This brought some memories. I used to live in the neighbouring city of Jingmen for quite a few years and would take the train to Yichang a few times per month. This was over 20 years ago and I barely remember the place now other than the journey to get there. I was never in a car so this is all new to me
China has 4 provincial level municipalities, 15 vice-provincial municipalities, 300 prefecture level cities and about 2000 county level cities, 99.9% of which are unknown to outside world or even Chinese themselves. Yichang is just one of the mediocre prefecture level cities.
@@johnjack4112 Famous places can not make a city not normal. There are a lot of small cities with famous attractions. Yichang is just an ordinary perfefecture level city among the other 300. It only ranks 52nd nationwide in terms of GDP in 2022.

Muy moderno, muy impresionante pero una ciudad rara, como carente de vida urbana... muy limpio y ordenado todo... pero... le falta espíritu de ciudad.
