perhaps its because of the lens I'm viewing this through but god damn, this is such a powerful anti-suicide message. 'stay awake, don't fall asleep. the way is long and the gloom is deep'. for me, the recurring phrase 'tainted by fate' felt like it meant 'succumbing to your fate'. taking the bad hand dealt to you and going along with it to a terrible end. its urging you to not let yourself be pushed. yes, its hard and its going to get darker before it gets better but there's still some embers left so the fires not out yet. the lyrics in latin being sung by children is what hits me so hard. they sing about how, if you keep pushing, you wont be controlled and your fate wont be designed by other people. how, one day, looking back on it all, you'll find that those experiences forced you to grow and without them you'd never be you. and the fact that they are children hints that these painful experiences happened when the singer was a kid. stellar work to all the people involved in making this, never fails to make me emotional
So true! "Your pride will not be slain" and "And your world will never fall away" hited me so hard. That's the words I wanted to hear for so long but no one talk about such things

I'm so happy that Curley G gets to sing Genshin's first english song. She has so much talents and this looks promising for her future as Hoyoverse likes to feature amazing and reknown artists as Zhou Shen and Tia Ray. My girl is an amazing singer despite her young age and deserve all the fame !

@@isafox4443 Well she arrived 1st in a survival idol show thanks to her singing, has been featuring many incredible singers, making solo for dramas, games, etc.
I follow her since the survival show and we were mostly shocked by her voice, that has strength, sweetness and beauty. Which is why she went really far afterwards, making it big individually compared to her teammates from the same show.

@@kokomi_245 she has! but barely update there. i recommended check her spotify. Type her Chinese name and you will see her acc. Almost all of her songs are ost for drama and full Chinese, but she has 2 songs full in English! It's "Flight" and "Emerald City".

What’s up with hoyo songs starting with caged birds metaphors
It's always about fate and freedom, which represent by bird in a cage. The concept is easy fit for characters

Well most people are tied to something like a bird in a cage, and its really interesting cuz most of em for sure are hoping or trying to break free from it which is also relatable.
Coz tevyat is a prison world cut off from the rest of Honkaiverse, hence the fake sky, caged bird, fate and freedom things that keep popping up everywhere
Robin's lore is very heavy in the caged bird metaphors. So was Nahida. House of Hearth is kind of playing into that trope as well.

This song actually reminds me of "Might+u" from MHA which is a song that also plays during an epic fight, and the fighting style of Arlecchino in the animation could fit MHA as well which only made this animation more enjoyable for me because I used to be an MHA fan and Arlecchino's fight brought back some of the emotions that watching anime gave me once 😄 and the choir of children was really breathtaking 😭❤️
