 😂
"Hmm who could ever be an Astro and a Ranger" Proceeds to pick Nolan Ryan in a different category.
The one guy’s Jaret Wright Cleveland/Atlanta pull, which I thought he was using for Cleveland/San Diego. Always fun to hear someone from our old powerhouse glory days mentioned!
4 straight days with a rarity score of 93 or fewer. Had a 34 the other day thanks to my Earl Averill pull.
Just did the grid for today and went over 93, got a 94. So I've done it 6 times and 5 were sub 95 rarity. The one I got over 94 was pretty bad though. Got a rarity score of almost 300.

Eric Gagne may be the worst guess of all time
No koufax pulls is ridiculous
Fr we had Eric Gagne guessed before Sandy Koufax like c'mon man 😂
Too much young blood lmao
Big fan of the rarity score add. I feel like there should be a set time counting down instead of counting up though.
A long sigh is the only appropriate response to a wrong grid answer.
Today on the grid there was Cubs and A’s and I was in 0,1 percent with John Mabry
Jolly, you should probably clarify that for two stat/award cells, the player doesn't have to get both in the same season.
Konrad Schmidt was absolutely hilarious
Probably the first time he has ever been put in as a guess.
@@harrisonbaylor1432 15 total PAs, 13 years ago, all with the Arizona Diamondbacks. One season in the Reds system. But that's it. Absolutely insane
kevin parada and I went to middle school together! shoutout pasadena!
Dude, the title answer is too easy: Nolan Ryan!
I love the new grid intro

I am utterly shocked nobody went with Koufax.
My guy asked if beltre won a gold glove. Need to put respect on that man’s name. He won 5 gold gloves
If you're counting the Expos, Larry Walker won a GG for the "Nats"
I don't know why but I completely blanked on Will Harris for Astros and Nationals and instead immediately thought of Fernando Abad.
Jake wondering briefly if Clayton Kershaw has had 200 Ks in a season. He’s had 300 in one season, amigo.
The July 17 IG! I had a 20 rarity score with: Carlos Beltran-John Halama- Darryl Kile
Adrian Gonzalez-Juan Rivera-Adonis Terry
Rafael Palmeiro-Gary Carter-Mark Langston
Easy Nolan Ryan
I love the new grid you're using. 9 guesses makes each selection consequential. Keep it up.
Look it up yourself if you want. It’s pretty fun. Immaculate grid
I know y'all are young but you gotta tap into that Expos history, when you get stuck on Nats only lol.
Tomfoolerious Laugh
I think it’s funny when people post with the low rarity ALL THE TIME on socials, and then in front of the camera it’s just High scores and unfinished boards 😂
When I saw that title I though of Nolan Ryan right away
“Dodgers 200 strikeout season is tough!” Yeah it’s not like Sandy Koufax holds second place for most strikeouts in a single season in the modern era with 382.
Oh no he doesn’t realize that you get a better score by naming more obscure players 🗿🗿

You sure? Cause it doesn't work that way with other awards like MVP and Cy Young.
Also, Expos count for Nats
That’s not true, read the rules. They have to win the award with the team that they’re given.
this isn't true
@@samcrandall3094 Gary Carter and Andre Dawson won gold gloves with the Expos. Rules explicitly state that it's franchises, not teams.
Come to find out Adam Laroche did win that gold glove. 2012
Nolan Ryan dudes!
I had a rarity score of 31 on this one, headlined by the 0.04% Zach Reks pull for Dodgers/Rangers
Knew they were going to struggle with the NL teams
Where is the Sandy Koufax love for 200 K’s and Dodgers?
Chan Ho Park for the Dodgers 200K+ 😅
You guys should just add the rarity score to everyone’s time in seconds to give a one-value score. Lowest score wins the ep.
Dodgers, Ranger- Jerry Hairston Jr 👍
Didn't play the video yet but shame on you if Nolan Ryan wasn't an immediate thought
Roy Oswalt, Carl everett (assume Expos Count), Nolan Ryan
Adrian Beltre, Max Scherzer, Kevin Brown
Ivan Rodriguez, Ryan Zimmerman, Greg Maddux
They do count. All iterations of a franchise count. So you can use Expos for Nationals, Senators for Twins, etc.
J.R. Richard!
if i did this at least for the two teams ones Id just rifle through my baseball cards
Will Smith and Nolan Ryan
BBD not getting IKF for Rangers GG is embarrassing
Bring back the other connect. Most people have already seen these grids
All caps is bugging me more than it should
Rangers Gold Glove - Álex Rodríguez 2002 & 2003

Y’all don’t go Montreal enough
Shouldve gone with LaRoche
Just cause I keep seeing people say this and I want to set the record straight: Zim won Gold Glove at 3B not 1st

Kershaw gold glove best

I was disappointed to watch Jake type in "GONZ" in the search box and then chose Juan Gonzalez when Adrian was right there!
