We saw you guys riding through our town yesterday and we were so excited! If you are still in Cle Elum you have to get a donut from Cle Elum bakery! What a dream living an adventure everyday!
That was a fun video to watch. You guys are really living! The scenery is so beautiful and so many memories, even frog walking. I always look up the meaning of my dreams. The internet says a lot of things about dreaming about frogs. One is that dreaming about frogs means you are facing a personal transformation. You are about to experience the evolution of you mind. Go Frog go!
This is such a great adventure. The scenery is beautiful. Thank you for the videos. You both are so totally inspiring. I'm looing forward to all the videos along your route.
Full of even more admiration for you both! Didn't think that was possible.......In awe. So glad you are able to get some good weather and are getting onto more bike paths at last. What an adventure!
This is (going to be) such an epic road trip… I enjoy getting a glimpse of the small towns & cities as you go across the country…Do take care out there… and see you on the next one !!!
Thanks so much for the map! What an adventure this video turned out to be. Rain, snow, sun, mountains, valleys, lakes, water falls, trails and roads. You continue to entertain and amaze us. So silly I find myself tearing up at your photo montage. Keep smiling ladies.
I love the "claim your space" phrase. That's exactly it! It is so stressful and yes you do need to regroup once past the scary parts. So dangerous. Beautiful state you gals are doing it! Awesome! This has been so enjoyable to watch!
Yesterday 2 women on the Interurban trail through Edmonds were robbed .they were both walking. Watching and thinking of you 2. Please be aware and safe out there. On a funny thought. I love your hat's and can't help but think of the movie The flying nun evrrytime I see a video of you 2 riding . Always gives me a smile. We love your journey, your positivity and your video's. So Glad you made it to the rail trail. That was stressful watching you on the road with all that traffic…ugh! You two are so inspiring! Love the inspirational phases!
So so fun to have met you along the way. Hope the eastern parts are friendly and filled with more adventure. I know you’ll make the most of it. You willl always be welcome back with us anytime. Keep the spirit and laughs.
I just discovered your channel. Nothing like viewing many of the same roads/paths/gravel I cycled last year on my 2000-mile bikepacking trip. Good memories! And I had to laugh as you slept on Snoqualmie Pass at the exact same picnic table as I did! I didn't have any slugs though.
PS: when you two came up with the bike adventure across USA I thought to myself “that doesn’t sound like fun- “ but watching you now - I change my mind. I’d love to be doing it
Just love seeing you two bicycling through my local stompin' grounds around western Washington state! I hear ya' about the Woodinville-Duvall Rd--treacherous! Glad you were able to get past it to the beautiful bike trails beyond.
As the navigator, because I own the garmin, when riding roads it is so much more stressful to insure not getting “off trail”. But once on the rail trails it so nice to just breath and enjoy the ride!!
Oh ladies, loving your bike trip! I went on a 400+ mile rail to trail bike trip and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Beautiful trail scenes along your way. So nice all the people you met along the way that you showed us. Your laughter at Annette's frog dream was infectious. I couldn't help but laugh. I get punchy when overtired too. Just love your videos and your adventures! Will follow along with you here on YT. Take care.
Hi ladies! I'm a fairly new member of the WaWo fan club. Been watching your previous videos and loving every minute of your adventures. I was so excited to find out about your bike trip, and watch it as it occurs. I put everything I owned (not much!) into storage in the 80s and bike toured extensively...Lake Tahoe to Seattle, New England, and big tour from Santa Barbara to Mexico border, then up to Jasper Canada crossing the Continental Divide a dozen times, and finally back down the coast to San Francisco. Stored everything again in 93 for a 3 month tour in Germany, Switzerland, a month in France, and brief visits to countries in between and around Europe with my husband. Your adventure brings back so many memories! I hate touring in the rain!! The French locals told us it was the rainiest summer they'd had in years, but we managed and even learned to work around it, as I know you will. Ride on ladies!👍🙌
Just found your channel, will be watching with interest because I have been considering riding the great American rail trail and I know it's only about 1/2 trail. Want to see what the road sections are like.
WAWO magic all the way. and the T-shirt moment..."it's not my frog!" this could be the answer to so many of life's challenges. Snow and slugs and rain, oh my! Best of all your smiles and laughs when facing the unknown and the uncomfortable challenges learning and growing. Bravo and Bike on!
Im following along on the map, so the town and trail names are super exciting to hear. It's a great idea to connect with people who know the area, very smart...I can agree with how it's so easy to pack more than you actually need...it will take a while to get in tune with the whole routine and the exertion on your body...OWN YOUR SPACE love that!! Happy trails.
There’s a great coffee shop in Cle Elum with delicious pastries. (Sorry I don’t remember the name, but the pastries were better than the bakery!) Hope you have a nice sunny day tomorrow! It’s pouring rain here on the east side of the cascades.
I’m glad you guys got to use some of the bike trails to stay safe. I was riding further north on the Centennial Trail and got dumped on in the afternoon. Naturally I didn’t have my rain jacket so I hid under a tree for 10 minutes. Now you are in the warmer and drier part of the state. I haven’t gone past the Columbia River on that trail yet, but you might need to call the park rangers for the combination for some of the gates. Some of the trestles were burned in fires the last couple years so you may have to road ride around them
I wish I could remember a dream so vividly. Laughed out loud at the frog story. It is wonderful that you have friends along the way and they are helping you out. The scenery is beautiful and I'm glad you finally got some sunshine. Surprised there aren't more people on the trails although it is early in the biking season. I was wondering it you wear bike shoes that lock into your pedals? Also, is it necessary to do anything with your food bags at night? It's fun coming along with you. Take care, be safe.
I've done backpacking and tons of biking and you should carry the exact same stuff. the only thing you might add would be a couple of parts and the tools that will get you back to town. now that you have been out for a few days that has your bikes up to snuff and you will have very few surprises luck and have fun
There are long tunnels like that underneath Donner Pass in the Sierras, just a couple hundred yards east of the PCT. They were originally built by a Chinese laborers working for the Central Pacific Railroad in the nineteenth century, but some time ago the train was rerouted and now they're open for hiking. Very cold and wet when the snow is melting!
