      Ryan looked good, still fast, lots of power, and he seems like he has matured greatly. He's becoming a man in front of us. I appreciate the humility after the Tank KO and I hope people get off his neck. He's proven that he is serious about his career, so let him do his thing. I didn't feel like that before the Tank fight. Line up Rolly so they can get paid and let Shakur see how real fighter deal with adversity. I look at Shakur how I used to look at Ryan before the Tank fight

    I'm not a huge Ryan fan, but honestly my heart was with him. He seemed like the underdog, like it was him vs the world. Glad he got this victory

      The round he was running around the ring, it seemed he had some mental health issues going on, the running was crazy if you go back and look at it, the fake shoulder roll was to avoid getting hit in the body and wont work against a Tank or some other good fighter, he got the win and like what Ryan stands for but this win was sketchy and hes not ready at all for Tank again, can he beat Dolly, yes but it wont be easy, Rolly can crack and will expose that mess he was doing in this fight.

    Ryan using shoulder roll is a good thing. EVen though it wasnt effective, he tried something new and which is good. He has intention and courage to improve and he learnt something, he learnt that it didnt work for him.

      He really did. Despite the size difference, I thought Duarte had a strong chance to break Ryan down towards the end, but he just kept letting that left hook make contact. His corner should have told him to double jab and feint in order to bait Ryan's left hook.

    Shout out to Ryan for staying in the pocket and finishing Oscar off. Oscar was crackin Ryan too, but in the end, he was hurt bad and his legs were gone. I was on Ryan's neck for talking such meaningless shit until he fought Tank, but after getting up off the canvas to go 5 more rounds I wasn't mad at him. He showed humility after the loss and I respect that. He has a good chin and hopefully Derek can help elevate his game so we csn see some great fights in the future. I think boots ennis team would be a great fit for Ryan footwork wise and etc I could really see him flourishing with that team. Or who knows maybe I eat my words and Derrick is the one for Ryan🤷🏽‍♂️

    I've never been a fan of Garcia, but I really wanted him to win today. He took his first loss against an elite fighter, but other than Teo, no such fighter at 140. I think he was always in control in this fight, he tried a lot of things and did exactly what he was supposed to do when he saw you cannot hard hit Duarte from close range.     Ryan looked very good to me. I saw him give his back at times but it was not submissive. He was using a modified shoulder roll to help avoid shots and set up his right hand counters, but he was not effective with it. He stayed in the fight despite the constant pressure. We have to give Ryan his props for a nice KO victory. While he was not prefect, he looked very good to me and showed the benefits of his dedication, hard work, and training with Derrick.

      Nah, he is already in his prime. He is 25; most boxers are already dominating at that age, but he definitely has a lot more time to be something. He sticks to his discipline and works with coaches that want to see him win, such as Derrick Jones, who has good coaching skills.

    Other than underestimating King Ryan's toughness and boxing IQ.. I believe the BRIGHT LIGHTS got to Duarte who refused to let his hands go when he hand Ryan in the corner and on the rope's... His corner had to literally tell him when and where to punch.lol All that talk before the fight means nothing if you get out there and freeze... Those Bright lights made Mayweather, Canelo so hard to beat. Now Tank and Ryan have that experience and advantage and their opponents.

    The Derreck James Ryan Garcia ... Sticking and Moving ... focused on defense and optimizing space aka spatial awareness is a problem for anyone ... period! That was only their first fight together. I cant wait to see their growth together.
    I loved how Derrick was talking/showing to and giving technical instruction to Ryan!
    The commentary for that fight was horrible.

    Ryan needs to learn how to use the Philly shell cause he was making me nervous turning nearly completely away from Duarte. Ryan is getting his man body and filling out. Shots sounded crisp when he would sit down. Needs to not stand so tall though.

    That philly shell thing Garcia did made him look like he was getting bullied and made it easier to be fouled in case it came down to points. He's lucky Duarte is kind of already punch drunk he didn't know how to respond to that, he only knows how to respond to fighters that actually look like they want to fight.

    The only thing I don't like is how he hasn't fully accepted the Tank loss and you can tell by the way he talks. Duarte isn't better than Tank in any way, so the credit he's giving Duarte is weird. Maybe he just shouldn't mention Tank anymore and keep boxing and hopefully racking up the Ws.
