I first found out about cheong (청) through MyCookingTree's youtube channel and have loved making these fruity delicious syrups ever since! They make such flavorful and delicious drinks, especially during the summer. You can let them sit outside longer to ferment and even turn a bit vinegary, which adds a nice tang!
    Ingredients:
    Cheong
    Equal parts fruit and sugar
    375g peaches
    375g sugar
    Drinks
Lemonade (1 part lemon 4 parts water)
    100ml lemon juice
    400ml water
Sparkling water (I used Topo Chico)
    Brewed black tea (cold)
I would appreciate a like and subscribe if you haven't already :)

I want to make this so badly but whenever I have white peaches in front of me I have the overwhelming desire to eat them fresh. Such a dilemma...

This looks absolutely delicious! What do you do to sanitize your glassware before making it? I always feel like mine aren't clean enough 😅

I wash the containers thoroughly with hot water and soap. And then I place them in boiling water! But truthfully, I dont do the last step all the time… 😬

Another great recipe! Am I able to use this with other fruits or will the weight in grams need be different?

Yes! You can use it with other fruits. Equal weight of fruit to sugar. :)

Hi! I live in a tropical country so the average room temp would be around 27-30 degrees celsius. Would you recommend putting it outside for the first 2 days in room temp as well, in my case?

Umm Im not so sure about fermentation in hotter weathers. But I feel like leaving it in the fridge from the start also works as well, just to be safe.

Do you think yellow peaches would work too, or would they be too tangy?

the captions unfortunately are glitching, they pop up all at once in the start of the video

I believe you need to set the captions to English (United States) instead of English (auto-generated)? Not 100% though.
